Chapter 6: Unexcpected Invitation

I explained what happened to Levi, who surprisingly wasn't as shocked as I expected. Maybe he knows me too well.

"Isn't that a bit too far?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Nah, don't worry about it," I replied, lifting my eyebrows playfully. "Everything's under control."

"Alright, if you say so."

"Just trust—" I was cut off by the phone ringing.

"Lena, and a white heart," Levi read, grabbing my phone from the desk and tossing it back to me. "Why's the name like that?"

"Hi, Lena."

"Hey, why's the name like that, you moron?" Levi whispered.

"Hi, Felix! I convinced Yvonne," Lena said through the phone.

"Convinced her to do what?" I asked, curiosity piqued.

"To eat dinner somewhere together."

"Oh, really? You're unbelievable!" I exclaimed.

"Ask her if I can come," Levi urged.

"Hey—" I started to ask, but Lena interrupted.

"Yes, Levi, you can come too!" She chuckled.

"Thank you!" Levi cheered and rushed to get ready. He paused at the door, a puzzled look crossing his face. "Wait, how does she know my name?"

"Will Yvonne be okay with that?" I asked.

"I think it'll be better, actually; she's just so stubborn."

"Alright, where and when?" I pressed.

"Well, yesterday we ate at a pizzeria near our school. I'll send you the address. I was thinking tonight at 8:30."

"So one hour from now?" I clarified, surprised.

"Yeah," she replied, a hint of embarrassment in her voice.

"That's fantastic!" I yelled, excitement bubbling over.

"Hahaha, alright then, see you there!"

"See you!"

As soon as she hung up, Levi burst out of his room, trying on different clothes and styling his hair.

"Why are you getting ready?" I asked, puzzled.

"What do you mean?" he replied, confusion etching his face.

"She never said tonight," I joked.

"Oh my god, what was I thinking? When is it?" he asked, panic rising.

"I'm just kidding. She said to be there at 8:30 tonight."

"Oh thank god! Don't do that, dumbass; I thought all my effort went to waste." He paused. "Are you going to get ready?"

"Hell nah."

"I always forget you're this weird. What are you going to do now anyway?"

"Nihil, nothing in particular."
