[15,000 /50,000 SP]

Peter sighed, looking at the notifications before him, Peter stood up from his bed and went into the bathroom to freshen up. After doing so, Peter moved May to her room, tidied his room, and finally, took out a paper from his [Inventory]. It was the teleportation paper the Ancient One had given him.

Speaking of papers, Peter had already cast mind protection spells on his close family and friend, including his slaves since they knew the information. (Gwen, George, Aunt May, Ned, Gwen, Liz, MJ, Michele, Betty).

Peter stared at the paper in his hands and tore it asunder. Immediately, a golden light shimmered out of the paper and fell in front of him, forming a portal that would presumably lead to his destination: Symkaria. Peter walked through the portal as his spider-suit-God, he needed a name for it-erupted out of his tattoo and covered his whole body.

As Peter stepped out, he found himself in front of the largest mansion he'd ever seen, it wasn't as large as the skyscrapers he remembered as Edward though-

Peter stiffened.

'Remember?' Peter frowned before moving towards the mansion.

Why would he 'remember' something as Edward? This was a question running rampant in his mind, and it was answered soon after as he looked into Edward's memories. Where there were only things related to Marvel, comics, songs, games, novels, and movies-the typical nerd shit-there were other memories now.

The ones he'd seen in the Memory Fragment.

So, the memories he'd seen in the record were now imprinted in his mind as if they were his own? Great.

Peter grumbled to himself and continued walking towards the largest mansion he'd seen. However, he couldn't walk freely for long as two people dressed like trained soldiers stepped out from the mansion and started walking up to him. They were ready to attack when a butler came running out with grace, stopping them at once before he made his way up to Peter. The butler didn't say a thing and simply directed him into the mansion without even blinking.

Although Peter was a bit confused, he followed behind the butler nonetheless. He'd thought that he'd have to fight and cause a big enough commotion for Silver to notice. But it seemed that he was thinking needless things. Though Peter did question the security of this place if they were letting him in without even doing proper checking.

Their footsteps echoed through the halls as they walked through them. Peter stared around at the artwork hanging on the sides for a few seconds before focusing his gaze back on the butler. Peter found him similar for some reason, like he'd seen him somewhere before. Even though his face was unrecognizable, and there were no similarities between this butler and any person Peter might've met, he had a gut feeling from within. Anyways, Peter was led to an open area behind the mansion, where a beautiful hot lady was waiting for him.

"This is surely a pleasant surprise, Mr. Spider," said Silver, turning over to give him an impassive look. "I'm happy to see you again."

"You don't look the part," Peter joked, shaking her hand. (A/N: Her name is changed to Silver Sablinova instead of Silvija Sablinova-both are correct, but I will be going with Silver one because it is easier to remember, and type.)

"I reckon you're here for that training I promised?" Silver said, raising an eyebrow as she sipped her drink.

"Yes," Peter nodded, looking around. This area was quite open, and it had several noteworthy things; such as a big pool-which Peter definitely wanted to dive in. There were some training equipment, gym equipment, guns, swords, rapiers, blades, spears, bows & arrows, axes, lances, and many other types of weapons.

"Let's get to it, I suppose." She said, leaving the useless chatter for later, Spider-Man was going to be with her for a long time, after all. So, she wanted to have a session right away to see his capabilities. She put the glass in her hands on the table beside her and picked up a knife, looking over before she tore a slit in her dress, along her leg, so that she could move more freely.

"We're going to fight. I want to test your physical limits and techniques so that I can get a base to start from." She said in her accent, and Peter couldn't help but smile slightly, finding her accent cute.

"Let's start, shall we?" saying so, Silver threw the knife at him, and Peter dodged out of instincts, but before he could have time to re-adjust himself, Silver was already upon him, her leg coming down on his head, though Peter's spider-sense worked wonders, making him dodge out of the way.

Silver raised an eyebrow before moving into his comfort zone, feigning a kick to the right as she threw a solid punch at his chest. Peter slipped behind, having already predicted that she was going to punch him. Though his prediction turned out to be wrong as the kick she'd thrown as a feint turned out to be not a feint and landed in his ribs, sending him hurtling back.

Peter managed to remain afoot.

"That's enough," said Silver. "You have higher physical strength than me, your reaction time is fast, and you seem to dodge instinctively-though I think everything I said comes in a package with your spider powers. Am I right?"

Peter nodded, "I can sense attacks coming before you even strike."

"But there's a problem. All you're doing is surrendering your body to your spider instincts. You're not fighting yourself, but letting your body fight for you. Although you've been fine doing this as far as now since you've never met an opponent who can fight you-and, well, your freakish strength-you should learn to fight yourself, and not with your instincts. They're your tools, you should use them to your advantage, but don't ever let the tools dictate yourself."

Peter nodded again; she's competent if she managed to deduce this much after just exchanging a few attacks. Peter knew that coming to her wasn't a mistake.

