The infirmary room had quieted after Noah's awakening. The light of the morning sun filtered softly through the windows, casting a warm, golden hue over the room. His parents stood by his side, their expressions a mix of relief and concern. The girls were gathered around him, some on his left, others on his right—each of them hesitant yet eager to speak with him, to make sure he was truly back.
Noah's gaze shifted from one person to the next. His parents, Richard and Julia, stood close, watching him with love and an undeniable sense of protectiveness. The girls, Scarlett, Layla, Lyra, and Olivia, each had their own unique expressions. Scarlett's face was still red from the tears she had shed, but her eyes sparkled with an unmistakable warmth. Layla, with her usual playful expression, seemed both relieved and mischievous. Lyra, calm as always, was quietly observing, but even she couldn't hide the soft smile on her lips. Olivia stood a little farther back, eyes filled with an intensity that spoke of her own guilt and relief.
Noah cleared his throat, his voice still hoarse from his long, deep slumber. "I guess I owe all of you an explanation," he began, meeting the gazes of the girls and his parents one by one.
Scarlett was the first to speak, her voice trembling slightly. "You're really back... you had us all so worried, Noah."
He smiled gently, though there was a faint sadness in his eyes. "I know... I'm sorry for making all of you worry."
Layla leaned in, teasingly grinning. "Worried? You just about gave us a heart attack, Noah! You're lucky we were all here... or I would've put a curse on you for making us suffer so much."
Noah chuckled, shaking his head. "I'm glad you all stayed by my side... It means more than I can express."
Olivia stepped forward, her voice softer than the others. "You've always been strong, Noah. But... you pushed yourself too far. Don't ever do something like that again." There was a slight tremor in her tone, as if she had to convince herself of it.
Noah nodded, guilt momentarily flashing in his eyes. "I don't plan on it. I learned my lesson the hard way." He then looked at his parents, his heart swelling with gratitude. "And thank you both. You didn't have to come all the way here, and yet... you stayed. You've always been there for me, even when things seemed impossible."
Richard and Julia exchanged a look, silently communicating their shared pride in their son. Richard's voice was steady, yet thick with emotion. "You're our son, Noah. There's nothing we wouldn't do for you."
Julia reached out, placing a hand on Noah's shoulder. "You made us proud, Noah. Even though you've been through so much... we know you're stronger for it." Her gaze softened, and she gave him a teasing smile. "But," she said, raising an eyebrow, "I can't help but wonder—when did our sweet boy become a player?"
Noah's face turned red. "What...?"
Julia motioned to the girls surrounding him, then winked playfully. "Look at this beautiful crowd of girls all gathered around you. Are you going to tell me you're not enjoying all this attention?"
The girls flushed, each one looking away or blushing, clearly embarrassed by the teasing. Scarlett was the first to speak up, her voice unsteady but filled with affection. "We're... not doing this for attention, Mom. We care about him."
"Yeah!" Layla added, her usual playful demeanor returning. "We're just happy he's awake, that's all."
Julia chuckled at their reactions but then shifted her gaze back to Noah, her teasing smile replaced by a more serious one. "But seriously, Noah... you've got to stop doing reckless things. Your soul—your very life was at risk. It's not something to joke about." Her voice was stern now, the concern for her son clear in her words. "You could have lost everything."
Noah looked down, guilt weighing heavily on him. "I know, Mom. I was just trying to protect everyone... I thought that's what I had to do."
Julia sighed, brushing her hand gently through his hair. "I understand, my dear. But you must understand your own worth, too. Your life isn't something to risk recklessly." She smiled softly. "And you don't have to do it alone."
Noah's expression softened at her words, a warmth filling him. He glanced at each of the girls around him, the familiar comfort of their presence surrounding him. "I'm not alone," he whispered, more to himself than anyone else.
After a brief moment, Julia stood up and, with a playful glint in her eye, said, "Alright, I think it's time for all of you to let him rest now. He's been through enough." She patted Noah's shoulder affectionately. "You've got a lot of people to look after now, young man."
The girls nodded, one by one, each offering their own final words of encouragement. Scarlett kissed his forehead softly, whispering, "I'm so happy you're back." Layla ruffled his hair playfully, Lyra gave him a small, sincere smile, and Olivia gave him a nod of respect and affection.
As they exited the room, leaving Noah to rest, he sat back against the pillow, feeling a strange sense of peace.
Suddenly, his system pinged.

"Hey... if you're reading this, then I guess. "
" I'm truly gone. Weird, huh? "
" You'd think I'd be scared. But I'm not. For the first time, I feel free."
"You took this broken shell I once called a life... and turned it into something beautiful. You stood when I always ran. You fought when I cowered. You protected when all I ever did was wish to be protected."
" I've seen it all-your struggle, your pain, your growth. I was always watching from the shadows of this heart. And now... I'm giving it all to you. Everything I ever sealed away. All the love I never dared to show. All the dreams I never had the courage to chase."
"You're no longer just someone who shares my name. You are me... and more."
"Live boldly, laugh without guilt, cry without shame. And if you can... forgive.. Charlotte. She didn't hurt me because she hated me. She did it because she never truly saw me. But you-everyone sees you now."
" Take care of our family. Keep them safe. And don't let this cruel world kill the light in you."
"Goodbye, Noah. I was never strong enough to protect anyone. But I believe you will be."
"So go... become the kind of legend even fate will kneel before."
"From now on, do not live in regret. Do not let guilt chain you down. You have a new life, a new path. Protect your parents, protect your loved ones—don't let anything hold you back."
"Above all, live for yourself now. You deserve to."
Noah's eyes welled with tears as he read those final words. He let the message sink in, the weight of it lifting something heavy inside him.
"I will," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "Thank you."
He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath, feeling the presence of both versions of himself within. He was no longer shackled by the past, no longer burdened by the mistakes of the original Noah. From this moment forward, he would live as himself. No longer torn between guilt and duty, but whole, with the strength to face whatever came next.
To be continued...
