"My deepest condolences Mister and Mrs. Bates."
A funeral was held in the home of Gary's parents and I had to endure the eyes of the civilians including his family as they all looked at me. The report I made stated that he was killed by a killer wolf according to Hubert as the witness.
"Chief, I have no other wish than for you to catch whoever did this to our boy. He had a long life ahead of him and until now we are struggling to accept what happened."
I sighed. "You must understand that we are doing everything we can at the station Mister Bates, I am on my way now to the mountains for further investigation and I will give you my word that we are doing everything we can."
It's hard to see his wife crying unable to even say a word to me. The incident seemed so vivid in my mind, it had been long after I had experienced the death of a colleague.
"I hope you find them officer. The culprit for my son's death."
