Chapter 42

Ivan's POV

“There would be. I'll get back to you on it tomorrow.” I answered, placing my head on the table to rest, but she began banging her hands on the table.

“Go home if you are going to sleep here!” She scolded lightly.

“You should go ahead first, Miss Roselyn, I can take care of myself!” I answered but that only got worse.

“No way, you are leaving here before me! I can't let you make a mess of yourself here”.

“Where do you stay?” She asked, taking out her phone, “I will book you a taxi!”

“That wouldn't be necessary, Miss Roselyn, I'm sober enough, and will go on my own!” I insisted, but gosh, she was damn too stubborn. It was my first time seeing her being that way because of me.

Before I knew it, she rummaged through my suit jacket hanging on the back of my chair and pulled out my ID card. Using the address on it, she booked a taxi for me. In no time, the taxi arrived and took me straight home.
