Adrianna's Pov
I cried myself to sleep last night. Waking up the next morning I just covered myself with my blanket and stayed inside my room to avoid that day, the day moved so fast that it was the next day, the day of the supposed marriage. Lyria was in my room making me look my very best.
Adrianna: Lyria
Lyria: Mmh ------- I'm sorry yes my princess.
Adrianna: It's fine, u don't have to act official all the time.
Lyria: you are still my princess, you know?
Adrianna: I'll miss u so much.
Lyria: I know, but I'm still a maid, remember.
Adrianna: Lyria, is it true that the king of Seth is a heartless man?
Lyria: Yes he is, the people even say he killed his mother when he was still a child.
Adrianna: Really, he did that, how am I supposed to live with him and be assured my life is safe.
Lyria: he won't try to harm you, he knows what your father is capable of doing to him, if by any chance anything happens to you.
Adrianna: You are right.
Lyria: he is also brave, he never goes to a battle field and looses, he always come back victorious and beside that he will be able to protect you if anything happens.
Adrianna:hmm (urging her to continue)
Lyria: The kingdom of Seth is a very beautiful place, I'm sure you will like it there.
(While discussing they heard a knock on the door).
Adrianna: Yes, come in.
Palace guard: the wedding is about is about to start my princess.
Adrianna: Ok we'll be on our way, u can leave.
Palace guard: ok my princess (leaving).
Lyria: Everything will be fine my princess.
Adrianna: (sighs) Everything will be fine. I'll be on my way.
Lyria: ok my princess.
Adrianna's Pov
As I walked slowly to the throne room, wishing everything would just be a dream, but some wishes were just not meant to be fulfilled.
The priest: The bride may now come in.
Adrianna's Pov
Everyone in the throne room had nothing on their face but pity, I got to where the priest was and stood beside him, then the moment everyone was waiting for, to see the groom, the rumored beast.
The priest: The groom is supposed to be here already where is he.
(The priest called the groom one more time to come out but no one seemed to appear).
King Alexander: The king of Seth will not be able to come due to an urgent emergency, please priest go on with the marriage rites. Am sorry for informing you in such short notice, because I just got informed not too long ago, I'm sorry for the inconveniences.
Adrianna's Pov
His words felt like a knife piercing through my heart, I couldn't believe the words I just heard from a man who is supposed to be my father.
The priest: Miss Adrianna Alexander will you take Lord Divien Arry as your lawful wedded husband to love and cherish him---------------------
(Is this really happening, how can my father do this kind of thing , this is so unfair, I was so lost in thought that I didn't realize the priest was talking to me , until he tapped me)
The priest: I said will you take him as your husband till death do you path.
Adrianna: (Hesitating), i--i--i do (in a sad and low tone).
The priest: I pronounce you both husband and wife.
Adrianna's Pov
I couldn't believe it was all happening, I got married to a man, who couldn't show up for his own marriage, how would I be able to live with him for the rest of my life. How could he be so heartless and wicked to not attend his own marriage, I had to say I DO, to a man who wasn't there.
I thought my 23rd birthday was the worst day of my life but this was the most miserable day of my life, the day of my marriage, which was supposed to be one of the most wonderful days of my life was a memorable disaster.