Silver just walked up to the table and picked up another knife before she continued to cut her dress. She cut the clothing covering her, up to her thighs so that she could move freely-she'd still felt a bit restricted before. Silver sighed; maybe she should just go and don her training clothes.

Today was a nice day for swimming, and that's exactly why she'd come out here, wearing a dress on top of her swimsuit-which consisted of nothing but a bra and panties. But she hadn't expected that Spider-Man would come out of nowhere in front of her house. She was annoyed that he'd ruined her day, but a promise was a promise, and now that he'd managed to come to her country, she'd help him train.

Now that she thought about it, how did he manage to enter her country without his identity being revealed? At least, if no one else, she'd have been the first to know if got here, since she had many agents on the lookout for unwanted guests-such as terrorists.

"Ahem," Spider-Man coughed, bringing her attention back to him. "Um, you've cut a bit too much of your dress; I can practically see your undie-sky-blue, eh? Shitty color; awesome view, by the way. I might just confuse that you're tryna seduce little Spidey."

Silver stiffened slightly, her attention going back to her dress-she'd really been lost in her thoughts. So much that she'd cut the dress a bit too much.

"Another session, now!" she shouted, running up to him before she threw a kick.

"What?" Spider-Man said, confused. "At least a warning-"

"Enemies don't give warnings; they strike the moment you won't expect."

"Oh, come on! Don't grumble; I've caught you seducing Spidey red-handed. No need to hide it. I don't mind being in a relationship with a beautiful lady such as yourself."

Silver growled, scowling-she definitely didn't like what he was saying. She lashed at him, throwing a flurry of attacks as she spoke. "I'm married!"

Spider-Man ducked under the kick she'd thrown at his head, weaving around her. "I thought you were divorced?"

"How would you know that?" she asked, growling.

"Well, I have my sources. So, aren't you divorced?"

"That," Silver glowered, not liking where this conversation was going-she threw a jab at his face. "Doesn't matter!"

They trained as her mind wandered off a bit.

Silver had been, at one point in her life, married to a man simply known as Foreigner. She'd loved him dearly, thinking of him as a person she would spend her whole life with. But the fucker turned out to be a criminal. Be that as it may, her husband being a criminal wasn't a big deal in her opinion, but he… Foreigner was responsible for the death of her uncle Fritz.

That's something she couldn't let go of, so she turned against him, and divorced.

A stinging pain from her right cheek made her tear her attention back to Spider-Man, who'd capitalized on this chance, and punched her.

"I deserved that," Silver muttered. She deserved that punch; all that training her father put her through-though she'd begged him to train her-and this is what she does? Losing focus mid-fight? This was a training session; if it were a real fight, she'd have been long dead. Silver was disappointed in herself.

"You seem a bit out of it; we can take a little rest if you want," Spider-Man offered.

Peter wasn't sure what was on her mind, but her expression had broken into something strange just a while ago, so he wasn't sure if she was fine or not. Maybe she wasn't feeling well? Whatever it may be, it was probably for the best if she took a bit of rest.

"Come on," Peter said, walking from her side, his gaze landing on her perky butt. His instincts got the better of him, and he threw a solid slap, and since Silver was a bit out of it, she didn't notice, and it landed with a resounding sound that surprised her. "Let's go-"

Before he could say anything, Silver had already jumped, and landed a kick in his gut before moving up his body as she locked his neck in her legs and threw him down, locking him in place.

She was angry.

Really, really angry.

"I deserved that," Spider-Man wheezed out, patting her thigh so that she'd let go. She didn't; the patting increased.

"Come on!" Peter growled out, sure, he could get out of this lock if he used his strength, but that'd probably hurt her, and that was something he didn't want since he'd have to kiss his training goodbye. "I'm sorry, okay?"

Since she wasn't listening, Peter decided to use a tame method.

He activated [Beast's Scent].

Though he wouldn't fuck her right now. This was just so she'd let him go.

A strange odor wafted in the air, and Peter knew that the scent was working, though when he looked down at her face; he was left a bit shocked for the first time. [Beast's Scent] wasn't working on her. Her face retained the same fury she had a moment ago, and there was no indication that she was horny, or that her expression slackened.

No. she appeared to be perfectly fine.

'How?' Peter thought; why wasn't [Beast's Scent] not working on her?

Though the scent didn't work as intended, Silver let go of him and stood up, walking away. Her hips swayed as she did so. Peter just stared, still in a bit of shock that [Beast's Scent]-a skill that had never failed him-didn't work on her.

"I'll be back. Meanwhile, get your mind out of the gutter, Spider. I won't tolerate this twice." Her cold words lingered for a bit more as Peter laid there on there on the ground, staring at the sky.

Yes, he definitely deserved that.

Chapter 46

46: Symkaria [02]

"I hope you have your mind straight, Spider." Said Silver, coming back in her tight silver outfit.

