EP 01 : Ji HYUN & RED

Season 1 - Episode 1

{ The Night of the Descent }

The sky burned red.

It started as a distant shimmer, mistaken for a meteor shower. But as the streaks of crimson light pierced through the clouds, the world knew something was wrong.

Seo Ji-Hyun stood frozen in the middle of an empty street, her breath hitching as she watched the unknown objects fall from the heavens like shooting stars. The air crackled, and a strange hum vibrated through her bones.

Then, the world screamed.

Explosions. Screeching metal. Buildings ruptured as the falling entities crashed into the city, embedding themselves into the ground like obsidian monoliths.

People ran. Some hid. Others were too slow.

Ji-Hyun took a step back, heart pounding against her ribs. She had seen disasters before—earthquakes, fires—but this was something else.

A force beyond human comprehension.

And then, from the largest impact crater, something moved.

A shape, shifting, writhing, alive.

A being that had no origin. No explanation. No reason to exist.

And yet, it had come.

The first parasite.

Ji-Hyun never had time to run.

The air rippled, and a crimson blur struck her chest with inhuman speed.

Pain.

A sharp, burning sensation burrowed into her skin, spreading through her veins like wildfire. Her vision darkened as her body collapsed onto the pavement.

She could feel it. Something was inside her.

Slithering. Merging.

Her heartbeat slowed. Her breath hitched.

Then, a voice—

Soft, haunting, ancient.

> "You will do."

Ji-Hyun gasped as her body convulsed violently.

Something was changing inside her.

---

When Ji-Hyun opened her eyes, the world had changed.

Or maybe… she had.

The pain was gone. The weakness had disappeared. She felt… alive. More than ever before.

Her hands trembled as she touched her face, her chest—her skin was unbroken, but she knew… she was no longer the same.

> "Awake at last?"

She froze.

The voice. It wasn't from outside. It was inside her.

> "You are my host now. Do not resist."

Ji-Hyun clutched her head, panic flooding her mind.

"Who—what—are you?" she gasped.

> "I am Red."

A chill ran down her spine.

"Are you… some kind of alien?"

> "Alien? No. My origin is unknown. Even to me."

Ji-Hyun swallowed hard.

"Then what do you want?"

Silence. Then—

> "Survival."

---

A sharp burning sensation ran through her arm.

Ji-Hyun gasped, watching in horror as her right arm twisted, bones shifting, skin rippling like liquid.

Then—it morphed.

Her fingers stretched into elongated claws, jet black with a crimson glow pulsing underneath. The tendons flexed unnaturally, power radiating from every inch of her transformed limb.

She stumbled back, her breath shaky.

"W-what the hell—?!"

> "Adaptation."

The voice—Red—spoke calmly, as if this grotesque transformation was normal.

Ji-Hyun's stomach churned.

She clenched her fist, and immediately, the air cracked.

The power was real.

She could feel it humming beneath her skin, surging with every breath.

It wasn't just strength. It was domination.

---

A sudden knock at the door.

Ji-Hyun's eyes snapped up, heart pounding.

Then—another. Louder. Heavier.

"Seo Ji-Hyun." A deep, commanding voice. "We know you're in there."

Her blood ran cold.

She had no idea who they were.

> "They are here for you."

Red's voice was calm, almost amused.

Ji-Hyun stepped back, her claws retracting as her arm returned to normal.

But inside, she knew—

She was no longer human.

And the world was about to learn it the hard way.

---

{ A Knock at the Door}

Bang. Bang. Bang.

The pounding on the door grew heavier.

"Seo Ji-Hyun," the voice called again. "We know you're in there. Open up."

Ji-Hyun's pulse raced.

> "They are here for you."

Red's voice echoed in her mind, calm and emotionless.

Ji-Hyun took a step back, her breath shaky. Her fingers twitched at her side, and she could feel it—the power still lingering beneath her skin. Whatever had invaded her body, whatever Red was, it had given her something… terrifying.

And now, someone was already after her.

> "You have two choices," Red murmured. "Comply, or fight."

Ji-Hyun clenched her jaw.

She needed time to think. To understand. But hesitation could be fatal.

Slowly, she reached for the doorknob.

The door creaked open just enough for her to see them.

Three men.

Dressed in dark suits, standing stiffly under the flickering hallway lights.

