Chapter 108: Safe Haven

As they drove through the city, Bella's mind wandered to thoughts of uncertainty. "What if we don't get a better life?" she thought, her eyes gazing out the window at the unfamiliar sights. But Bonita's gentle hand on hers reassured her, and she smiled weakly at the little girl.

Jr, busy on a call with his investigators, turned to them with a smile. His eyes crinkled at the corners, and Bella's heart skipped a beat. She was still getting used to the idea that this kind, powerful man was on her side.

The girls gasped in awe as they approached the mansion. "Wow, it's so big!" Lisa exclaimed, her eyes wide with wonder. The other girls nodded in agreement, their faces pressed against the windows.

The butler greeted them warmly as they stepped out of the Hummer. "Welcome back, sir," he said, his eyes flicking to Bella and the girls.

Jr smiled and clapped him on the back. "Thanks, Jenkins. We've got some special guests with us today."

Bella's eyes widened as she stepped into the grand, uniquely designed mansion. The high ceilings and marble floors made her feel like she was walking into a palace. She had never seen anything like it before.

The girls were equally impressed, their eyes scanning the opulent decorations and expensive-looking artwork. Bonita clung to Bella's hand, her eyes wide with wonder.

Jr led them through the mansion, showing them the various rooms and amenities. Bella was amazed by the sheer size and luxury of the place. She had never imagined that she would be staying in a place like this.

As they walked, Jr explained that the mansion was one of his family's properties. He had grown up here, and it was still one of his favorite places in the world.

Bella listened, fascinated, as Jr told them about his childhood. He spoke about his parents and siblings, his eyes warm with affection. Bella found herself feeling drawn to him, sensing a deep kindness and generosity beneath his tough exterior.

Eventually, Jr showed them to their rooms. Bella was amazed by the beautiful suite that had been prepared for her and the girls. The beds were huge and comfortable-looking, and the bathroom was equipped with all sorts of luxurious amenities.

The girls were thrilled, bouncing on the beds and exploring every nook and cranny of the room. Bella smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. For the first time in months, she felt truly safe.

As the girls settled in, Jr came over to Bella. "I'll leave you to get some rest," he said, his eyes gentle. "But don't worry, you're safe now. You and the girls are under my protection."

Bella smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards him. "Thank you, Jr," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Jr's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled. "You're welcome, Bella," he said. "Get some rest. We'll talk more in the morning."

As Jr left, Bella felt a sense of peace settle over her. She knew that she still had a long way to go, but for the first time in months, she felt truly hopeful.
