He had only done that due to his dislike for him and knew that Yaggent's words were truthful,that random student was surprisingly capable.

VanKcrow was currently completely still within the mass of darkness,the wraps he had on his hands were gone and a dark shadowy matter in the form of a clawed gauntlet found itself in both of his arms.

It reached until his elbows where it diverged into countless curved threads that reached his biceps.

His face was completely white except for two thin lines in the shape of a lightning bolt that were present around his cheekbones.

His eyes were shining bright red and two black wings found themselves on his back.

His feet were now black and had the shape of a lion's or a tiger's feet.

His hair was completely white and slow and raspy sounding breaths slowly came out of him,his heartbeats and breathing were loudly echoing outside the mass of darkness.

From outside, Yoggot was feeling quite tense,the erratic sounding heartbeats and creepy breathing made him quite nervous,it almost felt like if a monster was whitin the mass of Darkness.

'what exactly is going on?,The Ocean still hasn't come out and that guy seems to still be alive, Although,I don't even know if a living being can produce those strange heartbeats...

I have a bad feeling about this...'

Previously,Yoggot had felt somewhat humiliated at the fact that he only managed to beat Zetten due to the opponent's own carelessness.

Therefore upon spotting someone who looked to be strong,he saw A chance to at least somewhat release his pent up grievances, however,it seems he might have bitten more than he could chew...

Things started going wrong for him the moment he failed to consume Vankcrow's soul with black rest.

Because of that,his revival ability wasn't recharged,yoggot's revival was extremely powerful but it wasn't unlimited.

He could only revive in case he was assassinated and after that he would need to kill the person who killed him for the revival to recharge itself.

He had only allowed himself to be killed by Vankcrow once because he had been certain he would be able to defeat VanKcrow with black rest,yet that didn't happen and therefore he had to fight VanKcrow without the possibility of revival.
