Chapter 63: Bellamy Underestimated

"Behehehe! Doffy, looks like someone burned our shipment to a crisp!"

Within a lavish palace, an exceptionally slovenly, large man delivered the latest intelligence report to Doflamingo.

"A shipment? Which shipment?" Doflamingo didn't flare up in anger at the news that someone dared touch his merchandise; instead, a flicker of interest sparked towards this audacious individual.

"Hehehehe, it was Red Flame in the North Blue. You know, that fat guy? Even fatter than me," Trebol reported, puffing out his greasy stomach. A couple of strands of perpetual snot hanging from his nose accidentally stuck to his belly.

Disgusted expressions bloomed on the faces of everyone else present.

"Trebol, you're as repulsive as ever," grumbled a stout man clad in samurai armor, unable to hold his tongue.

Trebol paid him no mind, his face twisting into a mocking grin as he laughed louder. "You know, Pica? Your voice sounds like a kid who hasn't hit puberty yet."

"Like you're still suckling milk, behehehe!" As the disgusting man cackled, he slurped the snot clinging to his stomach back up his nose.

That remark struck Pica's deepest insecurity. The giant, nearly five meters tall, slammed his fist down, shattering the table before him as he shot to his feet. "You looking for a fight, bastard?!"

"Take it outside if you want to fight, Pica," Doflamingo drawled, lounging lazily on his throne, utterly indifferent to the squabbles among his subordinates. "Now, quiet down. Who's going to handle this North Blue incident?"

"Someone dared to interfere with Doffy's interests. Unforgivable!" Diamante, Doflamingo's most loyal 'hound', couldn't tolerate anyone harming his master's affairs.

"Hehehehe, I'll go," Trebol volunteered after another round of repulsive laughter, seeing that no one else was paying him any attention. "That guy's kinda interesting."

"Seems like he really looks up to you, Doffy, hehehehe."

"Burning our shipment this time... maybe he just wanted to get your attention, eh?"

Trebol's speculation indeed piqued Doflamingo's interest again. "Oh? Now I remember."

"Wasn't there some piece of trash in the North Blue called 'The Hyena'? Always wanting to join my crew."

Doflamingo vaguely recalled seeing the punk once, but the memory had quickly faded.

"Fuffuffuffu."

"Well then, let's give him a little test."

He burned several hundred million Berries worth of my goods... he'll just have to earn back much more than that for me.

Trebol, intimately familiar with Doflamingo's nature, immediately understood the implication behind the word "test."

"I understand, Doffy. I'll be sure to 'educate' him properly."

From beginning to end, none of these top executives ever considered the possibility that Bellamy might resist.

Even the news that Bellamy had killed Red Flame didn't raise any alarms among them.

Perhaps they didn't know, or perhaps they simply couldn't be bothered to know, that Bellamy had been desperately searching for any old pirate who understood how to train Armament Haki.

Trebol had been the user of the Stick-Stick Fruit for thirty-one years.

Ever since the Donquixote Family had taken Dressrosa, he had firmly established himself in the New World.

In the New World, practically everyone knew a thing or two about Armament Haki. It was impossible that Trebol wouldn't know how to train it.

If Trebol dared to show his face before Bellamy... well, what might happen then was anyone's guess.

"Land in sight!" Bellamy lowered his spyglass, casually stretching his limbs.

"Lower a small boat. I'm going ashore alone for a look around."

"You all drop anchor here and wait for me."

After sailing for half a month, they had finally returned to Minion Island.

Bellamy didn't plan on bringing anyone with him this time.

He was just going to deal with a few potential problems, then return immediately.

Currently, the Sea Shark was still about ten nautical miles away from Minion Island.

Sailing the rest of the way would take roughly two or three hours.

Bellamy had initially considered using Moon Walk to get there, but thinking about the possibility of combat, he discarded the idea.

Moon Walk consumed too much stamina, especially when used continuously.

Despite the seemingly short distance of ten nautical miles, if he tried to fly the whole way using Moon Walk without any chance to rest, his stamina would likely be completely depleted.

Enough time had passed now. The news that they had wiped out the Red Flame Pirates and burned all their goods should have spread.

Those corrupt Marines back on the island might even have an ambush waiting for him.

Although he'd never really considered those guys a threat, they weren't his only potential enemies.

Soon, a small boat was lowered from the ship.

Under Muret's worried gaze, the small boat quickly shrank into a black dot on the horizon and disappeared from view.

"Alright, don't worry so much," Mia murmured comfortingly beside her, though her own eyes held a clear trace of concern.

"Your brother's practically invisible; who'd bother going after him?"

After all, Mia thought, the kid lives at the martial arts hall.

If someone was looking to cause trouble for Bellamy, the martial arts hall would be an obvious place to check. What might happen then was uncertain.

Bellamy's purpose in returning this time was precisely to bring Muret's brother back.

If anything happened to that kid, Muret would undoubtedly fall apart.

Bellamy naturally found such potential liabilities irritating.

But this was his crewmate's family. No matter how troublesome, as captain, he had a responsibility to protect them.

If he couldn't even protect his subordinates' families, how could he expect loyalty from his crew?

Handle this well, and he'd gain a devoted subordinate.

If something happened to the boy, his ship's doctor would surely become estranged.

Who didn't want loyal crewmates?

Therefore, Bellamy was taking this matter very seriously.

The small boat sliced through the water at high speed, propelled by Bellamy's furious rowing with two oars.

In less than an hour, Minion Island loomed large before him.

Dragging the small boat ashore, he tied it securely to a large tree with a rope. Then, with a powerful leap, Bellamy launched himself into the air.

Found it.

He had landed not far from the town, and spotting the cluster of buildings from the air was easy.

Using Moon Walk, Bellamy rapidly kicked his way through the sky, heading straight for the martial arts hall.