The one in front, the tallest, had sharp, predatory eyes. He studied her like a scientist observing a test subject.

Ji-Hyun's stomach churned.

They weren't ordinary agents.

She could feel it. Something was off about them.

The man in front gave her a polite smile.

"Seo Ji-Hyun." His voice was smooth, rehearsed. "We'd like to have a word with you."

Ji-Hyun gripped the door tighter.

"What is this about?" she asked, forcing her voice to stay calm.

The man's smile didn't waver.

"We believe you've been… exposed to something dangerous." His eyes flicked briefly to her right hand, as if he could see the power lurking beneath her skin.

Ji-Hyun's breath caught.

They knew.

> "They are not human."

Red's voice slithered through her mind like a whisper in the dark.

Ji-Hyun's blood turned cold.

> "They are like me."

Her heartbeat quickened.

Parasites.

[The Sudden Attack]

The man in front took a step forward.

"Come with us."

Ji-Hyun's grip on the door tightened.

"No."

For the first time, the man's smile vanished.

"Then I'm afraid you leave us no choice."

Before Ji-Hyun could react, he moved.

Not walked—lunged.

Faster than a bullet, his arm exploded into a grotesque tendril, sharp as a blade, aiming straight for her head.

Ji-Hyun's body reacted instantly.

Her right arm shifted—

CRACK!

A blackened claw burst from her flesh, intercepting the attack with impossible speed.

The impact shook the entire hallway.

Ji-Hyun's eyes widened.

She had moved on instinct.

The man's eyes flickered with amusement.

"So, it's true," he murmured. "You're not fully human anymore."

Ji-Hyun's breath was ragged. Her body felt light. Strong. Unstoppable.

This power—it was hers now.

And for the first time, she understood.

They hadn't come to capture her.

They had come to kill her.

---

[Hallway]

The other two men transformed instantly.

Their bodies twisted, skin peeling away as black, monstrous appendages burst from their limbs.

Their eyes—once human—were now soulless voids.

Ji-Hyun barely had time to react before they attacked.

SWOOSH!

One of them lunged, his arm shifting into a serrated whip, slicing toward her neck.

Ji-Hyun ducked, the air hissing as the blade missed her by inches.

> "Counterattack."

Red's voice was calm, as if this was all a mere experiment.

Ji-Hyun's instincts screamed.

She twisted, her blackened claws slashing upward.

SHRIIIP!

Her blade ripped through the attacker's chest, spraying black ichor onto the walls.

The man staggered back, but he didn't scream. He didn't even bleed properly.

Ji-Hyun's stomach lurched.

They weren't just infected. They were something worse.

The second man came from behind, his arm elongating into a spiked lance.

Ji-Hyun spun, her claws meeting his weapon midair. Sparks flew as they clashed, their inhuman strength shattering the hallway lights.

She gritted her teeth.

Damn it! They're fast!

But she was faster.

The leader—the man with the sharp eyes—watched in amusement as Ji-Hyun fought.

"She's adapting quickly," he murmured. "Better than expected."

Ji-Hyun dodged another attack, her body moving like a shadow, instincts sharper than she had ever known.

Her muscles didn't tire.

Her mind was clear.

She was winning.

A wicked grin spread across her lips.

For the first time since this nightmare began… she didn't feel afraid.

She felt alive.

> "Now you understand."

Red's voice was softer this time. Almost… pleased.

> "You are not the prey. You are the predator."

Ji-Hyun embraced it.

She lunged—

Her claws slashed through flesh—

Her enemies fell before her.

The fight was over in seconds.

The last man staggered back, his mutated limbs twitching, black ichor spilling onto the floor.

His once-arrogant eyes were now filled with horror.

"You…" he gasped. "You're stronger than we thought."

Ji-Hyun wiped her bloodstained claws on her hoodie, her expression unreadable.

"Too bad you didn't think enough."

And with that—

She finished him.

The bodies melted into nothing.

Only the faint scent of iron and the shattered hallway lights remained.

Ji-Hyun stood there, panting slightly, the glow of her crimson eyes reflecting in the broken glass.

> "That was only the beginning."

Red's voice was quiet now.

> "They will send more."

Ji-Hyun exhaled, steadying herself.

Then, she smirked.

"Let them come."

She wasn't running anymore.

She was hunting.

---

The hallway was silent.

