The elves.

The world was changing once more. The nymphs, once creatures of nature, had evolved into a new race—the elves. No longer bound by their plant-like forms, they had taken on humanoid bodies, yet retained their deep connection to the natural world. With pointed ears, long lifespans, and an innate talent for magic, they were destined to become something greater.

Some of the gods watched from the god realm, intrigued by this transformation. Some saw the elves as an opportunity, a race that could embody their divine essence and spread their worship. And so, some of the gods descended, choosing those among the elves who would receive their blessings and be reborn in their image.

In a forest filled with mutated red trees, Apollo, god of the sun and light, gazed upon the elves with golden eyes filled with purpose. Once, he had been merely the god of light, but with now after the tragedy of the burning Earth cause by Helios's son, Apolo had claimed the sun as his domain.

Sittimg on a rock, Apolo called upon the elves living in that forest. With a wave of his hand, he filled their bodies with solar essence, their skin becoming darker, their eyes taking on a golden hue, their hair shimmering like rays of light. Their eyes gleamed like burning embers, and within them awakened the talent for light magic, an art crafted by Hecate with Apollo's blessing.

"These shall be my Sun Elves," Apollo declared. "They will draw strength from the sun, wielding its brilliance against darkness."

The Sun Elves stood taller than their kin, their bodies infused with divine warmth. They became masters of healing and purification, their spells searing away corruption and shadow. Under the bright sun, they reached the height of their power, their very presence a beacon of divine light.

Artemis, goddess of the hunt and the moon, watched as the transformation took place. She left her brother and search for elves that fit her will. And so on a very dark night, in a small island. Artemis saw the elves,

who moved and hunt with silent grace through the woods and revered the glow of the celestial moon.

Under the silver light of the full moon, Artemis stepped forward, her presence like a whisper in the wind. She touched the chosen elves, their bodies shimmering as their forms changed. Their skin took on a pale, ethereal glow, their eyes gleamed silver, their hair took on the color of the moon. They became Moon Elves, wielders of moonlight magic, a variant of light magic that thrived under the moon.

"My Moon Elves shall be swift, silent, and deadly," Artemis proclaimed. "The darkness shall not be their enemy, but their ally."

With keen senses and unparalleled archery, the Moon Elves became hunters without equal. Under the full moon, their powers surged, their arrows striking true, their magic weaving through the night like silver threads. They became guardians of the wilds, protectors of balance, and relentless hunters of those who would defile nature.

Demeter, goddess of the harvest and growth, had long watched over the natural world. She saw in the elves a potential to nurture the land, to cultivate the wilds rather than merely inhabit them. And so, she descended into the deepest groves, where the most devoted elves tended to the forests with reverence.

With a gentle touch, she wove her blessing into their very being. Their skin darkened to the rich hues of bark and earth, their hair took on shades of deep green and auburn, and their eyes gleamed with the wisdom of the wilds. They became Wood Elves, gifted with an unparalleled connection to nature.

"My children shall be the guardians of the land," Demeter decreed. "Where they walk, life shall flourish."

The Wood Elves could command plants, making them grow with but a whisper. Their presence invigorated the forests, and their magic could turn barren lands into verdant paradises. They became the caretakers of nature, ensuring balance and harmony in the world's untamed places.

The transformation of the elves did not end with these three. Other gods, though not as well known as the Olympians, saw fit to bestow their gifts upon those elves who wish to follow and worship them.
