Dying Would Be Humiliating

Lucas awoke from the gaming pod.

He went to Bella's room.

Bella had already sat up in her gaming pod. Upon seeing Lucas enter, she said with a hint of worry, "Brother."

"You've been acting a bit strange today."

"You didn't even mention the Mysteria Guild; it feels like you two had a falling out."

Lucas nodded in response, "Yes, we did. Pack up, get ready to go out, and bring a few changes of clothes. We need to move somewhere else for a few days. I'll explain everything on the way."

"Ah? Move? Where to?"

"You'll understand when we get there."

"Okay, fine."

Since her brother answered that way, she didn't press further.

Bella wasn't one to dawdle, quickly gathering her clothes as Lucas requested.

When Bella left her room, she found Lucas already waiting by the door with a small suitcase.

"Brother..."

"Let's go."

Soon, the two left the villa and headed to the garage.

Lucas didn't choose the flashy Lamborghini but instead picked an inconspicuous Volkswagen.

After placing the luggage in the trunk, Lucas got into the driver's seat, while his sister took the passenger seat.

"This house might be disturbed by others soon."

"I have another apartment in the city that no one knows about. We'll play games there."

Hearing Lucas say this, Bella couldn't help but worry, "Brother... did something happen? Otherwise, why would you give me the S-rank talent activation code?"

"You said you fell out with Mysteria. How much is the penalty for breach of contract? And this talent, did you steal it from Mysteria Guild?"

Bella knew the value of an S-rank talent; it was priceless.

It might be impossible to buy even for hundreds of millions.

If her brother had really stolen something like that, he might face severe consequences.

"Don't worry about your talent. I didn't steal or rob it. It's an S-rank reward I obtained myself in the first server."

"As for the contract penalty, we only need to pay five hundred million. You don't have to worry."

Hearing Lucas explain the origin of the talent, Bella breathed a sigh of relief. Given Lucas's strength in the first server, she believed him when he said he had obtained an S-rank reward.

But hearing the latter part of Lucas' words, Bella almost jumped up, "Huh? Five hundred million?"

Bella wasn't some naive girl; she knew what five hundred million meant.

"Don't get so worked up." Lucas stepped on the accelerator, and the car roared to life, speeding off abruptly.

In the next moment, Lucas hastily slammed on the brakes!

The car stopped just in time.

Looking at the pillar less than 10 centimeters away, Bella pressed a hand to her chest.

They had almost crashed into the wall.

Lucas's lips twitched. Having not driven for nearly a century, and mostly flying in later years, he almost forgot how to drive a car.

Bella, in the passenger seat, held her heart, "Brother... if you can't drive, let's just take a taxi."

Lucas reversed the car, "I just didn't have the feel for it."

Starting the car again, this time, it finally went smoothly.

Leaving the garage, Lucas continued their previous conversation, "What's the big deal about that? Your brother just earned two hundred million. What's owing five hundred million?"

Bella muttered quietly, "Those two million gold coins haven't been credited yet... they might not even give it to us."

Hearing Bella's muttering, Lucas chuckled, "They will."

"And there's still three hundred million left. Brother, do you think earning three hundred million is that easy?"

Hearing Bella's doubts, Lucas smiled, "Lu Lu, do you believe that even if we don't ask for this three hundred million, those guilds will send it to us themselves, and they'll be fighting to do so."

Bella sighed and shrugged, "If anyone else said that, I would definitely think they were bragging, but since it's you, Brother, I have no choice but to believe it."

"Forget it, just tell me about the S-rank talent activation code."

Along the way, the siblings chatted about many things. Upon learning that the Mysteria Guild had intended to harm her brother, Bella slapped her thigh and almost cursed out loud.

Lucas fabricated a story to make Bella believe that the activation code was obtained in the first server.

In reality, Lucas knew quite a few activation codes.

However, at this stage, Lucas didn't trust anyone other than his sister.

Some of his old friends from his past life were now serving various organizations, and their positions were different, making it impossible to directly entrust them.

Even if they were friends in a past life, they were still strangers in this life. Lucas had already experienced situations where friends from the first life were enemies in the second, and friends from the second life were enemies in the third.

Enemies might not always be enemies, and friends might not always be friends...

For example, a certain god named Tiss, was like that.

He was killed by Tiss in his second life, but she saved his life in his third life.

Among the activation codes Lucas possessed, the highest grade was the SS-rank assassin talent.

But the reason he didn't let Bella inherit that SS-rank assassin talent was that Bella wasn't suited for the assassin class.

That talent, it was best to return it to its original owner.

And this original owner was also someone Lucas planned to bring into the guild.

After about a 40-minute drive, Lucas brought Bella to an apartment. The apartment was quite spacious, with two gaming pods inside.

This was originally a house Lucas had bought near the university for Bella's convenience in the future.

He didn't expect it to come in handy at a time like this.

After entering, Bella immediately threw down her luggage, "I ordered takeout, specifying that they leave it at the door. Log in! Tonight is Epochal World night!"

"Hurry, Brother! We're already 40 minutes behind! Others will catch up to our progress!"

"Alright, alright."

This sister of his was truly addicted to gaming. Even he, as a reborn individual, wasn't urging her to grind progress, but here she was, urging the reborn individual.

After agreeing to Bella, Lucas sat in the white gaming pod and logged into the game.

*Buzz*

After a series of skilled operations, Lucas returned to Maple City once again.

[Second place on the Level Leaderboard: Azure has logged in.]

As soon as he logged in, a large announcement popped up!

"Speechless, I forgot to turn off the announcement."

Lucas turned off the leaderboard login announcement to prevent the entire server from knowing every time he logged in.

That would make doing some sneaky things inconvenient.

And just as he logged in, Lucas saw a message.

[Dauntless]: "Boss! Help! !"

"There are so many people chasing me!"

Seeing this plea for help, Lucas immediately replied, "Location."

[Dauntless]: "How do I check my location?"

[Azure]: "Just say 'send current location'..."

[Dauntless]: "[Westwind Plains (714, 2779)]"

[Azure]: "Okay, be right there. Don't die."

[Dauntless]: "What happens if I die?"

[Azure]: "It would be very humiliating."
