I looked at the schedule Madam Felicia handed to me, I had two days off in a week and tomorrow I am running a morning shift. I guess I will have to set that annoying alarm clock again. I walked out of the hotel, I have finished my chores but I have one hour before my shift is over plus am super hungry. I had to go to the nearest restaurant that sells cheap food, the restaurant opposite the hotel where I work sells expensive food, am not that rich to buy even their bottled water.
I ordered for ham burger and fruit juice to eat before I die of hunger. I finished eating and went to the counters to pay when I realised, I left my wallet at home, shit! Today is definitely fucked up. What am I going to do now. "I will pay for her meals" I heard an unfamiliar voice said from my behind. I turned and frowned on who I was seeing, " don't bother" I said trying to negotiate with the cashier but he just pulled out his card and gave it to me. "I could have paid for that" I said meeting his gaze, "with what? cleaning?" He mocked. "I didn't ask for your help either" I snapped. "A thank you won't kill you" he said as he collected his card. "In your dreams" I said walking off.
"Hey slow down" he called after me but I ignored him, who the hell does he think he is to mock me. I couldn't forget what he did on the day I was interviewed. "So you got the job?" He asked when he caught up to me. "No" I replied, was he blind to see my uniform, "easy, I know we got off on the wrong foot" he said walking besides me. "I don't intend continuing on the right one" I said. "Ok but at least can we be talk buddies?" He asked, I looked at him to see if he is really serious, "please" he added, so the egocentric guy knows how to plead. "Okay " I said. "I already know you are Daisy, am Arnold" he said. "Okay Arnold can you leave me alone?" I asked, I was tired of his company mainly because he was rude and underestimated me during the interview. "If it's about last time, am sorry " he apologized, "I was angry over some random issues, I took it out on you" he explained. "Okay fine, I accept your apology but on one condition, you will be buying me lunch whenever am at work " I said. "Deal" he agreed and we shook hands.
We had already gotten to the hotel, so we parted ways. Lunch problem is solved, when you are broke as me, you take advantage of every situation and I just did.
I got home exhausted mainly because I have to trekk two miles to the house cause I left my wallet at home. It was exhausting doing that. I collapsed into the nearest sofa I could find not bothering to take off my shoes and doze off.

I couldn't believe it for the first time in all of my years of popularity, I was unrecognised by someone, this has to be a dream. I was popular among the male and female population, I wonder why that boy didn't recognise me. I was listening to his conversation when I came out of the room and was surprised to learn he didn't know who I was. Well I should not be too bothered by that cause that is not my major problem right now.
Dad had plans of building a new branch of his company here and I will be the branch manager here, is he really serious or what? What happens to my music career, I can't give up on my dreams to chase his. There was no way I was agreeing to this. I am doing my concert and leaving this city.
I need to go back to California, I was already missing Audrey my girlfriend. My phone started ringing, I fished it out from my pocket only to see is my dad, I frowned as I answered the call. "Hello dad" I said into the phone, "hello son, I just received a call from George, he told me you've arrived safely" he said. "Yes dad and I have already checked into an hotel" I said getting impatient with our conversation, he should just but the nail on the nail.
"I sent Mr. Hugo with you and he is lodging in your hotel, he will help you with acquiring the land and making plans towards the building, I want you to work with him." He said, I knew it, it was all about his business, "what if I don't?" I asked, "don't test my patience, I have little of it" he warned sternly. "You will be back in a week's time so do this" he said and ended the call.
I decided to just follow through with his outrageous decision. I wonder why didn't he give the job to Adrian, he is always interested in the family business since we were kids but I was passionate about music. It didn't help that I was the older son, I something wish I was in Adrian's position instead of being the eldest.
I got to my room after taking a tour of the town, it was nice. I freshened up and then laid on the bed. My phone started ringing, I hope it's not my dad. I picked my phone and noticed it was my girlfriend Audrey.
"Hello babe" I said as soon as I answered the call. "My love, have you arrived at Brittsburgh city?" She asked "Yes" I replied. "I miss you already " she said, "me too, I wish I didn't have to do this" I said, "I know, don't worry take your time " she said. "I won't, am coming home as soon as I get this concert done with " I said. "Okay, I was wondering if it's okay by you " she started, "for what?" I asked, "if I should come" she said. "You don't have to worry, its just for a week or two " I said. "Okay" she said.
Just then I heard a knock on my room door. "Hold on, someone is at the door " I said to her. I got up and went to door, I opened it thinking it's Mr. George manager and personal assistant. I was surprised to see Audrey.
"Surprise!" She said and I ended the call. "Audrey " I called pulling her inside for a hug. "Are you surprised?" She asked with a bright smile. "Of course I am" I replied breaking the hug. "When did you get here?" I asked, "well few minutes ago, my brand is hosting a photoshoot here" she said. "Oh, and I miss you too " she added planting a soft kiss on my lips. "hey that won't do" I said kissing her passionately. "Now that's a kiss" I said.
"So are you staying here?" I asked as we both laid on my bed, she rested her head on my chest. "No, my brand has booked a room for me in a different hotel " she said. "Okay" I said.
We talked on random issues before she left.
