The Devil's Face

"To find out about the Bloodz headquarters, there's only one place—my parents' old house. There are papers there that will help us. Get ready, we're going there."

Cobra responded, "Don't worry, we're with you."

We got into several cars and drove to my parents' old house. As I looked at it from a distance, I still couldn't comprehend everything that had happened after all these years. I would uncover the truth, take my revenge, and finally understand why I had to endure all this suffering.

We entered the house together, leaving Louie, Marcus, and Williams outside, armed to guard against any potential threats. We searched everywhere for any documents that could lead us to the Bloodz, but to no avail—all the papers were either shredded, soaked, or missing. It was as if someone had been here before us.

Cobra turned to me and said, "I think I can tell you where they are, but I'm not entirely sure. I used to be a Bloodz member."

I asked him urgently, "Where?"

Before Cobra could answer, gunfire erupted outside. Louie burst into the house, his face filled with panic.

"The Bloodz are attacking us, Mafia! We need to fight back—now!"

We drew our weapons, shattered the window glass, and opened fire. Marcus and Williams had already rushed inside, taking cover. We shot at them repeatedly, but they outnumbered us.

We needed a decoy—someone to distract them while setting off an explosive. Leo and Stefano volunteered. They walked outside, raising their hands in surrender, pretending to give up.

"We surrender! We surrender!" they called out.

As soon as they got close enough to the enemy, Leo shouted, "Now!"

He threw the explosives towards them, and in the chaos, Stefano snatched a gun from one of the enemies, though he took a wound to his arm. The two of them started shooting everywhere. We charged outside, firing and throwing explosives. At one point, a grenade flew straight toward me, but Michael shot it away just in time, detonating it mid-air.

The Bloodz couldn't hold their ground and started fleeing. I shouted, "Don't let them escape! Get in your cars—chase them!"

We split up, each car going after a different enemy vehicle. I was with Leo, driving fast behind one of the Bloodz cars.

"Take this grenade, pull the pin, and throw it at them—quick!" I ordered.

Leo did as I said, but the grenade bounced back toward us. It exploded near our car, forcing us to jump out through the windows. We landed on the ground, badly injured. Despite the pain, Leo got up and ran after them, shooting at their tires until their car crashed, killing them inside.

Disappointed, I muttered, "We failed to capture them, Leo. Hopefully, the others did better."

Meanwhile, Phantom, Angelo, and Williams were in another car, chasing a Bloodz vehicle. Suddenly, police cars appeared behind them, opening fire.

Angelo tried to hit the brakes, but they weren't working. Panic set in. Cobra yelled, "Jump!"

They leaped from the car just before it plunged into the river. Though injured, they quickly got to their feet as the police vehicles closed in.

Three police cars surrounded them. Phantom aimed carefully, shooting the driver of one, causing it to crash and kill everyone inside. Angelo threw his last explosive at another police car, making it flip over their heads before it exploded.

Cobra ran out of bullets. With no other option, he jumped onto the last police car, repeatedly slamming his fists against the windshield until it shattered. He then reached inside and strangled the driver. The car lost control and was about to crash into the river, but Cobra jumped off just in time.

Meanwhile, the rest of our team managed to capture a Bloodz member alive and brought him back to the Mafia base.

Back at headquarters, after the brutal battle, I looked at the captured Bloodz member and sighed.

"We survived, but we still don't have the answers we need. This hostage is useless."

Phantom smirked. "You should be thanking me, Ryo, Michael, and Marcus. We planted tracking devices on many Bloodz members."

I was surprised. "That's brilliant! I didn't even think of that."

He grinned. "The Mafia aren't amateurs. We'll get you what you want, Shadow—no matter what it takes."

As we tracked the signals, something strange happened—each tracker was leading to a different location.

Ryo frowned. "What is this? Why is everyone going in different directions?"

Michael's expression darkened. "They're luring us into a trap. We need to split up and check all the locations to find the real one."

I thought for a moment. That was exactly what they wanted. Then, an idea formed in my mind. It was risky—failure meant certain death. But I didn't tell them my plan.

Marcus looked at me. "What are you thinking, Shadow? We're so close to achieving your dream."

I shook my head. "It's nothing. We just need to split up now and take them down."

We got into our cars, each of us wearing earpieces to stay in contact. In my car, I had Leo, Ryo, Ray, and Stefano.

As we sped toward our assigned location, I knew exactly what was going to happen. I knew their plan. And I had one of my own.

I spoke through the radio, "The Bloodz aren't stupid. What we're heading into is a trap."

Ray was alarmed. "Then why are we going?"

I took a deep breath. "Because they'll knock us out and take us to their headquarters without a fight. Once we're there, I have a plan. For now, just make sure you hide a small knife on you."

When we arrived and stepped out of the car, a thick white gas suddenly surrounded us. One by one, we collapsed. The same happened to the others in the different locations.

Some time later, I woke up to find myself tied up, with the entire Mafia beside me, also bound and seated on the ground.

In front of us stood a massive group of men in red. We were inside a massive building—their headquarters. The place I had spent my whole life searching for.

A masked man, their leader, stepped forward. He looked down at me and spoke coldly, "You brought this upon yourselves, Mafia. You, Shadow, asked for death, and now your people will die because of you."

My voice trembled with rage as I muttered, "Are you… Are you the one who killed my parents and my uncle?"

The masked man let out a dark, sinister laugh. "What do you think? Of course, I killed those fools."

I snapped, screaming, "Don't call them fools!"

He smirked. "Calm down, boy. You'll be joining them soon. Did you really think you could get revenge?"

I clenched my fists and glanced at my Mafia. We had already cut through the ropes without being noticed.

Within seconds, I grabbed my hidden knife and stabbed the Bloodz member in front of me. I snatched his weapon, and the battle began.

Though outnumbered, we fought fiercely. Leo, Phantom, and I worked together. The Bloodz leader had vanished.

Three enemies charged at me, another three at Leo, and three more at Phantom. I ran forward, holding my knife in one hand and a gun in the other, slicing and shooting my way through my opponents until they fell dead.

Leo was cornered, but Phantom rushed to his aid, stabbing one of the enemies in the gut while Leo took down the rest.

Ray, Ryo, and Michael faced thirteen enemies charging at them. They were terrified but opened fire, killing two. Leo, Phantom, and I rushed in to help. Ray then threw ten grenades, wiping out the rest and setting most of the headquarters ablaze.

The fire spread rapidly. Suddenly, an enemy stabbed Cobra in the heart. Though Stefano and Marcus killed his attacker, they couldn't save him—the flames consumed his body.

We watched in horror. The battle was turning into a nightmare.

And I knew—I had to end this. I had to find their leader and get my people out of here.