Peter stared at her, "Straight as a log." He spoke.

He wasn't lying, he was straight as a log-though logs weren't really that straight, to begin with.

"Good," Silver said, and they started training again.

During training, however, Peter thought that it was probably better to apologize.

"I'm sorry if what I said bothered you." Peter wasn't really entitled to apologize to her for anything, but he wanted some plus points on what he was looking at.

Yes, he'd used [Sexual Sight] on her to see what she was feeling and if he'd crossed any line or not. It had cost him [3,000 SP], so he was only left with this [12,000 SP] after using it on her. Though there was one good news; he only needed to spend once on a single person. Meaning, now that he'd spent SP to view Silver's information, he could view it again whenever he wanted, there would be no cost.

So, that was a relief, at least.

Peter stared at her information.

Name: Silver Sablinova

Title: Silver-Sable, Cold Beauty, etcetera

Sex: Female

Age: 36

Species: Human

Status: A bit annoyed, excited to teach her newest student, sour that he'd mentioned her ex-husband

Virgin: No

Anal Virgin: Yes

Affection: 01% (Hmm, being her student seems to have a bit of an effect)

Love: -10% (Your flirty nature doesn't fit right with her)

Horniness: 0% (she has absolute self-control)

Fear: 02% (You're stronger than her, so of course she'd fear you)

Loyalty: 0% (Will stab you in the back if need be)

Trust: 30% (Out of the deep waters, at least. Whew)

Likes: (You have yet to discover them, duh)

Dislikes: (You have yet to discover them, duh)

Description: She has an indomitable will. She can resist any psychic manipulation of her mind. Won't be easily influenced by [Beast's Scent] or [Sexual Boost] or many other abilities you have, but the skills will be more effective if you can increase her Affection, Love, Horniness, Fear, Loyalty, and Trust. The more you increase, the higher chance of your skills working.

She's stuck in the past after her husband murdered her uncle. Because of that, she has not been in a relationship for, like, ever. She wants to be in one, but deems no one 'worthy' after Foreigner-her husband-turned out to be the dick he is.

Difficulty: A (Yes, not an easy target, especially considering mind-manipulating abilities such as [Beast's Scent] won't work on her. Good luck!)

That's what he was seeing.

And, to say the least, Peter was surprised.

The training continued for a while, and Peter had a little plan.

"Why not though?" he asked her, making her raise an eyebrow. "I, at least, want to know why we can't be a thing. You seem to be an intelligent woman, so I want to be as blunt as possible."

Silver stared at him, throwing a swift punch, which he promptly dodged as he saw her [Status] going from [A bit annoyed] to [Annoyed]. Peter kept waiting, but she didn't answer. He wouldn't relent though; he would make her talk. Not like she could kick him out-since she'd promised him. Probably.

"I'm still waiting for an answer," Peter said and had to jump back to avoid her kick. She was getting angrier. He could see her [Annoyed] state evolving into [Angry]. Though she was feeling emotionally like that, there weren't any changes in her expression.

"I'm gonna keep pestering until you answer," Peter said in a sing-song tone as he tried not to dodge her and meet her attacks so that he could train himself.

Silver didn't answer, and Peter kept pestering her the whole day. She moved on to other types of training, and Peter just did whatever she asked, though he still didn't stop his pestering.

Anyways, he was proud to say that he'd made her [Status] reach a [Fuming in anger] state by the end of the day. Though she didn't show that one bit, showing her self-control and her indomitable will. She couldn't be influenced by her emotion much. Even though she felt every emotion there is, she'd not let it control her.

After the day ended, Peter was given a room in the mansion to rest for the night since Silver believed he had no place to live in Symkaria, which was true, but Peter didn't really need to live anywhere since he could just teleport back home.

Though Peter would just go home for a brief time and lock himself inside his room so that May would believe that he was asleep. Meanwhile, Peter would be in here, this luxurious room. Why? There was a simple reason, for one night, Peter wanted to enjoy a life of luxury.

The next day, Peter and Silver were training as usual, when they stopped to take a bit of rest.

"You're improving," Silver praised.

Peter gasped, "I am honored!"

Silver snorted as she wiped her body sweat, drinking some lemonade just after-yes, she liked lemonade, Peter had found it out today. And there were other changes as well. Peter used [Sexual Sight] on her, and focused only on a specific part.

Affection: 03% (She considers you her student, and is even a bit proud of your achievements in but a single day)

Love: -09% (Your flirty nature doesn't fit right with her)

Horniness: 0% (she has absolute self-control)

Fear: 05% (You're stronger than her, so of course she'd fear you, plus your monstrous growth in a single day.)

Loyalty: 01% (Will stab you in the back, if need be, but trusts you a bit more since you're her student now, technically.)

Trust: 35% (Out of the deep waters, at least. Whew)

Peter grinned under his mask; this was some good progress since she was the first real target he had. She was difficult, and that's why It would be fun to slowly make her his.

