That traitor.

Blood soaked through his fingers, his hand against his stomach. He heaved painfully, and his vision swayed as he rested his body against a tree.

I can hardly believe it… that fool dared to betray me?!

His lips quivered, and his eyes burned up from heat. He blinked many times, but couldn't stop tears from falling "F-Fool... That FOOL...!" His voice cracked, and a strike of pain stung him, making him shut up and quickly press down harder on his gaping wound.

I'll get my revenge on that dope... Just HE wait.

A glint of something caught his eyes, and he began slowly walking towards it. With each step it felt like he was getting stabbed all over again. However, pure will forced him through the pain and forward.

Pushing past leaves, a clearing came to sight. There was a serene lake, and the full moon stood tall above it. Magical crystals were standing at the edges of the lake, each glinting beautifully.

Wobbling on his legs, he leaned against the tree behind him. I could use a magic crystal to heal me… He pushed himself off it, and walked over to the edge of the lake.

He walked to stand before a big crystal, however-- "Where did he go?!" "I don't know, maybe he ran this way? It looks like something was dragged here." Footsteps got closer

"Tch, idiots always ruin everything..." He picked up a stone near his foot, weighing it a little in his hand, before ramming it into the crystal, again, and again, and again. Until finally, a small piece flew off. It landed just before the water. Amon quickly went over to it, making sure to be careful not slipping into the deep water. He picked it up, his long white hair dipping into the lake in front of him.

The footsteps got dangerously close, he began shaking, and tapping on the crystal, frustrated. Teleport me now you stupid little thing.

"There he is!" The voice was behind him. Amon turned around, and glared at the people behind him.

A woman stood there with hair like autumn, she had an annoying, and stern expression on her face. "Amon, don't run away! We are not going to hurt you."

Next to her stood a blonde man with a noble air around him, he had a red and white army uniform on. His hand held a sword that pointed at Amon. "Lord Amon," he said with an empty look. "Surrender yourself."

Amon felt like spitting in his face. "And why should I do that, King Of Hearts?"

He tightened his grip on the sword "Your disciples have all been arrested, you're alone. If you come quietly, we won't hurt you."

Amon looked around for something to save him, but there was nothing.

The man stepped closer, and Amon took a step back, pushing him to the edge of the lake

His breath got shaky, and tears began falling again. No, no, no. I cannot get locked away, not before I achieve my goal.

As he backed away, his foot slipped on the wet stone, and he fell head first into the lake. He gasped just before his face got engulfed by the water. He sank, too weak to swim up.

The crystal fell out of his hand, and sank faster than him, he desperately reached for it, but it was just out of his reach. The tip of his ring finger brushed against it tantalizingly, it lit up for a moment, before sinking to the depths of the lake, along with himself.

Forcing his eyes open in the water, he could see the flowy images of the woman, and the man, their expressions intangible.

His vision began to sway, and his lungs forced him to breathe in the water out of desperation. He coughed violently underwater. His eyes forced themself shut, and everything went dark.

Amon let out a desperate shriek and he quickly sat up. Looking around panicked. Confused breaths left his mouth. The room was pure white, and strange, almost otherworldly things laid around.

Looking down, he saw he was dressed only up to his hips, and his stomach was covered in bandages. Weird things were attached to him, with strings that led to a beeping thing. Thing thing thing, so many things that he did not understand, nor know what was.

These machines are nothing like I've seen before. Where could I possibly be?

A person entered the room, they had poofy afro hair, and a cute, chubby face. "A-ah, you're awake! A...re you okay?"

Who is this dope?

Amon scrutinized the cute fellow for a few moments, before opening his mouth "and you are who exactly?"

"O-Oh, sorry, my name is Cinn'! I found you laying on the ground... Bleeding heavily."

The ground? But didn't I fall into a lake? Unless someone pulled me out, and just rudely left me in the dirt.

looking further down on them, they wore unusual clothes. Not anything he had seen before.

