Chapter 111: Unraveling the Truth

Jr walked through the quiet hallway, his footsteps echoing off the walls. He had come to check on the girls, but to his surprise, their rooms were empty. A faint smile played on his lips as he made his way to Bella's room. He knocked softly before opening the door, and his heart swelled with warmth at the sight before him.

The girls were sleeping peacefully beside Bella, their tiny bodies tangled together in a bundle of innocence. Jr's eyes lingered on the scene, his chest filled with a deep sense of responsibility and protectiveness. He knew that he had to do everything in his power to keep them safe.

Without making a sound, Jr closed the door and made his way to the butler's station. "I'm heading to the office," he said, his voice low. "But I'll be back early. Please ensure that everything runs smoothly while I'm away."

The butler nodded, his expression impassive. "Yes, sir. I'll take care of everything."

Jr turned to leave, but then stopped and turned back to the butler. "Also, please inform Mrs. White that I'll be sending a driver to pick her up. She'll be going shopping for the girls."

The butler nodded again, his eyes flicking to the side as he made a note. "I'll take care of it, sir."

With that, Jr left the house, flanked by his guards. They drove to the office in silence, Jr's mind already focused on the tasks ahead.

As he settled into his office, Joshua appeared at his door. "Good morning, sir. You have an online board meeting at 11 am, followed by a general meeting at 2 pm."

Jr nodded, his eyes scanning the schedule on his desk. "Thank you, Joshua. Please call Alex for me. We need to discuss something before the meetings."

Alex arrived promptly, a cup of coffee in hand. "Morning, boss. What's up?"

Jr leaned back in his chair, his eyes serious. "I want us to start investigating the trafficking and kidnapping incidents. I have a feeling that there's more to it than we initially thought."

Alex nodded, his expression thoughtful. "I agree. We can use our resources to dig deeper. And I know you have the whole hacking thing set up on the top floor."

Jr nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Yes, but we also need people on the ground. I'll call Mr. Park to see if he can help us with the investigation."

Alex nodded, his eyes sparkling with determination. "I'll get started on the research. We'll leave no stone unturned."

Jr's eyes locked onto Alex's, a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose flowing between them. They were in this together, and they would stop at nothing to uncover the truth.