Making her fall for him would be a good way to put it.

That's exactly why he started pestering her again.

"You haven't given me a reason, you know?"

Silver turned to glare at him and threw a punch; she seemed to have had enough. Peter, however, didn't move away, he waited patiently for the punch to connect, but it didn't. Instead, Silver backed away, snorting.

"Let's just say that I've had bad experiences with men in the past." She finally gave him an answer.

"Oh…" Peter let out a 'disappointed' sigh before he got a bit annoyed at her.

Judging him because some dickhead from the past didn't treat her right? That's beyond horrible.

"You know," Peter said, a tinge of annoyance lacing his voice, which seemed to surprise Silver, or so her [Status] told. "Since I'm not one of those 'men' you speak of, maybe you shouldn't hold me responsible for their behavior. As a wise man once said 'Making present men pay for past mistakes equals no future'." Saying so, Peter decided to go to his room for today-he had to act the part where he was a bit hurt by what she thought of him, after all.

His words seem to affect her, he checked with [Sexual Sight] before leaving, and it was really difficult to stop himself from jumping up in happiness at the progress he made in such a short span of time.

[+10 Affection]

[+10 Love]

[+10 Loyalty]

[+10 Trust]

Affection: 13% (She considers you her student, and is even a bit proud of your achievements in but a single day)

Love: 01% (Your flirty nature doesn't fit right with her, but a spark seems to have been ignited by your words)

Horniness: 0% (she has absolute self-control)

Fear: 05% (You're stronger than her, so of course she'd fear you, plus your monstrous growth in a single day.)

Loyalty: 11% (Will stab you in the back, if need be, but trusts you a bit more since you're her student now, technically.)

Trust: 45% (Quite a bit of trust. Though trust doesn't equal Loyalty)

After checking this, he went into his room in the mansion before he opened a portal to his room-his real room, in his real house in Queens. Peter stepped through the portal and closed it with a single thought, sighing as his mask turned into shadows and retracted back into his suit. He wasn't going full Peter Parker mode since he wanted to go run in the city looking for crimes and all that.

His public image mattered, after all.

But what he didn't expect, was that May was sitting on his bed, naked. She was looking at him with her mouth agape.

Peter stiffened.

'Oh, shit.'

He sighed; he wanted to reveal it to her sooner or later, so now that she'd seen his face, it didn't really matter anymore.

"Peter?!" May shouted, pointing a finger at him.

May was really surprised.

She'd come in the room and had gotten naked, waiting for Peter to return home so he could have a pleasant surprise when she'd offer herself up-yeah, they were playing little games while fucking each other now-but she hadn't expected Spider-Man of all people to pop out of nowhere in the room.

More so, when that same Spider-Man's mask vanished, revealing her own nephew.

"You're Spider-Man!?" She stared at him in disbelief.

"Um," Peter didn't know what to say. "Surprise?"

It took a lot of 'effort' to calm May down, and explain things.

She wasn't so happy with the fact that Peter was going out risking his life, but she couldn't really say anything about right and wrong when she was fucking her own nephew. So, in the end, she was reluctantly cool about the fact that he was Spider-Man when he sent her above clouds with their coming sex session.

During this, he tried many things he hadn't tried on her before.

Peter threw May down his body and onto the bed. She was awake for a little while after that but fell asleep soon after. Peter, on the other hand, went and showered while going over his points.

After showering, Peter got on his pc to check the progress of his games and 'business'.

[Temple Run]'s downloads were nearing the 10 million mark, while [Flappy Bird] had kind of blown up, and there were over 25 million downloads already. Peter knew that this was, kind of, a lot. He'd probably earn a ton with this and would have enough funds to start his business and many of his projects.

Say, such as research on the blood of She-Hulk and Abomination?

He still had it lying around in his [Inventory].

Thinking of stuff and his [Inventory], Peter recalled that he still had the ruby he'd gotten from Felicia. So, he took out the laptop he'd been working on in his spare time.

It was nothing special yet, and there were only a few more important things on it for now, such as a little change he made so that his IP Address would change every second. Meaning that tracking his location would be impossible. And he wouldn't even need to use his own internet; he could just connect it to any connection available since there was an automatic hacking system in place too.

That system was responsible for hacking into the connection so that Peter wouldn't require any kind of password for it. And that it would be secure for him to surf the web.

Peter booted the laptop before going 'dark'. (A/N: Dark - surfing Dark web)

Then, Peter began looking for the best place he could auction the ruby at.

Chapter 47

47: Iron-Man?

While Peter was busy with his training, school, dates with Gwen, his games, some small projects, sex, and selling the ruby, Tony Stark was hammering the helmet of his suit. A suit he was making so that he could get out of this place. Tony had learned many lessons by getting kidnapped, and somewhere in his heart, he was grateful that he was kidnapped, otherwise, he wouldn't have woken up.

