Chapter 115: A Heartfelt Prayer

Mrs. White's knock on the door broke the spell, and Jr smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Dinner is ready, Mr. Hampton," she announced, her voice warm.

Jr stood up, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Girls, aren't you hungry? Let's go and fill our stomachs."

The girls squealed with delight, rushing downstairs in a flurry of laughter and excitement. Jr and Bella followed, walking slowly, their hands entwined.

As they reached the dining room, Jr's eyes scanned the table, his stomach growling in anticipation. The dinner spread was impressive, with all sorts of delicacies laid out before them.

Bella smiled, her eyes shining with warmth. "Before we start eating, I taught you to pray," she reminded Jr, her voice soft.

Jr nodded, his eyes locked onto Bella's. "You lead," he said, his voice low.

Bella smiled, her eyes closing as she began to pray. "Close your eyes," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

The girls obeyed, their eyes shutting tight as they waited for Bella to begin.

But instead of Bella, Bonita's voice piped up, her words tumbling out in a rush. "Dear almighty God, thank you for this food and bringing Mr. Jr to us because we are sleeping well, eating well, and enjoying...amen."

The room erupted into laughter, and Jr's eyes met Bella's, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

Bianca giggled, her eyes sparkling with mirth. "Bonita, what kind of prayer was that?" she teased, her voice playful.

Lisa jumped to Bonita's defense, her voice firm. "Ooh, she's better than you!" she exclaimed, her eyes flashing with amusement.

Bella smiled, her eyes warm with affection. "Let me serve you," she said, her voice soft, as she began to serve the food.

Jr watched, his eyes scanning the table, his heart full of warmth and affection. He knew that he had to find the girls' families, but if he failed, he was willing to adopt them as his own.

As they sat down to eat, Jr's eyes met Bella's, and he smiled, his heart full of love and gratitude. He knew that he had found his family, and he was determined to keep them safe, no matter what.
