Since Wu Tian was attached to Medusa's pendant, he somehow found himself floating on the water's surface. Perhaps it was because he was now in soul form after all, he loved drifting around.

Thanks to this, his current line of sight revealed Medusa's unrestrained, flawless figure in its full glory. For a young man full of passion, Wu Tian felt like his soul was transcending to a higher plane!

Her jade like skin seemed sculpted by the heavens, an exquisite masterpiece. Her full and perky uh pride was on display in the slightly cool air.

Her stunning, enchanting face radiated an intoxicating charm. Her mesmerizing, diamond shaped eyes shimmered with a hint of misty allure, while her long purple serpent tail swayed gently in the water, exuding a wild and untamed beauty.

Even though Wu Tian was in soul form, he felt an overwhelming surge of energy rushing through him if he still had a nose, he was sure it would be bleeding by now.

His mind flashed to the fruit platters he loved cherries, peaches, mulberries, bamboo shoots… Wait, why was he thinking about bamboo shoots at a time like this?!

The scene before him was breathtaking, something beyond his wildest imagination. But… none of this had anything to do with becoming her guardian spirit!

If he didn't become her guardian spirit soon, wasn't he going to fade away?!

As he gazed at his now fading, translucent soul form, panic set in.

He wasn't even properly human yet, and he was already about to be wiped out?!

At that moment, something unexpected happened.

He felt himself being lifted.

Medusa had leaped out of the water, her graceful figure soaring like a fish breaking the surface.

Wu Tian froze.

Because for a split second, he was sure he had touched something.

That thing he had been trying so hard to reach… he had just accidentally bumped into it?!

Must've been an illusion.

Yeah, definitely an illusion.

I can't be sure… Maybe I should test it again?

Before he could finish the thought, fate smacked him in the face.

In that instant, his ethereal soul was directly pulled into Medusa's body.

Wu Tian looked through Medusa's body at the surrounding scenery.

It didn't compare at all to the thrilling spectacle he had just witnessed!

However, now that he was inside Medusa, she Queen Medusa, the powerful Dou Huang of the serpent race immediately sensed something was off.

She froze.

Her beautiful, autumn water like eyes widened in shock.

She could distinctly feel a foreign soul entering her body right through her chest, no less.

And it had clearly come from her pendant.

At that moment, an inexplicable connection formed between them, something akin to… a family bond?

What was going on?!

Even as a mighty Dou Huang, Queen Medusa couldn't help but feel a trace of panic at the unfamiliar sensation.

But she quickly regained her composure. Her amethyst eyes flickered with icy sharpness.

"Who's there?! Show yourself before this queen!"

Wow, what a domineering tone. So authoritative!

If not for the fact that she could tell this soul meant no harm and if not for that strange, instinctive familiarity she would have already ordered him to get lost!

Wu Tian, being the obedient guy he was, immediately drifted out of Medusa's body.

Since he had been discovered, there was no point in hiding anymore. Best to face the situation head on!

Now, Wu Tian had taken on a semi humanoid form. Compared to his previous blob like state, this was a massive improvement.

Although his figure was still hazy, he clearly had a masculine silhouette.

Wu Tian floated before Medusa with ease. She, in turn, stood calmly before him.

Since he was a soul, he wasn't affected by the water, so he hovered just above the lake's surface. Meanwhile, Medusa was half submerged, her upper body exposed to the air.

The situation was a little awkward.

Medusa blinked her long eyelashes, seemingly unfazed.

Her main concern wasn't the awkwardness it was figuring out just what Wu Tian was.

Her enchanting purple eyes gleamed coldly as she demanded, "Who are you? Why were you hiding inside this queen's pendant?"

Wu Tian responded calmly, "My name is Wu Tian. I am the Guardian Spirit of the serpent race's queens, passed down through generations."

His words slightly eased Medusa's wariness.

If this soul knew about the pendant's history, then he must have some connection to the serpent queen lineage.

Perhaps they really were… family?

Wu Tian observed the subtle shift in Medusa's expression and silently celebrated.

He had guessed right!

If Medusa never removed her pendant not even while bathing it had to be extremely important to her.

And since she was entirely devoted to the serpent race, this pendant was undoubtedly a part of their legacy likely paired with her royal crown.

Medusa furrowed her elegant brows and questioned, "What exactly is a Guardian Spirit?"

"A Guardian Spirit exists to protect you to ensure no harm comes to you. My purpose is to shield and safeguard you for life," Wu Tian replied nonchalantly.

Medusa's purple eyes scrutinized him from head to toe, doubt flickering in her gaze.

Even her voice carried a hint of skepticism.

"You? Protect me?"

Wu Tian: Mmmmmm…

Feeling awkward, he quickly added, "Of course I can! I am a Guardian Spirit, after all! However, since none of the previous serpent queens ever awakened me, I've lost most of my memories and my power along with them. But I can help you grow stronger, faster!"

"Oh~"

Medusa's luscious lips curved into a teasing smirk.

For a moment, her stunning face radiated an enchanting charm.

A mere smirk, and Wu Tian was instantly mesmerized.

Wu Tian: Can we… maybe change the topic?

Medusa: Nope.