"You have till tomorrow to assemble my missile"

The words of Raza, the head of the Ten Rings, echoed in Tony's mind as he shoved the helmet down in the water to cool it down before setting it on the table in front of his recent buddy, Yinsen.

"It's time, Yinsen," Tony said, getting ready for the final showdown. He'd stayed in this place for long enough, the leader of the Ten Rings had given him a deadline, which was approaching, and he hadn't created the missile for him. Tony hadn't even started working on the earlier process of the missile.

He had never started working on it, nor would he ever will. Not for the Ten Rings. Tony might be many things, an alcoholic, a playboy, a bad man, a billionaire, but he'd come to realize that his tech was being used for something wrong. And he wasn't going to make another one of those missiles for these terrorists.

He'd had enough.

Someone was using his name to move shipments of his tech, and Tony didn't know who. He had his suspicions, of course, but those weren't really all that believable.

Tony wrapped his hands up as Yinsen lifted the suit-which Tony had built, along with an Arc Reactor which was working like his heart right now, In this cave-and helped Tony suit up.

"Okay? Can you move? Okay, say it again." Yinsen said, making sure Tony remembered everything right.

Tony nodded, "41 steps straight ahead. Then 16 steps, that's from the door, fork right, 33 steps, turn right."

Meanwhile, Raza, the leader of the Ten Rings, noticed that Tony Stark couldn't be seen on the security footage he was receiving

"Where is Stark?" he asked, speaking in fluent Arabic.

"Uh," The man beside him squinted at the screens. "He was here a moment ago."

"Go look for him," Raza ordered, feeling as if something was wrong, so very wrong.

The men rushed to the cell Tony Stark had been kept inside. They had guns in hand, and were ready to shoot at a moment's notice.

"Yinsen! Yinsen! Stark!" One of the men shouted, thumping against the metal door, hard.

On the other side of the door, Tony Stark was finally showing some signs of panic.

"Say something!" he hissed. "Say something back to him!"

"But he's speaking Hungarian," Yinsen said, looking at him as if he was dumb. "I don't…"

"Then speak Hungarian!" Tony hissed again, and Yinsen nodded heavily, walking up to the door.

"Okay, I know."

"What do you know?" Tony asked.

The men from the other side continue shouting through the door, and Yinsen shouted something back at them. As the door opened and exploded, Tony and Yinsen got back to the suit-up process.

Time was running out, and they needed to hurry the fuck up.

"Initialize the power sequence," Tony said, sounding rushed. "Now!"

"Okay. Tell me." Yinsen said, and Tony began giving him instructions. The progress bar on the screen started moving.

[09%]

Tony and Yinsen were quite stressed at the progress. More men were swarming, they could hear the muffled shouts from outside.

[17%]

"Make sure the checkpoints are clear before you follow me out, okay?" Tony asked Yinsen for confirmation. He'd made a friend here, and he wasn't leaving without him. He refused to leave without him.

[26%]

"We need more time," Yinsen said, staring at the progress bar.

[39%]

"Hey," Yinsen called out. Tony stared at him. "I'm gonna go buy you some time." Saying so, Yinsen walked up to a dead man and picked up his gun.

[50%]

"Stick to the plan!" Tony hissed.

[76%]

"Stick to the fucking plan!" Tony yelled as he watched Yinsen running out of the cave. "Yinsen! Yinsen!"

[91%]

Tony stared at the progress bar move while Yinsen aimlessly shot at the cave walls as he ran, scaring the men. Yinsen killed many men but was stopped at the mouth of the cave by a group of men.

[100%]

The progress bar finished loading, causing the lights to dim, and the suit to be powered up. A lot of men swarm inside with guns in hand and start shooting at Tony, but their bullets get deflected by his suit. Tony had enough of their shit, so he attacked them using the suit, killing each and every one of them before he made his way out of the cave while attacking more men. As Tony got up to the mouth of the cave, he spotted Raza, that fucker.

But Tony couldn't focus on him. no. Tony couldn't, his attention was swept by the bloody figure of Yinsen. He'd been shot. Tony's eyes flared up in anger.

"Yinsen!" he shouted, running up to the man.

"Watch out!" Yinsen cautioned as Raza tried to shoot at Tony. Keyword tried. The fucker couldn't even aim properly, and he missed Tony. Tony, however, had had enough. He took aim at Raza and shot back, hitting the wall behind Raza, which subsequently caused a mini explosion. The explosion erupted, knocking Raza out.

"Come on," Tony said, walking up to Yinsen as he opened the helmet. "We got to go. Move for me, come on." Tony stared at Yinsen. "We got a plan. We're gonna stick to it."

"This was always the plan, Stark." Yinsen wheezed out.

Tony didn't like the sound of that.

"Come on, you're gonna go see your family. Get up." Tony growled, causing Yinsen to smile.