A buzzing sound suddenly could be heard, surprising Cinn', and they quickly pulled out an unusual device, and tapped on it. "Excuse me for a second, one of my mothers are calling--" the person then continued on to mutter into the unusual device, as they walked out of the room.

How odd. Amon inched himself to the edge of the bed, groaning as a zap of pain hit him. Stupid strings! Amon pulled out the strings attached to him, and the machine started letting out a long beep.

"Ah! What are you doing?!" The person with an afro quickly returned to the room.

"I'm leaving." Amon said simply.

"Leaving? But what's the rush? You have to stay and recover!" The person put their hands on his shoulders.

Amon slapped their hands away "where's my robe and cloak?"

"Your... Cosplay? You're worried about that right now?"

Cosplay? What is he talking about?

As Amon thought about everything, something caught his eye in the window that was almost completely covered by the curtains. It looked like a bird... But something felt off.

Standing up, Amon went for the curtains and pulled them away. He froze up, and breathed in tightly.

"This world..."

It's...it's not mine.

But how did this happen? One single magic crystal couldn't possibly hold enough power to transfer me to another world, so how come this happened?!

"You should be laying in bed, please get back down!" Cinn' said

Amon slowly looked behind him, staring Cinn' dead in the eye. Silent.

Cinn's eyes widened, before looking away. shutting up.

Amon supposes he has to deal with these annoyances, before he can think properly. Although there is one way they can be useful to him.

"You. I need a place to live."

"Uh... Huh?" They looked caught off guard. "Don't you have a house?"

Amon huffed "Doesn't matter."

"Well... I work for this college, you could loan a room there for free... I think." They scratched the back of their neck "But that's a staff only option... but we do need a janitor!"

Amon looked insulted by the suggestion "Absolutely not. I will not work as a mere servant, like you."

"Servant? What are you talking about?"

Cinn' waited for an answer, and when they didn't get it, they continued on "Listen, I'm trying to help you. But I can only do that if you let me."

Amon's brow furrowed. "Oh, don't be corny."

Cinn's breathed out an impatient breath, before breathing in again to calm themself. "Well, do you have a better idea?"

Amon went quiet. …My top priority right now is securing my stability in this world.

I…I shouldn't let my pride blind me for this opportunity.

Amon sighed deeply, "Fine." he grimaced at his own word.

Cinn' smiled neatly, and put their hands together. "Good... But you still have to stay and recover." Cinn' put on an annoyingly stern face.

"You--"

Cinn' put a hand over Amon's mouth "No, I will hear to no resistance! You need to recover."

They pushed him down on the bed, and forced him to lay down.

Why is that little thing so strong? Amon tried resisting, but it was no use.

"You will stay until the doctor says so, and then we can get you that college dorm."

Amon's left eye twitched. Back in my world, I could have his head for treating me with even an inch of this insolence... but for now, I guess I should just deal with it. As insulting as it is, I am nobody here. I will have my revenge on him, no matter how long it takes. "Fine, I agree to stay."

Cinn's eyes widened "Oh... Oh! That's good!" Cinn' clapped their hands together in a satisfied manner "Now then, I shall ask the doctor how long you'll be here. I'll be back in just a second."

They then left the room, locking the door behind them.

The sun stood tall up in the sky, both Amon, and Cinn' walked out the hospital entrance as Cinn' called it.

I had to stay for a whole week. But no matter, revenge has no time limit.

This Cinn' is at least useful as to go out of his way to help me like this. What is his motivation though?

"Oh, there's our ride!" Cinn' waved out to a vehicle they seemed to recognize.

However, Amon looked quite spooked by it. "What is that cursed beast?!"

"You mean the car?" Cinn' tried to stop themself for laughing.

When it pulled to the side, Cinn' approached the vehicle, and the window rolled down to reveal a white haired individual, with an odd haircut, and red eyes. "Hellooooo! Did ya miss me?"

"No, I did not even think about you, heh."

"Whaaaat, how dare you, haha!"

Red eyes? Does this world also have magic users?

She doesn't appear to be using magic though, is she like that boy Loki? Eye's stuck red.

