Second Uncle Also Sends Gifts to Xingbao

Ji Chuxing finished the agreed-upon live stream and conducted several more experiments before finally leaving the laboratory building. By the time she returned home, dusk had settled in, and as expected, her house was once again overrun with packages.

This time, not only her older brothers from the Yu family had sent parcels, but also her uncles, cousins, and even her grandfather—all contributing to a mountain of deliveries. Knowing her sweet tooth well, most of the items were snacks and treats. The sheer quantity made Ji Chuxing wonder if she could possibly eat them all within a year.

Each package came with small cards:

"Xingbao, this is Grandpa. I bought you the best jelly in the city—one box for every flavor. Let's savor them slowly!"

"Xingbao, this is Dad. I bought you an entire supermarket stocked with jellies, milk tablets, and yogurt. Come back soon to enjoy it!"

"Xingbao! I'm your real dad. I bought you a candy factory! Whatever flavor you like, we'll produce it for you!"

"Sis, this is your big brother. All the European snacks are yours!"

"Sis, I'm your second brother..."

"Sis, I'm your fifth brother..."

As Ji Chuxing sifted through the pile of pink, cutesy cards, her expression turned into one of disbelief: "..."

It was heartwarming, no doubt about that. But it also left her feeling overwhelmed—like being smothered by affection!

Wasn't this a bit too much?

Bo Yanchen watched the girl's conflicted expression and chuckled. "Our Xingbao has so many people who adore her. It makes me envious."

Ji Chuxing shot him a sharp glance. "I'll take care of *you*!"

Bo Yanchen blinked in surprise, then heard her grit her teeth. "These, these, and those! They're all yours. You finish them!"

Second Master Bo stared at the two large boxes of beef jerky, his face unreadable.

Fang He, standing nearby, struggled to suppress his laughter.

Ji Chuxing scratched her head—not out of impatience, but rather helplessness. Even the little tuft of hair on top of her head drooped down.

Still, she carefully collected each card and picked out some snacks from every box, tossing them into her black backpack. *Well,* she thought, *I can bring them to class and share with everyone.*

Bo Yanchen found the scene amusing but wheeled himself over nonetheless. "Brother has a gift for Xingbao too."

Ji Chuxing tilted her head, looking at him skeptically.

He gave her gifts every day—even something as trivial as taking a jelly from the fridge and calling it a reward for coming home on time.

Bo Yanchen knew exactly what the girl was thinking and couldn't help but find it hilarious. Still, he needed to give something impressive—something that would outshine the Yu family's extravagant presents.

Then Ji Chuxing saw Bo Yanchen pull out a small box. "For Xingbao. I'm sure you'll love it."

His choice of gift exuded confidence. Every cell in Second Master Bo seemed to scream self-assurance.

Ji Chuxing let out a sound of surprise, took the box, and opened it with a soft click. Her eyes lit up instantly.

The drooping tuft of hair perked up, swaying back and forth.

"Shennong Needles!"

The Shennong Needles were legendary silver needles used in traditional Chinese medicine, forged from ancient materials passed down through generations. These needles themselves possessed healing properties, and when combined with exceptional acupuncture skills, they could achieve near-miraculous results—even reviving the critically injured or regenerating damaged flesh. Their effects were almost mythical.

Rumors persisted in the medical community that the Shennong Needles still existed, yet no one had ever seen them. However, in her previous life, Ji Chuxing had used them. An old professor had brought them to her after a trip, though she never knew where they came from.

But now, here they were again!

Seeing her long-lost companion, Ji Chuxing felt a strange mix of nostalgia and awe. She didn't say anything, but Bo Yanchen could see from the way she gently caressed the needles that she cherished the gift. This silent appreciation moved him more than any words could have.

"With these, Xingbao can treat even more patients. Do you like them?"

Bo Yanchen couldn't resist asking.

Ji Chuxing looked at him with sparkling eyes and nodded. "I like them."

Second Master Bo felt utterly satisfied. The girl's delighted expression was so endearing that he wanted to pinch her cheeks. He cleared his throat lightly. "Since Xingbao likes the gift so much, how do you plan to thank Brother?"

Ji Chuxing looked at him, tilted her head, and rummaged through her messy backpack, pulling out a light green, transparent bottle.

"For you," she said simply.

"What's this?" Bo Yanchen asked, raising an eyebrow.

Ji Chuxing's expression was serious. "Your health isn't great. You need to strengthen yourself."

Every time he underwent acupuncture, he was drenched in sweat and often woke up in pain at night. She knew all about it.

Fang He: "Pfft—"

Bo Yanchen shot Fang He a glare.

Fang He quickly looked away. "Uh… who was talking? Who was laughing? Hahaha—it must've been ghosts. Second Master, I'll go tidy up the storeroom."

He hurried off.

Bo Yanchen looked at the girl with a half-smile. "My health isn't great?"

Ji Chuxing's gaze was unwavering. Clearly, it wasn't! And he didn't want to admit it?

She frowned slightly. "You shouldn't hide your illness and avoid treatment."

"Hmm!" Second Master Bo chuckled ambiguously.

Fine. The girl was still a minor. He wouldn't discuss this issue with her just yet.

Ji Chuxing looked at him, puzzled, but her attention was quickly drawn back to the Shennong Needles.

