“I won't repeat myself again, Officer Jace, release our girls from that Goddamn prison you had them locked in, or you will have to face consequences for refusing to do so.” One of the fathers of the bully girls by name, Mr. Montgomery, snapped at me. 


They were all lining up in front of my office, all protesting for the release of their daughters without caring or bothered about the crime their daughters had committed as if it were nothing. 


“Was that a threat just now, Mr. Montgomery? What right do you think you have to dare threaten a legal officer like me?” I asked, no longer fazed by him or the position he occupies in the city. 


“I'm sorry if Mr. Montgomery’s request for the release of our girls came out as a threat to you, but there is nothing wrong with his demand. Our girls did nothing wrong to be detained in your office more than they already have!” Mr. Sinclair, father of Charlotte, chipped in.
