The Silent Alpha

~SLOAN'S POV~

When I got to Trager's office, the last thing I expected was to see him by himself. He was always in a meeting with someone. Instead of knocking, I barged into his office. I was sure he knew I was at the door, so I didn't see the point of knocking.

“Hey, Alpha!” I greeted the second I walked in but he didn't react like normally would. Usually, he would go on and on about how I barged in and how rude I was.

“Classic Sloan.” That was all he said before he sighed. He wasn't sitting behind the desk. He stood by the window, looking outside.

“Are you alright?” I asked. The air in the office, including him, looked gloomy. “What did you do?” I figured he might have done something really crazy.

“Nothing. That's the problem. I did nothing then and not even now.” He spoke vaguely.

“What the fuck are you talking about?” I didn't like being left hanging.