With the needles in hand, Ji Chuxing eagerly put them to use, starting with Second Master Bo.

Bo Yanchen had to undergo acupuncture every night. Though reluctant, he drank the green potion from the bottle. Miraculously, the deep, bone-piercing pain he usually felt during the first two sessions was gone. Instead, as the needle pierced his knee, it felt like a warm, refreshing spring flowing through the areas affected by the poison, bringing a soothing coolness.

*Hmph! My personally prepared medicine is the best!*

Ji Chuxing was completely focused while performing the acupuncture, as she always was when treating patients. The world around her seemed to fade away, and she only cared about her patient.

So, Bo Yanchen, sitting in his wheelchair, clearly saw the cute little swirl of hair on top of the girl's head. The tuft of hair that refused to be tamed was swaying with her movements.

Impulsively, Bo Yanchen reached out and gently rubbed her head.

Ji Chuxing, still focused, looked up expressionlessly.

Bo Yanchen, unfazed, said, "Xingbao must be tired. Let Brother give you a massage."

Ji Chuxing lowered her head and continued the acupuncture. She observed Bo Yanchen's reaction, and finding nothing amiss, quickly put away the Shennong Needles. "Hmm, they work well!"

Bo Yanchen laughed, watching as the girl tidied up and then leaned her head over.

"Massage."

Bo Yanchen: "..."

So, for the next while, Ji Chuxing, under Second Master Bo's "massage," was as comfortable as a cat being petted, purring contentedly.

Bo Yanchen was both amused and touched. The girl really knew how to enjoy herself, lying on his knees, almost falling asleep with her eyes half-closed. But... he couldn't bear to disturb her.

---

The next day, Ji Chuxing returned to school. But as soon as she arrived, she sensed something was off.

A crowd had gathered at the base of the teaching building. When they saw Ji Chuxing, a boy rushed forward.

"It's you! You tampered with the lab equipment, no, you deliberately sabotaged the experiment, causing an accident. Do you know that Xin Yue almost got hurt because of you? She's your sister, how could you be so cruel!"

The boy launched into a tirade.

Ji Chuxing didn't recognize him at first and gave him a strange look. But Lu Hang, who had just come down from the building, shouted, "What nonsense! Lu Yang, if you dare slander Ji Shen, I'll beat you up!"

"Ji Shen, don't listen to his crap. Go back to class and sleep. I'll handle this!"

Sleep was the most important thing for Ji Shen!

Ji Chuxing remembered: Lu Yang, the class representative of Qihang Class. She patted Lu Hang's shoulder and looked at Lu Yang.

"Do you have something to say?" the girl asked calmly.

"How dare you ask me if I have something to say?" Lu Yang was fuming. Just as he was about to continue, Wen Xin Yue emerged from the crowd, "Lu Yang, don't say such things. It's not Sister's fault."

"Xin Yue, you're too kind. Why are you still protecting her?"

"Ji Chuxing was jealous of you working with Teacher Wu on the experiment. She used the opportunity to clean the lab to sabotage your experiment. If I hadn't gone to the lab with you today and stopped you, your hand would have been injured by a small explosion. This could have ruined your future, and the surveillance shows that Ji Chuxing was the last person to leave the lab last night!"

"It was her!"

Lu Yang pointed angrily at Ji Chuxing.

"She maliciously sabotaged the experiment and almost got you hurt!"

Wen Xin Yue stood in front of the crowd, looking at her with a pitiful expression, as if silently asking, *Why are you doing this to me? What have I done to deserve this?*

Lu Yang was highly agitated.

"Chemical experiments are dangerous. If I hadn't noticed in time and pulled Xin Yue away, her hand would have been burned by the chemicals. Ji Chuxing, what were you thinking? She's your sister!"

Ji Chuxing snorted, "My father has only one daughter. Where did I get a sister?"

"You!"

Wen Xin Yue glared at her, tears in her eyes.

"Don't claim false kinship. Do we have any blood relation? You're quite strange." Ji Chuxing looked at Lu Yang oddly, "So worked up, do you have any evidence?"

Lu Yang laughed in anger, "Evidence? Still denying it? I'll show you what evidence is!"

"This is a video from the school's surveillance. Xin Yue left the lab at 5:30 PM, but you didn't leave until 7:30 PM. You were the last one to leave the lab."

He must have retrieved the surveillance footage from the lab, which led him to conclude it was Ji Chuxing.

"So?"

"What do you mean 'so'? Isn't it obvious?"

Lu Yang was shocked that Ji Chuxing remained so defiant even in the face of the video evidence.

"How can someone be so vicious? Everyone at Nan High knows that Xin Yue was working with Teacher Wu on the experiment. She set up the chemicals yesterday and was waiting to check the results this morning. But you, out of jealousy, tampered with her experiment after she left, causing it to fail and almost injuring her."

"Not only that, you also stole the chemicals and materials!"

Ji Chuxing looked at Lu Yang oddly, "You have quite an imagination."

"Even now, you still won't admit it?"

Finally, Wen Xin Yue couldn't hold back and spoke, her eyes red and teary, "Sister, why did you do this? If you wanted to work with Teacher Wu on a chemical experiment, I would have helped you talk to him. How could you destroy my experiment? Today, I came early. If Teacher Wu had come first, unaware, who knows what serious consequences might have happened."
