The Push and Pull

~TRAGER'S POV~

“But Alpha we haven't had any altercation with Silas and his pack in months, I don't see why we are still maintaining such high defenses at the borders,” Caleb spoke with confusion in his voice and I swear to the goddess I would have palmed my forehead if my fist weren't clenched in anger.

Caleb has been my gamma for as long as I have been the Alpha of this pack. He has soon great skills in battle and has done relatively well when it comes to handling military affairs but sometimes I can't help but feel that in spite of the redeeming qualities he possesses, he can be a fucking idiot.

Because how the hell does one think a preposterous thought?

A frustrated sigh left my lips and I unclenched one of my hands and pinched the bridge of my nose as I struggled to find the simplest, polite words to explain myself.

“Caleb.”

“Yes, Alpha?”

“If you want to catch an enemy without putting up much of a fight, what would you do?”