The white haired person turned her head to look at Amon "You must be the man Cinnie talked about! I must admit, you're real pretty."

Cinn' looked over at Amon and quickly explained "This is Vai! She's a close friend of mine, and a coworker."

"My actual name is Vanilla, and Cinn's is Cinnamon! We just call ourselves Vai and Cinn' because our names are unusual."

Amon tilted his head. I remember I had a senior disciple with that name. He was also dark skinned like this Cinn'. Although I'm not sure why that came to mind now.

Cinn' opened the door to this vehicle, and motioned for Amon to get inside.

"I'm not getting inside that death-trap." Amon pointed at it dramatically.

"You sound like my grandma." Cinn' sighed, and began ushering him into the car, ignoring his protests.

Cinn' closed the door, and went to the front, and opened the door, and sat on the seat, they took the black belt like thing and clicked it into something on the other side.

"Alrighty, let's go!" Vanilla started the machine, and the vehicle started driving.

What is this witchery?!

However, a beeping sound suddenly started.

"Oh, someone forgot their seatbelt!" Cinn' and Vai looked at each other's seatbelt, before looking at Amon.

"What?" Amon looked confused by their staring.

"Ya forgot your belt." Vanilla pointed to the belt thing on Amon's right.

Amon still looked confused, but still grabbed the 'seatbelt', and clumsily clicked it in place.

"Haha, let's go again." Cinn' clasped their hands together, and Vai started the vehicle again, driving away.

As they drove, Amon looked out the window, watching all the things they passed by.

This place is so grey… and the air smells terrible of smoke.

"By the way, where are ya from?" Vai asked Amon.

"...Far away." Amon answered.

"Uh-huh." The car went quiet.

"...So ya got any family?"

"No." he replied.

Cinn' motioned for Vai to not ask more questions, and she just noded and did as told.

Once they arrived, Amon quickly exited the vehicle, and Cinn' followed out.

Vai stayed, and waved goodbye to them. "Bye byeee!" She then stepped down on something, and the vehicle drove away.

Cinn' waved farewell to her, and then turned to look at Amon. "Ok, so! This is the college I work at." they gestured to the building. "The principal's name is Blanc, he is a bit of an oddball, but he's sweet."

'Blanc'? What an oddly familiar name.

"Shall we head inside?" Cinn' held their hand out for Amon to grab.

Amon ignored Cinn's hand and simply said "Yes."

Cinnamon looked somewhat disappointed, but kept a smile on their face, as they led Amon inside the college entrance, and to the office door.

Cinn' hesitated a little, before opening the door with a long creak. Inside however, was a pale haired man who was messing around on the ground, feeling around for something.

Amon peeked inside, the room was quite messy, but clean. Bookshelves surrounded it, with a desk in the middle.

"Blanc, are you okay?" Cinn' crouched down next to him.

"Yes, I just lost my glasses, and I can't seem to find them anywhere…"

Cinn' looked on top of Blanc's head, seeing his glasses right there. They carefully grabbed Blanc's glasses and laid them where Blanc was feeling around.

Blanc's face lit up. "Ah, I found them!" He neatly placed them on his face, the glasses framed his face perfectly, and he looked over to Cinn'.

They just smiled, and helped Blanc stand up.

Behind them walked Amon in, cringing at Cinn's kind act.

Amon and Blanc locked eyes, and there was something oddly familiar with Blanc, that he couldn't place a finger on it.

Blanc smiled, and put a hand near his heart "Ah, Hello there, young lady."

…Excuse me?

Amon crossed his arms, his left eye twitching "Did you just call me a 'lady'?"

Blanc looked surprised "Oh, are you not? I'm deeply sorry."

The room went quiet.

Cinn' looked between them frantically, before interrupting the silence. "So! Me and Amon here, came to ask if he could get that janitor job that has been sitting in the dust for a while." Cinn' then continued on "He is currently in need of shelter, so I thought he could get that employment deal of getting a room for a job?"

Blanc looked over to "Oh, that would be nice! I've been searching for another janitor for a while since the place is getting quite too dirty for the other one to handle."

