chapter 36

Chapter 36 rikka perspective

Since returning to the village, life had gone on as usual for Rikka. Her friends were gone, and the encounter that night with the demon haunted her dreams. Some days, she wondered if it would be alright for her to go back and see him. After listening to the elder and Agu talk about what they went through while they were in the dungeon, she was surprised to learn about the golems. Agu had explained that they weren't there before but instead, there had been crystal bee-like creatures.

Agu spent countless hours debating with the elder about what they should do regarding the dungeon. Their decision was to send a message to the warlord who controlled the region, asking him to send a gold-tier individual to investigate the dungeon more closely. The party that had been sent was injured and forced to make a deal to escape, and the warlord needed to know the details.

After they sent the letter, Rikka approached Agu. "Agu, could you arrange to bring me to the dungeon? I would like to talk with him. He did make a demand for Grekka to get healed; he may be willing to have a formal discussion and get the details arranged."

Agu thought over Rikka's words, then sighed. "We can do it, but you will need to tell me why you want to do this yourself."

Rikka flushed slightly, looking around. She noticed that while people weren't listening, there were too many around. "I will tell you why on the way there. There are too many people here to say."

Agu stared at her, suspicion etched on her face. "Fine. We leave at dawn. The information better be worth it."

When dawn arrived, Rikka joined Agu's party at the gate leading into the village. They headed into the forest, following the same path that had taken them to the dungeon last time. The journey was uneventful, but the weight of Rikka's secrets hung heavy in the air.

When they reached the end of the dungeon's influence, Agu called for everyone to set up camp. They would head inside the next day after camp was set up and everyone had settled down. As night fell and the campfire crackled, Agu moved towards Rikka's tent.

"Rikka, it's time we have that talk," Agu said, her voice firm but gentle.

Rikka moved closer to the flap of the tent and let Agu in. Agu's small goblin frame made it easy for her to get comfortable inside. "So, why do you really have us out here, Rikka? The party thinks we are going there on behalf of the village, but I know better. Spill."

Rikka sighed and sat up so she could face Agu. Her tail flicked nervously, a telltale sign of her anxiety. Agu knew that Rikka had been saved by the medicine of the demon, but that wasn't enough to justify this journey. "The night he saved me, I caught him... I caught him with his little imp. I don't know what got ahold of me, but watching and listening to the imp, I felt like a young woman again."

After a moment of silence, Rikka continued, her voice barely above a whisper. "After he found me listening and rubbing myself, we moved outside. He summoned a large crystal for me to lay on. The next thing I knew, we started to mate. This went on for hours until I blacked out. Since that night, I haven't stopped thinking about it."

Agu's eyes widened in surprise, but she remained silent, allowing Rikka to continue.

"I need to see him again, Agu. I need to understand what happened and why. I can't stop thinking about him, about that night. Please, help me."

Agu's expression softened, and she placed a comforting hand on Rikka's shoulder. "I understand, Rikka. I'll help you. But we must be careful. The dungeon is dangerous, and Azazel is unpredictable. We'll go in together, and we'll face whatever comes our way."

Rikka nodded, grateful for Agu's support. "Thank you, Agu. I know this is risky, but I have to do it."

Azazel's Perspective

Just before dusk, another alert flashed across my consciousness, indicating that delvers had appeared. I swiftly moved my awareness to the entrance of my dungeon and saw their camp set up next to it. While I couldn't directly interact or summon anything outside my dungeon, they were close enough for me to hear their conversations and observe their movements. Intrigued, I decided to be a bit nosy and tried listening in.

At first, I didn't hear anything, so I took one last look. And there she was: Rikka. Her presence was unmistakable, and my heart skipped a beat. I remembered our encounter vividly—the intensity, the passion, and the unexpected connection we had shared. Seeing her again stirred a mix of emotions within me.

I focused my senses, trying to pick up any snippets of conversation from her camp. The delvers were discussing their plans, their voices low and cautious. I could make out fragments of their discussion, but it was Rikka's voice that stood out to me. She sounded determined, her words laced with a sense of purpose that piqued my curiosity.

"Azazel, could you arrange to bring me to the dungeon? I would like to talk with him. He did make a demand for Grekka to get healed; he may be willing to have a formal discussion and get the details arranged."

I heard Agu's voice respond, though I couldn't make out all the words. The mention of my name and the reference to Grekka's healing caught my attention. It seemed that Rikka had a specific purpose in mind, and I was eager to find out what it was.

For now I waited untill Agu left the tent and once she did I tried speaking into rikkas mind I was worried it wouldn't work since she might not have been close enough but I didn't have to worry for to long I was able to reach her mind "hello again Rikka"

Rikka pov

"Hello again Rikka" she was startled as she was getting ready to rest in her tent. By this point she was almost naked in her tent and quickly covered up with her thick blanket. Once she calmed down she tried to reply back with her own mind. But she found her self unable to do so "can you hear me Rikka" Azazels voice trailing off it was sounding distant. Something jolted her she needed to see him her body her mind needed this. She couldn't understand why all her instincts was telling her don't this is dangerous but she couldn't help it after dressed again she tried to slip out of the camp and into the dungeons entrance. Unknowingly she was being trailed by Agu.
