Mad Monk and Sword Emperor

VanKcrow went near the cabin and knocked at the door,after a little over a minute went by with no answer,he pushed the door lightly and it opened.

Stepping inside the Cabin,he was met with the sight of a corpse,a corpse dressed in monk like clothing and in pristine condition, enough that one would think it wasn't actually a corpse,if not for the hole in its chest.

Aside from the corpse, it's equipments and the chair in which it rested,there was nothing else.

As VanKcrow was looking at the corpse, something strange happened,the corpse moved its fingers a little, VanKcrow immediately rushed towards it and was about to strike when he suddenly found himself unable to move.

After a while, the cabin lit up and an elderly sounding voice echoed throughout the cabin.

"You have entered the domain of Martial Arts,all forms of weapon combat are prohibited.Eye gouges,biting and strikes to private areas and the back of the head are prohibited."

"Commence battle."

As soon as the voice had finished speaking, VanKcrow was able to move again,He dropped his weapons to the ground and the Corpse dropped its golden staff.

The corpse got up and assumed an Orthodox stance,its stance resembled a Muay Thai stance.

In response, VanKcrow assumed a Southpaw stance,His stance was also similar to a Muay Thai one, except his stance was a little bit wider.

The two of them faced off for a couple of seconds before VanKcrow approached the Corpse,He performed a kick to the opponent's calf ,but the corpse brought it's foot backwards before front kicking in direction of VanKcrow's knee, VanKcrow moved his right leg to the left barely avoiding the kick and then brought his rear foot forwards,he then made a shift to increase his power and punched straight in direction of the Monk's jaw,the monk brought it's elbow to meet The attack and VanKcrow pulled back his punch before moving a bit forward and performing a hook punch towards his opponent's jaw which the monk avoided by moving his head backwards,the monk then countered by grabbing VanKcrow's hand and then performing a cross punch with its right hand, VanKcrow barely managed to grab the Monk's wrists and then kneed him in the liver,the monk stumbled a bit and then grabbed VanKcrow's Left leg before performing a single leg take down,the monk was now above VanKcrow,before the monk could get into an advantageous position VanKcrow immediately used his knowledge of Grappling to get back to his feet,The monk was quite a bit larger than him at around 185 or so cm and probably around 95 kg while VanKcrow was about 172 cm and 84 kg.

VanKcrow could not afford to let their battle turn into grappling due to him being lighter.

As the two of them got back to their feet, VanKcrow went near the Monk and ducked to avoid a punch,he then pressed his shoulder to his opponent's shoulder,this was done to cut off space for the opponent's attack from that same side, resulting in the Monk's offense being limited.

VanKcrow then performed a mixture of a hook and a uppercut and hit the Monk straight in the head,the monk stumbled backwards a little and VanKcrow took the chance to consecutively kick him in his right knee,he then moved laterally to the point that he shifted both his stance and the opponent's stance, VanKcrow was ambidextrous so he could fight perfectly both in Southpaw and Orthodox.

The monk however, didn't seem to have that same ability, taking advantage of this, VanKcrow pressed on and managed to overwhelm the opponent for a couple of seconds before the monk performed an elbow strike that he had to dodge by falling back, however he still kept a foot forward and therefore was able to quickly close the distance back and placed his hand on the Monk's forearms and moved forwards before landing a punch to his opponent's jaw,this punch seemed to finally take down the monk who fell down to the ground.

After a while the voice from before echoed,"You have defeated the Mad Monk Li Han,You may now advance to the next level."

As soon as the voice said this,the wooden floor VanKcrow was in suddenly disappeared and he fell down.

VanKcrow Stood back up and looked around to find himself in a white hall with red curtains.

It had a regal design as if belonged to a sacred palace and yet also a demonic tint to it,The pavement looked to be made of white marble,the ceiling was white in color and full of paintings resembling some sort of religious art ,There were white pillars full of gold lines and carvings, bookshelves of scarlet color holding numerous books,a variety of doors leading to who knows where,a red carpet on the floor that went from the door way of the gate to the end of the hall where there appeared to be a throne of swords,all black with silver carvings and a crown of bones at the top of the head of a skeleton atop the throne.

