REBELLION OF THE HEART

Listening to all what she had said, Almond sighed and said; Indeed you still don't want anything to this marriage, I guess you still don't know there's no way out in this, as we're presently discussing this here, believe me your parents are with my grandfather talking about the wedding preparations and how to go about the event, Your parents already said you won't easily agree even if it meant given you a thousand year to prepare, they claim to not know what's scaring you and they are getting grey hair worrying about you, a lady who's almost in her thirties should be married already even not given birth but they haven't seen you with any man even if it's a secret relationship, you don't seem to have any at all.

I'll suggest we discuss anything you're not comfortable with for you to be at ease, I understand the fact that this might still feel surreal to you but believe me if I say we can make this work, ours is not the first marriage arranged by family and neither will it be the last, this is reality no matter how outdated this technique seems it is still the go to of our parents anytime any day, so please if not for anything consider the peace your parents will feel knowing you're taken, I mean you're good looking, successful, young and a carrier strong oriented women, you have all what it takes to be with a man, so why ?

Jayden, whom Almond believe to be listening is no longer there with in him in soul, there seems to be so much anger in her as she's faintly trembling and muttering to herself to stay calm and not agitated. Almond took the initiative to ask, hope all is fine ? You seems angry at something ? Did I misspoke ? If so kindly pardon my manner, I only want for us to make this worked.

Jayden dropped the phone she was holding and raised an eyebrow that seems to be burning with flame to swallow Almond up; she's not so unreasonable as to get angry meaninglessly. She just asked her parent's whereabouts from her younger brother only to confirm that Almond is right; she has the unbelievable and scary expression on her face. She didn't want to believe that her parents were in so much of a hurry to marry her off, but the truth is rubbing off on her; they are so hellbent on fulfilling their wish.

After confirming the truth, she raised her head to meet Almond's calm gaze. All that she had in mind to dissuade him from seeing her as a potential candidate all got stuck in her mind. The man's deep calm gaze seems to be saying that whatever decision she made is acceptable to him, though she believes he won't want a no for an answer; he wouldn't want her to turn him down do as not to bruise or make his ego, but Jayden doesn't care anymore. She decided to go along with the flow; at this point, she didn't want to back down no matter what it might result in. She sighed, adjusted her sitting position and revealed a provocative facial expression.

She said, Mr Almond seems quite invested in getting married to a stranger, someone you barely know.' She smiled while saying, Don't tell me you're so in love with my beauty that you can't bear to let me go, although it is true that I'm beautiful, but that doesn't mean you haven't seen countless beauties over the years.

As a proud young CEO of an international enterprise, I believe you can easily get any lady of your choice, either here or abroad; even if you're someone with a weird and fetishistic taste, easily satisfying yourself shouldn't be a challenge, so I'll advise you to have a rethink before making a decision you won't like in the future. Marrying me is not a profitable deal to you right now; it might even be you losing out because I believe you already know I'm not in any way ready to be a married woman tied down with the shackles of marriage and become a caged bird.

If at all my parent has gotten any benefit from you or your grandfather with the promise of marrying me to you, then it must have been because they have a daughter elsewhere! and I promise I haven't heard of such a thing anywhere. Jayden, who has always been calm and reserved, suddenly turned into a proud peacock with no manners. She couldn't wrap her head around the fact that her parents were so hell-bent on it, but they didn't even give her a chance to come back with feedback about whether she's okay with the young man or not before they start preparing a wedding on her behalf. Like, whose loving parents do that? This made her so angry that she didn't even give Almond any chance to say anything else before she proudly picked up her LV bag, raised her head up high and directly walked out on him.