"My family is dead. I'm going to see them now, Stark. It's okay. I want this. I want this." Yinsen whispered.

"Thank you for saving me." Tony lowered his head.

"Don't waste it. Don't waste your life." Yinsen's words hit Tony hard as he watched life seep out of Yinsen's eyes.

Tony stared at his newly-found friend, and couldn't help but get angry. Enraged. He heard a commotion at the mouth of the cave and got up to look at what it was; more men, who shot at him. Honestly speaking, it was getting old for Tony. He was getting bored with all this.

As the men took shots at him-which were totally ineffective, by the way-Tony only spoke two words, "My turn." And hell broke loose

Tony raised his hand, and flamethrower-which he'd attached to the suit-came out, and started spewing fire at the men and their camp. The men, however, didn't relent and continued to shoot at him, causing some damage to the suit. After noticing the damage his suit was receiving, Tony killed a few more men before Tony flipped a button on his suit and flew up in the air akin to a rocket.

He started breathing erratically before the fuel runs out and he fell hard into the sand on the other side of the mountains. The suit broke apart, and Tony ruffled out of the sand, huffing.

"Not bad," Tony muttered, falling back into the sand to catch his breath and get some small rest before started wandering through the desert, exhausted. Just when he was about to collapse, Tony heard the sounds of helicopters.

Adrenaline rushed through his veins as he looked up, and smirked.

"Hey!" Tony shouted, waving at the helicopters. "Hey!"

Peter yawned, typing at the keyboard at a fast speed. His eyelids were drooped over his eyelids, and he was extremely bored and tired of typing code for hours upon hours-but what could he do? This was important, or he'd die otherwise. Probably.

As he was typing continuously, without a break-since his body didn't really desire one-, a notification on his phone made him stop. He looked down, his phone was set to inform him of any big kind of breaking news, and it seemed that something big had happened that his phone buzzed.

So, he quickly looked over the notification, which caused his eyes to widen slightly, but only for a jiffy before he turned to his computer and typed for a bit. And just in a few seconds, live footage on a conference was being broadcasted on his pc.

"Hey, would it be all right if everyone sat down?" said Tony Stark, sitting down in front of the podium. "Why don't you just sit down? That way you can see me, and I can… A little less formal and…" he took a bite of his cheeseburger as every sat down on the ground, taking notes of his every action.

Peter chuckled; this was the same scene he remembered seeing in [Iron-Man]. though this scene also had some implications.

"Good to see you." Tony said, copied by Obadiah Stane. "I never got to say goodbye to Dad. I never got to say goodbye to my father. There's questions that I would have asked him. I would have asked him how he felt about what this company did. If he was conflicted, if he ever had doubts. Or maybe he was every inch the man we all remember from the newsreels. I saw young Americans killed by the very weapons I created to defend them and protect them. And I saw that I had become part of a system that is comfortable with zero accountability."

"Mr. Stark!" a reporter called out.

"Hey, Ben."

"What happened over there?" Ben asked.

"I had my eyes opened," Tony said solemnly, standing up before he moved behind the podium. "I came to realize that I have more to offer this world than just making things that blow up. And that is why, effective immediately, I am shutting down the weapons manufacturing division of Stark International until such a time as I can decide what the future of the company will be."

There was quite a commotion caused by Tony's words, and Obadiah quickly stood up, moving beside Tony. "I think we're gonna be selling a lot of newspapers."

Ignoring Stane, Tony continued talking. "What direction it should take, one that I'm comfortable with and is consistent with the highest good for this country, as well." Saying so, Tony walked off stage.

Obadiah's face was something to look at, and Peter even chuckled as the old coot came up and tried to calm the situation by diverting everyone's attention.

"What we should take away from this is that Tony's back! And he's healthier than ever…"

Peter closed the window; he wasn't going to listen to Obadiah's farce. Peter leaned back on his chair as he rubbed his eyes. [Iron Man] was coming, and it was coming fast. Peter was stumped by it a bit, as it indicated the start of the changes taking place on Earth. Changes that would give Peter a headache. He was also more than annoyed at the fact that the timeline, too, was fucked up beyond prediction.

For one, Tony had been kidnapped way early than in the movies, more so, he'd come out early too. Peter sighed; this only meant opportunities for him, at least. He could steal some tech or something. He didn't really know what he was supposed to do here.

And this is only the start too.

Peter hunched back into the chair, worried for his loved ones.

Maybe it was time to start training Gwen? Sure, she was pregnant, but she was a spider, and learning about her powers and their use in-depth would only help her further. She could protect herself if he wasn't there. Peter needed to learn some protective spells too; he'd place them on everyone he was close to. Just like he'd placed mind protection spells on them.

So much to do.

Chapter 48

48: Trust

- More than a week later -

Peter had been quite busy lately that he had no time for his girls. He was training with Silver, making some programs, and apps-smaller ones-so that he could earn money, and was totally busy in stalking Tony Stark. No, it was definitely not the bad kind of stalking, Peter had a reason as to why he wanted to stalk Tony.