The bodies of her attackers had dissolved into inky black fluid, evaporating like mist. No trace of them remained—no blood, no corpses, no evidence.

Ji-Hyun stared at her hands.

Her right arm slowly returned to normal, the monstrous blackened claws shrinking back into soft human skin.

If she hadn't just fought for her life, she might have thought it was all a hallucination.

But the destruction in the hallway—the flickering, shattered lights, the deep gashes in the walls—proved otherwise.

She exhaled sharply.

> "Your body is adapting."

Red's voice drifted through her mind, as detached as ever.

> "The more you fight, the more you evolve."

Ji-Hyun frowned.

"This isn't normal," she muttered. "I'm not normal anymore."

> "Correct."

The answer came without hesitation.

Ji-Hyun clenched her fists.

She didn't know what Red was. She didn't know what she was becoming.

But one thing was clear—she was in danger.

And if she didn't figure things out fast, she wouldn't survive whatever was coming next.

Ji-Hyun didn't go back inside her apartment.

She couldn't.

The attack had been too precise. They knew where she lived.

She needed to move.

> "There will be more of them."

Red's voice was unreadable.

> "You should not remain here."

Ji-Hyun swallowed hard.

Her apartment had been her safe place, her small bubble of normal life.

But now?

It was nothing more than a target.

Her phone buzzed.

She pulled it out with shaky fingers, expecting an emergency alert, a call from the police—something.

But there was only one message.

Unknown Number:

"We saw what you did. Come find us before they do."

Ji-Hyun's heart skipped.

> Who the hell is this?

She wasn't sure if it was a warning or a trap.

But at this point, staying in one place was worse.

She turned and walked away, leaving behind the ruins of her old life.

---

[ At night]

The streets of Seoul were alive with neon and noise.

Despite the late hour, the city never slept.

But Ji-Hyun felt disconnected from it all.

The crowd, the traffic, the distant laughter of drunken office workers—none of it felt real anymore.

She couldn't shake the feeling of being watched.

She kept her hood up, her pace steady.

> "You sense it, don't you?"

Red's voice was eerily calm.

> "They are tracking you."

Ji-Hyun's jaw tightened.

She had no idea how Red knew these things—how she could sense predators in the shadows.

But she didn't question it.

She turned a corner, slipping into a dark side street, trying to lose whoever was following her.

But the moment she stepped into the alley—

A hand grabbed her wrist.

Ji-Hyun spun, ready to attack.

Her claws nearly shot out—but stopped.

The person gripping her wrist wasn't an attacker.

It was a woman.

Tall, sharp-eyed, dressed in a black tactical jacket.

She looked human, but there was something different about her.

She studied Ji-Hyun carefully, then released her grip.

"You really did survive," she muttered. "Guess we're not too late."

Ji-Hyun tensed.

"Who the hell are you?"

The woman pulled out a cigarette, lighting it with steady hands.

"Park Hye-Rin," she said casually. "And I just saved your ass."

Ji-Hyun's eyes narrowed.

"Saved me from what?"

Hye-Rin exhaled a slow plume of smoke.

And then, Ji-Hyun felt it.

A presence.

Something inhuman.

Watching them.

Waiting.

Hye-Rin's lips curled into a smirk.

"You really don't know anything yet, do you?"

And before Ji-Hyun could answer—

The alleyway exploded into chaos.

The attackers moved fast.

Too fast for normal humans.

Shadows lunged from the darkness, bodies twisting, limbs warping into razor-sharp blades.

Ji-Hyun barely dodged, her instincts screaming.

> "More parasites."

Red's voice was cold.

> "Kill them before they kill you."

Ji-Hyun's claws burst forth, tearing through the nearest enemy.

But this time—

They didn't die so easily.

The parasite twisted midair, regenerating instantly.

Ji-Hyun's stomach dropped.

"They're different," she muttered. "Stronger."

Hye-Rin clicked her tongue.

"Welcome to the real war, kid."

She pulled a black combat knife from her belt, its blade shimmering with strange energy.

Before Ji-Hyun could ask what it was—

Hye-Rin moved.

And Ji-Hyun saw why she wasn't afraid.

In one fluid motion, Hye-Rin slashed through the parasite's head, her knife glowing faintly.

The monster **screamed—**then disintegrated.

Ji-Hyun's eyes widened.

> How—?