"Oh, yeah! Is Zero doing okay? I haven't seen him around lately." Cinn' put a finger on their bottom lip.

Zero? Amon looked caught off guard by the familiar name.

"Yes, he is just currently taking a leave due to being sick, he should be back in a week."

"I see! I should bring him some gifts then, after this." Cinn' looked over to Amon who was zoned out in his thoughts.

Blanc noded, and then looked through the shelves of his desk, messing around in it before pulling out a piece of paper. "I just need your signature on this paperwork so you can get a room, although the one you'll be getting already has an older student in it, I hope you don't mind."

Amon snapped back to reality, a little befuddled. "It… It'll suffice, I suppose." Amon said with a sigh, and he took the weirdly shaped pencil, and wrote down his full name.

"Hmm, Amon… Jabberwock." Blanc looked fascinated "Just like from Alice In Wonderland."

Amon's eyes widened "Did you just say Alice?"

"Oh, hasn't anyone told you? Your last name sounds just like the name of the monster from that book. Jabberwock."

A book?

"Where do I find this book?"

"Oh, we have a copy in our library, you can loan it there."

"I see." Amon smiled a little to himself. Cinn' sneaked a peek at this, and they blushed faintly, feeling their mouth shape into waves.

"Now, where is my room?" Amon asked Blanc.

"Oh, it's room 25, on the third floor. Cinn', you know the way, could you show him?"

"Yes, of course." They put their hands together, and looked over to Amon with an affectionate smile. "Shall we go?"

Amon nodded, and they both left the room.

As they walked through the hall and towards the dorm, Amon couldn't help but notice Cinn' stealing glances at him more than normal. But he decided to just ignore it.

Arriving at the room, the sun was setting already. The yellow gradient dyed into the sky reminded Amon of a certain precious memory, but he forced himself to bury it.

"Ok, so this is where we have to say goodbye. I have to go visit Zero, but I'll come visit you sometime!"

Please don't.

"Goodbye." He went into the room, and slowly closed the door, stopping at a creak to look at Cinn' walking away, before closing it completely.

Finally, alone at last.

Amon let out a long sigh, resting his forehead against the door. Before looking behind him to look at the room. The room smelt terribly of herbs mixed with alcohol.

It was hard to tell where everything was, since the room was rather dark, but he could tell there were two beds. Looking out the window, the sun had set.

A yawn forced itself on him, and some tears got squished out.

I suppose I should rest.

Amon slowly walked to the bed closest to him, stumbling over a bag that he in return kicked away.

He laid in the bed, taking the pillow and hugging it as he slowly blinked, looking around the room.

He blinked again, and closed his eyes, and then when he opened his eyes again, he was sitting at his desk.

Looking around confused, he stood up, the chair jumping back.

"Lord Amon, is something the matter?" A horribly familiar voice said.

His heart stopped, the air was biting him.

Slowly turning around, he saw the face he dreaded the most. "Dalim…"

Dalim stood silently there, smiling as usual. His golden locks peeked out from under his hood.

Amon felt his legs move for him, walking towards Dalim, but the more he moved forward, the farther away Dalim was.

Tears welled up in his eyes, and he began running, faster, and faster. But no matter how hard he tried, he was never closer to him.

"Amon, you poor boy… something went into his stomach, and he looked down to see a knife stabbed into him. A hand was holding onto it, before pulling it out. Amon fell to his knees, clutching his stomach.

Looking up he saw Dalim stand there with the same smile as always. "I really am sorry to do this. I've always admired you." Dalim crouched, and kissed Amon on the forehead.

Rage enwrapped Amon's heart, and his head went for a head butt.

Instead, he woke up, sitting up in the bed with a gasp. Looking around confused at first, he then sighed relieved.

Oh, it was a dream…

Amon laid down again, however, as he turned his head– Someone else laid there, but it wasn't just anyone.

There laid a man with hair like gold. A clean, pale face. The moon shone out the window of the room, and the light landed on him, the light reflecting through his hair and onto his skin.

This… this couldn't be…

"Dalim?"