They needed to meet.

Not 'they', actually, but Peter needed to meet Tony, not as Peter Parker, but as Spider-Man.

Why? Simple, if Peter Parker couldn't get connections with the 'big' people of the world, Spider-Man could, easily. And Tony was one of those 'big' people that could turn out to be beneficial for Peter.

Especially in this earlier phase of his planes.

So, Peter had surfing around the internet to look for a certain place where he remember Tony would attend. And it seemed that it was time, today was the day Tony would attend that 'thing' Peter had forgotten. Come on, how could he remember every little detail there is in the movies?

Anyways, It seemed that Peter didn't really need to search it up, or look for it as the news on the TV was more than helpful enough. Though Peter felt quite disheartened that his hard work didn't pay in the end and that he received the information from some third-party TV news channel.

-"Tonight's red-hot red carpet is right here at the Disney Concert Hall, where Tony Stark's third annual benefit for the Firefighter's Family Fund has become the place to be for L.A.'s high society."-

Right, so he has a location now. Good.

- Later in the evening -

Tony Stark was staring at a picture that contained the bodies of dead civilians in a desert town, alongside tons of Stark Industries' weaponry. Tony gritted his teeth.

"When was this taken?" He demanded to the woman who'd suddenly come up to him and started flirting before shifting to a more serious conversation, ultimately ending in throwing accusations at him and showing him this picture.

"These pictures were taken yesterday, In It's a town called Gulmira. Heard of it?" The woman, Christine Everhart, said.

"I…" Tony was at a loss for words. He'd decided to crash at his own party, but this was one of the last things on his mind when coming here today. Civilians' death, because of his weapons. Tony wasn't sure how this happened. He hadn't approved any-any!-shipment recently.

"I didn't approve any shipment!" Tony growled slightly, his nose scrunching.

"Well," Christine spoke up, taking the picture back from his hands. "It seems your company did." Saying so, she left, leaving Start in his mind, thinking of who could've approved the shipments.

He wasn't naïve. He knew there were things going on in his back, and he was being kept in the dark. Someone close to him in the company had betrayed him, surely, but the glaring question that remained behind was: who?

"Please, do you mind?" Obadiah Stane sounded, snapping Tony out of his thoughts. Tony's heart skipped a beat as he looked at Stane. His face paled a little. No. it couldn't be Stane… right?

"Obie," Tony said. "What's going on in Gulmira?" Tony had had enough of this bullshit; he needed answers, and he needed them now.

"Tony, Tony. You can't afford to be this naive." Stane smirked slightly, and Tony's suspicions turned out to be correct. He was shocked, sure, but he was disappointed more than anything else. And… he lost trust. Could he even trust people from now on? If even Obie…

"You know what? I was naive before, when they said, "Here's the line. We don't cross it. This is how we do business." If we're double-dealing under the table… Are we?" Tony smiled, though it had a certain chill to it. A chill Stane missed to notice.

"Tony, your picture, please!" A reporter shouted, and Stane forced him to take a picture with him by putting his arm over Tony's shoulder.

"Let's take a picture. Come on. Picture time! Tony. Who do you think locked you out? I was the one who filed the injunction against you. It was the only way I could protect you." Stane said condescendingly, sneering, though it appeared as a smile in the picture. as the picture was taken. Tony didn't say a word.

Though he did call bullshit. Protect him? Tony wasn't naïve now that he'd had a reality check. No one… was trustworthy. No one but himself. Stane left after he was done saying stuff, and Tony was left to ponder over many things. He had shit to do, didn't he?

Tony sighed, and stormed to his car, closing the door as he got in. Tony hit the accelerator, hard, and his car roared to life before Tony sped up toward his home. He didn't notice the figure sitting in the back seat, how could he? The figure was hidden by an invisibility spell along with a feature to hide from cameras, after all.

It was Peter, of course. He was in his suit. And teleporting inside Tony's car once he arrived and saw it wasn't really that big a problem. He could've talked with Tony at this event, but Peter didn't, considering the fact that he'd have a moment with Pepper, and learn of Stane's betrayal.

Peter could've told Tony about the betrayal himself, but he knew that learning from the guy himself would be better for Tony, since trusting the words of the man himself would have more weight than a masked vigilante.

As the car stopped in front of Tony's house with a screeching halt, the news about the incident in Gulmira was being broadcasted on the T.V. that Tony had left on. Oh, Tony wasn't alerted of any intruder, since, well, Peter was under an invisibility spell along with his suit's camera function.

Peter was sure that this feature didn't only hide him from the cameras, but heat sensors and some other shit too-though he had yet to test this out.

