Call me Sergio

Kaito slowly opens his eyes. In front of him, his eyes see the bright ceiling lights, and his ears hear the beeping sound of the ER machine. He looks around and sees a nurse writing something on a board. He tries to get up. Still, the nurse stops him. "You shouldn't do that…you need rest", she claims as she puts Kaito's head back on the pillow. Still, Kaito didn't want rest; he wanted answers. He again tried to get up but soon found out his hand was cuffed to the hospital bed "What the hell…hey! What the meaning of this??" he shouted, asking the question to the nurse. Still, she just calmly refuses to answer anything. No matter how much Kaito pushes her, she stays calm. Defeated, Kaito lay on his back all he could think about was the angel, where was she now, and was she safe, all his questions were soon answered as he heard her voice he turned his head to the right and saw her running towards him behind her was the DSP with a constable following him kaito got up he hugged her in the bring of joy he was worried thinking they might know about him. They will put him in, but his thoughts were proven wrong just as the DSP says his words "uncuff this man" the constable hesitated but did it anyway DSP then pat kaito on his solders and whispers it to him "I don't know who you are, what you do, and how you do it all I know is that you saved my daughter and I thank you for that and that's why I am letting you walk now, but…I want you to stay away from my daughter. I don't know why, but I feel something from you. I don't want our paths to cross ever again. I hope you wish the same. Still, if they do, I don't want my daughter to get between us you understand" Kaito nodes his head. He leaves the hospital room living DSP and a confused constable behind "are we letting him go sir?" the DSP says nothing he leaves the room and walks past couple more rooms than he stops in front of an operation theatre he looks inside threw and says "we already got a bigger fish to fry" mention the big bear who's currently been operated after being shot by Grace back at the station.

Outside of the hospital

Samuel came to pick up Kaito and Angel, seeing a friendly face, Angel felt joy and quickly hoped in the truck Kaito behind him got in the car, too as they were about to leave, Samuel heard a female voice calling Kaito's name he looked on the right and saw Miss Grace running towards them, he asked Kaito about her, but he didn't say much but to drive now before she gets close this was a little awkward for Samuel as he saw them talking at the bar yesterday and now it's like he's avoiding her any way he drove and left Miss Grace behind disappointed, for new few days a back and fort chase keeps on Miss Grace tries to stop Kaito but he always finds a way to ran away from her in the club, the street everywhere a week goes by, and this time Miss Grace had enough. She goes straight to Samuel for help, and he does, saying, "How could I say no to a pretty lady like you?"

Later

Kaito looked around, but he didn't see anything suspicious at this point. His biggest concern was to avoid Miss Grace rather than the bloodthirsty mobster looking for blood. Kaito enters his house, and he sees Miss Garce playing with Angel. Seeing them makes him feel joy. Still, at the same time, he is furious at seeing her even after ignoring her for so long. "OK, ok, my turn. I'll go hide, and you find ok!?" said Angel. The little girl was so preoccupied with playing that she didn't even realize that his dad had returned. Miss Grace, however, noticed Kaito's presence but didn't break character. She followed Angel's lead. She closed her eyes and started counting "1…2….3….4…" She slowly counted, and Angel rushed out of the room into hiding. Once she finished counting, she got up and looked at Kaito. "We met at last; she said with a little smirk on her face. With confident and bold stance was enough to set Kaito off. He quickly grabbed he by her arms and pinned her against the wall. "Why are you here? What do you want!?" He questioned her. This wasn't the Kaito she had met before in the club; this person was someone else. It's a completely different personality from his; he was someone like a cruel man. Even though she knew Kaito wasn't a bad person, now she wasn't so sure. "Hey…you are hurting me" Grace says, pointing out the tight grip Kaito has on her arms, as Kaito realize what he is doing he leaves her, he moves away from her a bit, at that moment he looked more disappointed and sadder rather than angry before she could figure more about him Kaito turned around and faced the window turning his back on her hide his face. "I looked up about you…...you are not really into hiding" Grace says…she wants to check Kaito's reaction, but with his back turned, she couldn't figure out if he feels anything or not, so she continues "All it took me was to put your name there, and it's all there…. who you were, what you done, why you here everything" Grace says, wanting a reaction from him, but all she gets is silence "Look, I know you don't trust me anymore…But I need you…...this city needs you" Her words suddenly feel a lot different now. It's like something he didn't expect, but he has to keep his guard up. He stands straight and says nothing "I know that you don't want me to be here anymore but…you came to this city for a reason…. this city is drifting apart and only you could save I saw what you can do …all I am saying is you are not alone, I know it's confusing but I'll explain everything later meet me at the roof of the station at 10 tonight I'll be waiting for you" Grace says, and she leaves the house once he hears the main door opening and closing. Kaito turns around and sits on a chair. His face showed multiple emotions. He doesn't know what has been happening ever since he came to this city. Something was always wrong, and now Miss Grace is involved in it too "Dad…when did you come?? And where's Miss Grace?" Angel asked while peeping from the next room door

