Wang Feng nodded slowly, feeling that the support from Shrek Academy would be extremely valuable for his progress. However, he knew that to achieve his goal, he had to work even harder and never let his guard down.
"Thank you, Teacher Mu En. I will train diligently," said Wang Feng, his determination burning even brighter.
Mu En smiled. "I believe in your abilities, Wang Feng. If you continue to move forward with this kind of spirit, there will be no limits to what you can achieve."
Xuan Zi also nodded in agreement. "That's right. But don't forget, there are many dangers out there. We'll support you, but you must be ready to face even greater challenges."
Wang Feng asked about his two friends who were staying in the same room with him.
"They're both doing well. They're living their lives as usual." Mu En smiled knowingly. His gaze at Wang Feng felt a bit strange. The disguises of the two girls couldn't fool the eyes of an Ultimate Douluo. Mu En was curious about how Wang Feng would react once he discovered the true identities of his two friends.
Wang Feng suddenly felt uneasy and turned to look at his teacher. But when he saw him, there was nothing unusual about his expression. He was just smiling faintly as usual.
Wang Feng shrugged, trying to ignore the strange feeling that had suddenly crept up.
"Teacher, is there something you want to say?" Wang Feng asked cautiously, though he felt a little hesitant to probe further.
Mu En kept smiling. "It's nothing important. It's just that you seem very different after receiving that spirit ring. Your strength has grown so quickly. I fear there will be people who'll want to target you."
Xuan Zi nodded while glancing at Wang Feng. "That's true, Wang Feng. Not many people can absorb a spirit ring with your configuration. In fact, you could say no one can. So you must be more careful in your actions and avoid recklessly revealing your spirit ring."
Wang Feng felt a heavier atmosphere settling around them, even though their words weren't too alarming. He knew that in the world of spirit masters, every step toward greater power always brought risks and new, unpredictable challenges.
"Thank you for the advice, Teacher. I'll be more cautious." Wang Feng said while bowing his head, although in his heart, he still felt like something wasn't quite clear.
Wang Feng asked Di Tian, who had been silent, "Uncle, I'd like to know when I'm allowed to return to the Academy?"
Di Tian, who had remained quiet until now, finally turned his gaze toward Wang Feng. His usually blank expression showed a hint of thoughtfulness.
"Since your conversation with Her Majesty seems to be finished, you may return whenever you wish."
"Alright." Wang Feng nodded happily.
After that, the three of them chatted for a while until Di Tian, who had been mostly silent, decided to leave. He also dragged the Three-Eyed Golden Lion with him.
Wang Feng brought Mu En and Xuan Zi to the hut where he lived.
Once they arrived at the hut, Wang Feng opened the door and invited Mu En and Xuan Zi to enter first.
Mu En looked around carefully but didn't make any comments. Xuan Zi simply nodded, seeming more focused on the surroundings.
Xuan Zi said, "This place is quite nice. The wood used to build it is actually quite rare in Shrek Academy. Though it's odd for a house to be located in the core area of the Great Star Dou Forest."
Wang Feng tidied up the chairs and table for Teacher Mu En and Elder Xuan to sit. "Di Tian said that this house was built by a soul beast that wanted to study human lifestyle, which is why it exists."
"Please have a seat, Teacher, Elder. I'll prepare some drinks for you." Wang Feng let Mu En and Xuan Zi sit on the chairs he had arranged.
Mu En and Xuan Zi sat calmly while Wang Feng began preparing drinks for the two of them.
After a while, the drinks were ready. Wang Feng brought them over.
"Here's your tea, Teacher, Elder."
Mu En received the cup with both hands and inhaled the tea's aroma. The fragrant scent immediately brought a sense of calm to him. He took the first sip, savoring the taste and smoothness of the tea. "Hmm, this tea is really good. Thank you, Wang Feng," said Mu En with a smile.
Xuan Zi also accepted the tea calmly and took a sip immediately. "The taste suits this place well. Not bad," she said in a composed tone, though her expression barely changed.
Wang Feng sat across from them, feeling a bit awkward from the attention his tea was getting. "I'm glad you like it."
They sipped the tea quietly, not saying much after that.
After finishing their tea, they returned to the main reason they had come.
"Wang Feng, how much longer will you be staying here?" Mu En asked him.
"Probably just until tomorrow, Teacher. After all, I've finished what I came here for, and there's nothing else I need to do."
Mu En nodded slightly. "Very well. In that case, we'll stay here for the night so we can escort you back tomorrow."
Night slowly fell over the Great Star Dou Forest. The last orange rays of the sun were gradually replaced by the blue of night, and stars began to appear one by one in the sky. The area around the cabin grew quiet, with only occasional soft sounds from soul beasts keeping their distance from Wang Feng's home.
Inside the cabin, Mu En and Xuan Zi had each chosen a corner to rest. After making sure they were comfortable, Wang Feng stepped outside to get some fresh air.
The night breeze gently swept through his hair. In the distance, the starlight reflected on a small lake not far from the cabin. Wang Feng stood still for a while, letting the silence wash over him.
Suddenly, a woman's voice spoke from behind him, "You're not sleeping, human?"
Wang Feng turned around and saw that it was the Three-Eyed Golden Lion.
He was slightly surprised. "Not yet. I just wanted to enjoy the night for a bit. Besides, I'll be leaving the forest tomorrow."
The Three-Eyed Golden Lion walked slowly over and stood beside him, gazing up at the same sky.
"So you're leaving tomorrow. Hmph." Her voice was low but clear, with a tone that almost sounded… disappointed.
During the three days Di Tian had been searching for the Voidroot Serpent, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion had visited Wang Feng every day and often chatted with him. Especially when Wang Feng talked about the human world—she seemed oddly fascinated.
Wang Feng also enjoyed talking with her, since there weren't many others to talk to in the forest. As a result, they had become friends.
Wang Feng turned and smiled faintly. "Yeah. It's time for me to go back to the academy. I still have a lot to do there."
The lion nodded slightly. "Humans are always busy. Your world never seems to rest."
"I'll miss nights like this," Wang Feng said, glancing at the beast. "You know… you're the only one I could talk to here. I didn't expect to make a friend in the middle of the forest."
The soul beast snorted softly. "Don't get dramatic, human. I was just bored. The other soul beasts around here are too stiff and bound by Di Tian's rules."
Wang Feng chuckled at her response. "But you still came to see me every day."
She turned her face away, but Wang Feng noticed her tail twitching unpredictably. "Only because your stories about the human world were interesting."
They stood in comfortable silence for a while, enjoying the peaceful night. A soft breeze carried the scent of wildflowers growing around the lake.
"Human," the lion suddenly said again, her voice more serious. "Will you ever come back here someday?"
Wang Feng raised an eyebrow, surprised by the question. "Maybe. If Di Tian allows it."
"In that case…" The beast scraped at the ground with her claw, seeming hesitant. "Bring me something from the human world next time. I want to know what human food tastes like."
Wang Feng grinned widely. "Of course. I promise I'll bring you something really delicious."
