~TRAGER’S POV~
When the sun left the sky and the moon replaced it, I couldn't sleep. I took my sword and went to train in the garden. Though the modern age has replaced gallant weapons like swords with guns, I enjoyed learning the art of sword fighting. Not like I was going to need it. Still, it was therapeutic for me.
It helped me think straight...focus. For most werewolves, a long run in the woods did the job. Even with almost an hour of training, I still couldn't stop thinking about my condition and the so-called help I had. That was probably why I was startled when I heard her voice behind me.
“Hey, Alpha.”
I almost jumped in surprise. Thankfully, I didn't. I knew if I had, I would never hear the end of it.
“What are you doing here?” I turned around to ask. She was right there in her oversized T-shirt and shorts. She walked around the Vallum in that outfit. It was no surprise she was wearing it to sleep.