Later that night

Kaito woke up to the sound of his phone ringing "Who could that be?" He thinks, he gets up, he slowly moves towards the phone thinks about all the possibilities that he might hear from the other side. He picks it up and slowly puts it close to his ears. he stays quite quiet, waiting for something, but no response; this all feels a little off to him. he puts the phone back and turns around as he was about to leave, the phone rang again. "Ring…. ring…." This time, with a quick swiftness, he picks up the phone and lashes out, "Who the hell is this?" He shouts but still gets no answer with anger he smashed the phone on the table hurting his figure in process just as he was about to go to his room he saw something moving outside of his house, this made him a little worried he quickly takes a full run around the house and checks for anything unusual but found nothing he then goes straight to his room and lying on the bed, just as he closes his eyes he hears multiple noises, people whispering, walking around, preparing weapons, etc. at this po8bt he can't figure out if it was all really or just his imagination whatever it was he could sleep that night he walking out of his room he drags a couch on the center of the hall looking straight at the main door and sat there the whole night on watch, for the next few hours he just sat there in complete silence looking at the door….

Later

Kaito feels a slight cold cloth in his forehead he slowly opens his eyes and found himself lying on his bed changed cloths and a wet towel on his forehead he quickly got up astonished by the moment as he was recalling what happened last night, he hears footsteps coming his way he quickly hide behind the door and waited as the door opens he ambushed on the person and slams her on the wall "OUCH!!!! WHAT THE HELLL!!" it was Grace, due to the impact she drops the food plate from her hands she was shocked but more than her kaito was surprised by seeing her "what are you doing here!?" he asked her tightly his grip forcing an answer out of her but before she could say anything angels storms in "dad???" he looks at her and let Grace go later they all sat on the table "she called me not just an hour ago she said she find you on that couch sleeping and your body was heating up like sun when I came we then put you bed and tend you" she then looks at angel and says "your daughter is really special so mature then her age its really cool" angel giggles "hey, remember you showed me a picture book you made why don't you see me what else you draw" Grace says to angel trying to get her out of the room which she successes angel happily leave them alone just as she steps away Grace turns to her serious face and asked Kaito "now you tell me what the hell is going on with you!?" Grace points out but kaito's didn't reply he didn't even look at her she then again asked pushing him after some efforts kaito quickly garbs her hand and looks deep in her eyes then he points out "there is a line…where you stand and you don't want to cross that line" this scared her she quickly pulls her hand back, kaito thought that would scare her but to his Suprises she wasn't even fazed with a quick reply she stunned kaito "or what you are going to kill me too ?? just so you know I maybe the only one in this town who doesn't want you dead I am your only friend here and if you even have 2 brain cells you know what I am saying is true, don't think about me at least think about her what if one day you leave and some punk gets lucky and ends you what happens to her huh?? Let me help you" kaito was speech less he doesn't know what to do next a lot of thought are coming in and going out at the moment just as he was about to say anything angel storms in in the room she puts her drawing book in the table and start showing them while angle sits in between them they looks at each other and communicate through their eyes just then kaiot's phone rings "excuse me" kaito's says he got up and walks to the phone completely forgotten what happened last night very casually he picks the phone "hello…" he says on the other side it was Samuel "hey..man, listen there is someone here who wants to meet you, come by the club when you get a chance…ok" his voice feels pale like he was afraid or worried before kaito could say anything Samuel disconnects the call this feels a bit unusual to him he quickly rushes to change his cloths when he returns angel stops him "where are you going??" kaito's looks at her for the first time he stutters he looks at grace and says "I have to you to work something important just came in" he lied he had no idea what is going on but he sees no other choice then lie "can I come??" she asked innocently "well I am sorry but you can't not today…why don't you….um….you" kaito was having trouble here and before he mess up Grace save him "I'll take care of her, I already took a leave day better I stay here with her" kaito looks at Grace with shock cant say the same for angle who jumps in excitement after hearing the idea "you will!! The whole day!?" she asked with bright sparkling eyes "of course if your dad allows it." Grace says they looks a kaito for his permission "can she stay dad please…" at that moment kaito had a lot going in his mind to get out quickly he agrees "alright find. She can stay, happy. Now I got to go" he rushed to the door puts his shoes opens the door "bye, take care, love you…" and he storms away still in front of the door angel looks at Grace and says "was he said that last bit to you??", "ANGEL!!!" Grace gasped…

