Chapter 40

Ivan's POV

“They? May I know who these people you are rushing to see are?” I asked, but she was tight-lipped, unwilling to tell me about it.

“I'm Sorry… Sir… but you don't have to know. Just don't detain me, let me go, please” She pleaded once more. My class was usually the last subject taken on the school timetable before dismissal. Mrs. Catherine was the one who made it so.

“Sure, Tonia, you can go, if it's that important to you” I said to her, relief washing over her face at once.

“Thank you, Sir!” She answered, cleaning her tears.

So, as usual, when the class ended, she grabbed her backpack and ran out of the class. I quickly excused myself from the class, and followed carefully after her.

Anytime she turned her back to check if anyone was following her, I dodged somewhere and continued that way until we got to her destination. It was an old and abandoned warehouse that I couldn't help but wonder what she's there to do.