Hye-Rin didn't give her time to think.

"Don't just stand there," she snapped. "Fight!"

Ji-Hyun gritted her teeth.

Fine.

She launched herself forward, her body moving on pure instinct.

She was faster than before. Stronger.

She could see their movements—predict their attacks.

The parasite lunged.

She ducked.

She twisted.

And then—she struck.

Her claws sank deep into the parasite's skull—

And this time, it didn't regenerate.

It collapsed.

Ji-Hyun's breathing was ragged.

But she was winning.

For the first time, she was fighting not just to survive—

But to kill.

The last parasite fell.

Ji-Hyun stood in the aftermath, her body trembling.

Not from fear.

From power.

She looked at Hye-Rin.

"What the hell is going on?"

Hye-Rin exhaled, flicking away her cigarette.

"You've been thrown into a war, Ji-Hyun," she said.

"A war between us and them."

Ji-Hyun swallowed.

"Who's 'us'?"

Hye-Rin's eyes gleamed.

"The only ones left who can fight back."

Ji-Hyun's fists clenched.

Her old life was gone.

She wasn't human anymore.

And now—

She had to choose a side.

--

Ji-Hyun sat on the cold concrete floor of an abandoned rooftop.

Her breathing was ragged, her body covered in sweat and grime from the battle.

The city lights below glittered like a sea of stars, yet she felt more disconnected than ever.

She flexed her fingers.

Her right hand—the one that had transformed into claws sharper than steel—had returned to normal.

It looked human again.

But she knew better now.

She was not the same person she had been just a few hours ago.

She exhaled.

> "I'm not human anymore, am I?"

There was a pause.

Then Red's voice echoed in her mind.

> "You are something… more."

Ji-Hyun let out a bitter laugh.

"More? Or just another kind of monster?"

She could still hear the sounds of battle—still see the twisting, grotesque forms of the parasites that had attacked her.

They had been inhuman.

But so had she.

The way she moved. The way she killed.

It had felt… natural.

She clenched her fists.

Was this what she was now? A predator?

A being that devoured others to survive?

She wanted to deny it.

But deep down—she knew the truth.

She was no longer just Ji-Hyun.

She was something else.

A soft breeze rolled over the rooftop, but Ji-Hyun felt a chill.

She wasn't alone.

Her eyes snapped toward the edge of the roof—toward the shadow standing there.

Park Hye-Rin.

The woman who had saved her.

She leaned against the railing, smoking another cigarette, her dark eyes studying Ji-Hyun like she was a specimen in a lab.

"Still shaken up?" Hye-Rin asked, exhaling a slow stream of smoke.

Ji-Hyun glared.

"You knew this would happen."

Hye-Rin gave a small, humorless smile.

"Of course."

Ji-Hyun's fingers twitched.

She wanted to grab this woman by the collar, shake answers out of her.

"Then start explaining," she said coldly. "What the hell is going on?"

Hye-Rin sighed, flicking her cigarette off the roof.

"Long story short? You're part of a war now. One that's been going on for a long, long time."

Ji-Hyun's stomach twisted.

"A war between who?"

Hye-Rin turned to her fully, crossing her arms.

"Between us and them."

Ji-Hyun felt a pit in her stomach.

"Them?"

"The parasites."

The word sent a shiver down Ji-Hyun's spine.

She had seen them. Fought them.

They weren't human.

And neither was she anymore.

Ji-Hyun clenched her fists.

"I know what I saw," she said. "But I still don't understand what they are."

Hye-Rin's eyes darkened.

"They're predators."

Ji-Hyun swallowed.

"They… eat people?"

Hye-Rin gave her a look.

"You already know the answer to that, don't you?"

Ji-Hyun's stomach churned.

She had seen it—the way the parasites consumed their victims.

The way their bodies twisted into grotesque shapes, their faces melting into something inhuman.

"But where did they come from?" she asked.

Hye-Rin hesitated.

And then—Red spoke.

> "From above."

Ji-Hyun froze.

"What?"

> "They are not from this world," Red continued. "And neither am I."

A long silence fell between them.

Ji-Hyun's heart pounded.

She had assumed Red was just… something inside her.

A mutation. A virus. A biological weapon.

But this?

"You're saying you're an alien?" she whispered.

> "The term 'alien' is irrelevant. I am simply… beyond this world."

Ji-Hyun shuddered.