-"The 15-mile hike to the outskirts of Gulmira can only be described as a descent into hell, into a modern-day Heart of Darkness. Simple farmers and herders from peaceful villages have been driven from their homes, displaced from their lands by warlords emboldened by a new-found power."-

Tony stopped to listen to the news, listen to the destruction his weapons caused, used by the wrong hands.

-"Villagers have been forced to take shelter in whatever crude dwellings they can find in the ruins of other villages, or here in the remnants of an old Soviet smelting plant. Recent violence has been attributed to a group of foreign fighters referred to by locals as the Ten Rings. As you can see, these men are heavily armed and on a mission. A mission that could prove fatal to anyone who stands in their way. With no political will or international pressure, there's very little hope for these refugees."-

Tony clenched his teeth as the footage kept flickering.

-"Around me, a woman begging for news on her husband, who was kidnapped by insurgents, either forced to join their militia. Desperate refugees clutch yellowed photographs, holding them up to anyone who will stop. A child's simple question, "Where are my mother and father?" There's very little hope for these refugees, refugees who can only wonder who, if anyone, will help."-

"Jarvis," Tony called, taking a deep breath to calm himself.

["Yes, sir?"] a charming British voice sounded.

"How long…" Tony stared at the fire on the TV, "How long till my suit is ready?"

"2 hours and 25 minutes, sir," Jarvis answered.

Tony sighed in annoyance, slumping down on a sofa as he turned the T.V. off, not being able to watch the carnage unfolding anymore.

"You seem to have quite the bad day." A deep voice sounded, startling the ever-living shit out of Tony as he bolted up to look at who it was.

"Spider-Man!?" Tony exclaimed. He, of course, knew who Spider-Man was. Tony knew when he popped up out of nowhere and started saving people. Tony had even tried finding out who it was, but he couldn't find anything.

"Hmmm." Peter hummed, trying his best to emulate Batman's voice with the "?" voice modulator.

"How did you get in? Jarvis? How did he get in?!"

["Who, or what are you talking about, sir? You seem to be talking to the air in the footage I'm processing."]

"Oh, let me help with that," Spider-Man said.

["I see the vigilante known as Spider-Man come into view out of nowhere, sir. Should I initiate the emergency protocols?"]

"Calm down Jarvis," Spider-Man said. "I'm just here to talk."

"Okay?" Tony drawled, confused. Why would Spider-Man want to talk with him?

"So, Tony," Spider-Man said, and propped one leg above the other as he sat on the sofa opposite Tony Stark, leisurely. "I heard you had a hand in what happened in Gulmira."

Tony snorted, "I fail to see if that should be any of your concern."

"Oh, believe me, Tony, It is very well my concern," Spider-Man said, his voice tone going a tone harsher. "Now, if you would tell me if you have a hand?"

"No, I do not!" Tony growled.

"Your company's weapons were found on sight, Tony." Spider-Man dropped any and every formality. "Someone ought to have approved that big a shipment."

"I did not!"

"Well, someone did."

"And I will find who it is," Tony said resolutely.

"You finding the perpetrator does not equate the lives lost due to your weapons, Stark," Spider-Man said, his words piercing Tony like a hot knife.

Tony wanted to retort, but couldn't, so he just slumped back into the sofa.

"W-what am I supposed to do then? You're supposed to be a hero, right? Tell me what I can do then!"

Peter just stared at the riled-up man in front of him, frowning under his mask. Something… something was different. Tony had reacted similarly in the movies, sure, but he was a bit too riled up right now. Did something happen? Something that wasn't supposed to happen but did due to the ripple caused by Peter? But Peter hadn't made any big changes yet.

Peter sighed, and instructed Jarvis. "Turn on the TV, please, Jarvis?"

Jarvis didn't answer, but the TV turned on since Jarvis didn't see any danger to Stark's life by doing so, and because it was a simple command. On the TV, bombs were being thrown In a certain place, and the scene was filled with carnage.

"What do you think you should do? Fix the mess caused by your weapons, I'd say."

"But how?"

"Figure that out yourself," Peter said and stood up. "And hit me up when you figure it out, I'll help you in any way possible. Now, if you'll excuse me." Saying so, he left, leaving Tony alone to ponder over stuff.

Peter wasn't sure how big a change this little talk of his would cause, but he didn't care about the change caused by it, he just wanted to get introductions done with Stark so that he'd contact him once he was officially Iron Man, a superhero.

Peter had many plans that involved Iron Man, or more specifically, Tony Stark, after all, and he could use this person quite a lot to complete some of his important projects.

- back when Tony Escaped the cave -

Men of the Ten Rings were searching the desert in look out for Tony Stark. The fucker had managed to escape their grasp.

A particular man, with a distinct face that was half burned, quite badly so, squatted down, staring at the left-behind parts of the suit Tony Stark had used to escape the cave.

Raza, the leader of the Ten Rings, picked up a piece of metal from the sand. His burned face hurt, but he couldn't help but smirk when he saw that it was the broken-off face mask of the suit Tony used to escape.
