~TRAGER'S POV~
Hearing her talk about my dad like he was some psychopath pricked a part of me. I wanted to prove her wrong but I couldn't. Especially when I knew she was telling the truth. My father was a control freak.
Accepting that would be me accepting that I was a puppet. That I was still a puppet. I would have overlooked her comment if she hadn't continued so nonchalantly.
“Your father is afraid of seeing how great you could be. He knows you're a capable adult but he treats you like a child so he can still have a deep sense of control over you.” Then she shrugged. “ That's perfectly the description of my father too.” That comment she added was what calmed me down. Though I didn't like my father, I didn't like it when someone insulted him, no matter how subtle the insults were.
“Have you found a way to break off from his control?” I asked.
“Yes.” She responded without missing a beat.
“How?” I wondered what sick plan was going through her head.