This wasn't just a mutation.

It wasn't an accident.

It was something far bigger.

Hye-Rin's expression was unreadable.

"So," she said slowly, "you finally understand what's inside you."

Ji-Hyun's fingers dug into her palms.

No.

She didn't understand.

Not yet.

But one thing was clear—

She was no longer just a victim of this war.

She was a player.

A sudden thunderous impact shattered the rooftop.

The air trembled.

A shockwave ripped through the building, sending Ji-Hyun staggering back.

And then—a figure landed in front of them.

Tall. Unnaturally tall.

A man?

No.

His skin rippled like liquid. His eyes glowed a sickening yellow.

And his mouth—it split open into jagged fangs.

Ji-Hyun felt something deep inside her scream in recognition.

> "A stronger one."

Red's voice was sharper this time.

> "Be careful."

Hye-Rin reacted instantly.

She reached for her blade—but the creature was faster.

It lunged.

Ji-Hyun barely had time to react—before it was already in front of her.

Claws sliced toward her throat.

Her body moved on its own.

She twisted, her right arm exploding into blackened steel.

She blocked the strike—barely.

But the force of the attack sent her flying.

She slammed against the rooftop wall, the wind knocked from her lungs.

Pain shot through her body.

But she didn't have time to recover.

The creature was already moving again.

Ji-Hyun's pulse pounded.

This one was different.

It wasn't just a parasite.

It was a hunter.

A predator made to kill its own kind.

And now—

It was coming for her.

The hunter rushed forward, its speed blinding.

Ji-Hyun's body burned—Red's power surging inside her.

And then—

Her body shifted.

Her left arm warped.

Her right eye gleamed crimson.

And her instincts screamed—

> "Kill or be killed."

The hunter struck.

And Ji-Hyun—

Struck back.

----

Ji-Hyun's heartbeat thundered in her ears.

The parasite hunter was lightning-fast—its grotesque body twisting, shifting with inhuman precision.

Its clawed hand slashed toward her face.

But this time—Ji-Hyun was ready.

Her body moved on instinct, Red's power exploding inside her.

She ducked, her right arm shifting into a blade-like appendage.

The moment she slashed forward, a shockwave tore through the air.

CLANG!

Her blade met the creature's claw—a clash of monstrous strength.

Sparks erupted between them.

The force sent cracks through the concrete beneath them.

Ji-Hyun gritted her teeth.

> "It's strong."

Too strong.

The parasite hunter grinned, its jagged teeth glistening in the dim city lights.

Then—it lunged again.

Ji-Hyun barely dodged before a second clawed limb shot from the parasite's shoulder.

Too late.

It slammed into her ribs.

CRACK!

She flew backward, crashing into a metal railing.

Pain exploded through her body.

She gasped, her vision blurring.

But before she could even catch her breath—

The hunter was already above her.

Its massive claw descended—aiming straight for her heart.

"Tch—!"

Her body reacted on its own.

A barrier of crimson tendrils burst from her wounds—Red's instinctive defense.

The parasite's claw struck the barrier—

BOOM!

The entire rooftop trembled.

Smoke and debris clouded the air.

And from within—Ji-Hyun's eyes burned red.

> "I won't die here."

The words resonated within her.

Her breathing steadied.

The pain in her ribs—vanished.

The fatigue in her limbs—faded.

Something within her shifted—

And Red's power surged.

Her right arm morphed again—this time into a sleek, elongated blade that pulsed with an otherworldly glow.

Her left hand sharpened into deadly black talons.

And her legs—they coiled like a spring, ready to launch.

The parasite hunter's yellow eyes widened.

For the first time—it looked shaken.

Ji-Hyun smirked.

> "Now, it's my turn."

She moved.

Faster than ever before.

A red blur streaked through the night.

Before the parasite could react—she was already behind it.

Its instincts screamed.

It turned—too slow.

SHHHLK!

Ji-Hyun's blade-arm sliced clean through its shoulder.

A guttural screech erupted from its twisted mouth.

Black ichor sprayed into the air.

Ji-Hyun didn't stop.

She twisted, her talon-like left hand raking across its torso.

The creature stumbled back, its body writhing, trying to regenerate.

But this time—

She didn't let it.

Ji-Hyun dashed forward, her blade-arm piercing straight through its chest.

The parasite's eyes bulged.