At the Club

Kaito finds it weird that the club is extremally crowded then usual people are coming in and out it's like a massive party going on the navigate himself through the crowd and approaches Samuel who was busy fixing the drinks "Samuel!!!! Samuel!!!" he shouts which Luckly gets his attention he approaches kaito and says "ah you finally came listen the guy is in the manager's office he's expecting you" Samuel points out the way and returns to his work, kaito have question rather then going in he came to follows Samuel and asked him "who is it!?" he asked which Samuel replied "you better see for yourself" he pats his shoulder and leaves him with no clue of what to come he goes to the manager's office before entering a guy well dressed in a black suit stops him "where are you going??" the man asked he was tall and super jacked kaito playing the weak guy act replies nervously "the….manager…..is expecting me…." The big guy buys his act he gets in first, kaito wait out side he then came back "ok you go…" as kaito was about to enter the room the door open and a women walked out she looks kaito and winks at him anyway he went inside there he saw a man pulling his pants back up at the moment kaito's was confused and disgusted by the sight he have to see as the man finishes he turs around and take a good look at kaito "you wanted to see me" kaito's replies nervously the man walked towards his menacingly only to his surprise the man burst into joy "Kaito!!!!" that man hugged him real tight "it's been so long…where were you…..huh!!! oh man I missed you!" kaito was confuse how does tis man possible know him "what you don't remember me, it's me your boy….remember the creek boys" hearing the word creek boys rings a bell in his mind he take a good look at the man and then he realizes "Vincent!!!" its was Vincent also known as Vince kaito's only childhood friend before he ran ways from his parents' house "hey, no one calls me that….now they call me SERGIO..."

Later they sat down at the table and had a few drinks, where they caught up about the old days and talked about what's going on lately "So how did you become this….I remember you living on the sewers man" Sergio smile while he pours himself a drink "ah this is nothing after you ran away I tried to turn my live around did some petty jobs nothing to fruity then I met this one guy real serious guy I did some jobs for him and he teach me is way and few years after I am a well know businessman" he raises his glass kaito cheers him then Sergio asked "enough of me what you been doing??" kaito smacks his lips and replied "well …running away wasn't as easy as it seems I lived on the road for a few weeks then just like you did some petty jobs from place to place nothing really worked out when I get I right age I joined the army but that didn't worked out either so I came back here" after listening to him Sergio points out "so…what's bring you back??" Sergio asked, which kaito sadly replies "my parents died." Sergio then realized how foul his question was "oh shit…sorry man, I totally forgot about that" Sergio comforts kaito "what you know about that!?" kaito asked "well everyone knows, he was getting disturbed by this guy who is member of a well-established gang here, I tried to help your old man but you know him…always so self-centered never agreed for help thinks he got it" kaito agrees "yeah I know, that's one of the reasons I ran away" kaito feels bad for him or for his father maybe his mother but Sergio lighten him up "hey…screw the past this is the next chapter in the book of creek boys" they raise their glass for a cheers just the on clashing their glasses shattered both of them was confused what happened before they could think anything kaito hears something "GUNS!!!" he quickly garbs Sergio and they jumped down flipping the table in process to use as a cover which saved them from the bullet shower that follows up, "what happed Mr. Sergio" the big guy rushed in only to be full of holes just the moment he came in for 30 second strength the bullets didn't stop its like if that continues they well go deaf then it's all went quite they peeks from the tables and nothing happened suddenly a shout came from the other side "SERGIO!!!! Your time is up!!!!" Sergio crawls towards a hole in the wall and looks though it "ah….shit, this is was sooner than I thought" he crawls back to kaito "here take this" he give him a gun kaito's not sure what is going on "what going on man", "I explain everything later just stay close to me" he just says that and start looking for some on the ground in between kaito decide to look for himself he peeps for the hole and was shocked at what he say "SHORTCUT!!!" he was alive and he was about to rain fire on the Velvet club "shit…he knows!" kaito thinks that all of this was for him but then something else happened, Sergio finds the walkie talking "listen boys, it's on " he just says that "what the hell is going on!?" kaito asked which Sergio replies with absolute joy "you were in the army right, well solider we are going to war….."