Around the throne in the right left and behind it was a pool of blood and countless skulls.

The voice echoed again"You have stepped in the domain of the Blades,The only weapon allowed is a single blade."

After the voice spoke, something strange happened again.

A white mist enveloped the throne and when it disappeared...

The skeleton in the throne was not just a skeleton anymore,it looked more like a zombie with pale eyes and shoulder length blonde hair only to the right side,it was wearing a long white robe similar to his own over its somewhat minced flesh,the zombie was quite tall at a height of probably between 198 and 202 cm and most of all it was looking right at him.

VanKcrow held his sword which he had just picked up and prepared for combat,he did not wait long before the zombie which now had the appearance of a extremely handsome man in his late 20's or early thirties got up from the throne and took a sword out from his back,the sword looked very simple,unlike the flying skulls surrounding the man.

The man took calm steps towards kcrow and pointed his weapon at him,as if challenging him to a duel.Right afterwards all the doors in the library opened while the man simply stood silently waiting, and as to what he was waiting for Kcrow had already made a theory.

'He is challenging me to a duel and a I can either accept or flee towards the gates'

As for the decision VanKcrow made,He pointed his sword at the man,and charged forward.

The moment VanKcrow had reached striking distance of the man's sword he extended his own blade forwards ,shifted his body sideways and jumped forwards to the left side of his enemy with the goal of getting close enough to cut his neck however the man's sword came forwards to meet his while he moved to VanKcrow's left side and they both reached a stalemate,entering a bind in which both soldiers were trying to find the superior position for their weapons,such attempts were unsuccessful however leading to them disengaging.

After the first move they both seemed to get an idea of the opponents level and realized that this battle would probably not be an easy one.

VanKcrow again attacked but Ronaken attacked the weak point of his blade and shifted his sword forward to the left before going for an attack of his own which in turn kcrow blocked by extending the upper lower part of his blade to the left while shifting sideways to the left and attacked Ronaken knees with a front kick before backing away immediately,Ronaken who had not expected such a move was caught by surprise and showed an slightly interested look.

Ronaken turned his body over into a position were his right hip was pointed towards VanKcrow and pushed his legs back slightly,while looking at Ronaken's actions Kcrow made a guess about what he was doing.

'Is he attempting to use his longer reach to keep me at bay?,if that's the case I must press on even more'

Instead of focusing in Ronaken's body Vankcrow now switched his target to Ronaken's hand and arms,this was not unnoticed by Ronaken who started taking the same approach.Ronaken performed a thrust towards VanKcrow's head but Kcrow parried with the lower upper part of his blade and attempted his own thrust towards Ronaken which was parried by an offhand,VanKcrow did not retrieve his blade and instead performed a small slash towards the hand which barely landed and left a cut on Ronaken's palms,

And yet he himself also suffered a slight cut in his left tigh.

The both of them retreated and analyzed the other for a few seconds before they again engaged in battle,this time with VanKcrow employing a cutting motion towards Ronaken's right side but changed it midway into a thrust that Ronaken blocked by attacking the blade which only had structure towards him sideways to the left,VanKcrow fell back and pulled his blade towards him.

Ronaken attempted to strike at VanKcrow's head but he was parried by the weak point of Kcrow's sword which he displaced without trouble only to find Kcrow's head was now sideways to his blade and in the direction of his right shoulder, and right after VanKcrow took advantage of the fact that Ronaken's attack had powered up his own to launch his strike forwards after disengaging with the enemies blade with a downwards movement and bringing his own up to the left,the strike proved itself deadly as it pierced Ronaken's throat and the duel had ended.

As Ronaken fell to the ground he did not look dejected and instead looked relieved,as if freed from a curse.
