Oji Hasegawa tittered. His suppressed smile worried me.
Raising his seasoned arms, he flexed his fists.
“My turn, Adam.”
I stepped back, sword fingers ready, in anticipation of something. Nothing happens.
I lowered my hands to have a better view of Oji but very soon regretted it.
The next moment, I found rings of water flying at me. I quickly circled my arm to form a
shield of power to block the incoming projectile. However, I was too slow, and one ring
breached the power perimeter and hit me on my shoulder. I had an instant face wash with water spluttered
on my cheeks.
The incident earned giggles from Kelly
"Wet wet Adam."
"I need a facial anyway." I joked. "Oji, you are fast.”
“You are fast too but I am faster."
He chuckled, and his busy eyebrows danced like white caterpillars.
"You must always be wary of sneak attacks, Adam.”
“I guess I need to learn to be wary of friendlies.”