It gasped.

It trembled.

And then—

It collapsed.

A final, shuddering breath left its deformed mouth.

Ji-Hyun stood over its lifeless corpse.

Her crimson gaze reflected the dying city lights.

The battle was over.

She had won.

But as she stared at her bloodied hands—

She knew.

> This was just the beginning.

A slow clap echoed through the air.

Ji-Hyun turned sharply.

Hye-Rin stood a few feet away, her face unreadable.

"You adapted faster than I expected," she said, lighting another cigarette.

Ji-Hyun exhaled, her body still tingling from the aftershocks of battle.

She looked at the corpse of the parasite.

Then—back at her own hands.

This power.

This strength.

She wasn't just a human anymore.

But she wasn't fully a parasite either.

So what was she?

Before she could ask, Hye-Rin spoke.

"Welcome to the other side, Ji-Hyun."

Ji-Hyun clenched her fists.

The wind howled through the night.

And somewhere in the distance—

Another parasite screamed.

---

Ji-Hyun stood motionless, her breath heavy, her chest rising and falling in rapid succession. The parasite's lifeless body lay sprawled at her feet, black ichor pooling around it, steaming against the cold air.

Her right arm, still elongated into a sleek, blade-like weapon, glowed faintly under the flickering neon lights. The air smelled of blood and something else—something unnatural.

She clenched her fists.

This power.

This terrifying strength.

Her body still tingled from the overwhelming surge of energy, from the fight, from the kill.

> This wasn't supposed to be me…

The thought crept into her mind before she could push it away.

She looked at her reflection in a broken glass panel nearby—her once-human eyes now gleamed with an unearthly crimson glow.

She wasn't just Ji-Hyun anymore.

She was something else.

And that scared her.

Behind her, Hye-Rin let out a long breath and dropped her cigarette to the ground, crushing it beneath her heel.

"You did well," she said, her tone calm.

Ji-Hyun turned to face her, her expression dark. "You knew this would happen, didn't you?"

Hye-Rin smirked. "I had my suspicions."

"You—" Ji-Hyun took a step forward, frustration boiling inside her. "What the hell did I just fight? And what the hell did you turn me into?"

Hye-Rin's eyes flickered with something unreadable. She pulled her coat tighter around her and turned toward the cityscape, her voice quieter this time.

"You're not the only one, Ji-Hyun."

Silence.

Ji-Hyun felt a chill crawl up her spine.

Not the only one?

"There are others like you," Hye-Rin continued. "Parasites that have taken over human hosts. Some… completely consume their hosts, replacing them, becoming something unrecognizable." She looked at Ji-Hyun with a calculating gaze. "But you're different. Red didn't take over. She fused with you. And that makes you dangerous."

Ji-Hyun frowned. "Dangerous?"

"For them," Hye-Rin said. "And for us."

The weight of those words pressed on Ji-Hyun's chest.

She wasn't human anymore.

And neither was she a full parasite.

She was something new.

Hye-Rin turned on her heel. "Let's go."

Ji-Hyun narrowed her eyes. "Go where?"

"You don't have time to stand here feeling sorry for yourself," Hye-Rin said flatly. "If you're thinking that killing one parasite makes you safe, you're dead wrong. The others—" She gestured toward the darkness. "They'll come looking for you."

Ji-Hyun exhaled sharply.

> Of course they will.

She had just killed one of them.

And something told her the others wouldn't be happy about it.

Ji-Hyun looked back at the parasite's body.

Its black ichor was slowly evaporating, leaving behind only a shadow of its existence.

It was as if the world itself was erasing any trace of its kind.

She felt Red's presence stir within her, a quiet hum of power flowing beneath her skin.

There was no going back.

Her normal life?

Gone.

And whatever lay ahead—

It was far from over.

Ji-Hyun took a deep breath and clenched her fists.

"Fine," she said, voice firm. "What's next?"

Hye-Rin's smirk widened.

"The real hunt begins now."

Far across the city, in the shadows of a desolate alley, something moved.

A tall figure, humanoid but unnatural, stood beneath a flickering streetlamp.

Its eyes glowed, a deep, unsettling amber hue.

It sniffed the air.

The scent of parasite blood.

And something else.

Something… new.

A sharp-toothed grin spread across its grotesque face.

It had found her.

And soon—

It would come for her.
