Harper's POV
I've always been a goal getter. I've never wanted a thing, and not have it, which is why giving up on Ivan is not in my diary. I either have him, or no one would. He can't also have Miss Roselyn, or anyone else.
Ever since he ran away from home, I've been frequently visiting his parents, acting like a daughter to them, and sharing news about Ivan to them sporadically which had helped in making his runaway a little bearable for them.
If I can get the heart of his parents, even if Ivan is not yet in good terms with them, I believe I'm a little step away from having him to myself, which is why I'm putting my every being into winning their heart. They already like me as someone who used to be a close friend of Ivan, but I doubt they are seeing me as their future daughter-in-law.
“You are here, Harper?” His mother, Mrs. Smith asked, welcoming me into their house as I came in this morning, carrying a load of goodies which I handed over to her at once.
