Arthur and Rebecca couldn't help but exchange surprised glances.
Rebecca leaned closer to Arthur, whispering, "Are you sure you don't want to ask her any questions?"
"No," Kathryn replied, her gaze fixed on a visibly shocked Yvette. A sly smile played on Kathryn's lips.
Knowing Kathryn to be meticulous and careful in all her dealings, Arthur and Rebecca trusted her snap decision to hire Yvette.
Recovering from her initial shock, Yvette practically leaped from her seat, a stark contrast to the composure she'd displayed upon entering the room.
"Thank you, ma'am. I promise to give you my best," she said, delivering a deep bow that further surprised them.
"Go to the thirteenth floor and ask for the Human Resources Manager. She will instruct you on what to do," Rebecca instructed, returning Yvette's file.
With that, the three executives left the room.
The moment they stepped into the private elevator, Kathryn announced, "I'm famished."
"I could literally swallow a whale at this point," she continued, punctuating her complaint with a cute pout. Whenever the three were alone, she readily shed her executive persona, reverting to a childlike demeanor. As the youngest, she seemed to reserve that side of herself for their private moments.
"Same here. Should I order us something?" Rebecca asked.
"I want to eat out, but I need to change at my office first. I'll meet you when I'm done, and we can go together."
"I feel like I'm the third wheel here, seriously," Arthur complained playfully, eliciting peals of laughter from both women.
Seeing the women he loved laugh filled Arthur with happiness. He reached out and gently ruffled their hair.
Kathryn was the first to protest. "Don't ruin my hair!" she exclaimed, pouting.
Arthur responded by playfully pinching her cheeks. "You are so adorable, do you know that?"

Parking her Lamborghini at the underground parking lot, Kimberley gracefully stepped out and entered the Star Corporation building.
She wore a short pink floral dress with delicate shoulder straps, paired with black pumps. Her beautiful, luscious hair was styled in a messy bun, and she shielded her eyes with black sunglasses, a mask covering the lower half of her face.
Even in her simple attire, she was breathtaking, exuding a calm and cool aura.
The mask did little to conceal her identity; people still recognized her and snapped pictures as she made her way to the ground floor reception.
Scanning the interior decor, she was impressed by what she saw.
Kimberley strolled gracefully to the reception desk, removing her mask. Only then did more employees recognize her. They were stunned that the nation's sweetheart had come to their company.
"What could be the reason for her visit?" one employee asked another.
"I don't know, but I can now die a happy man after seeing so much beauty in one day."
"She's even more beautiful in person; the cameras don't do her justice," a female employee purred.
"Excuse me," Kimberley said, smiling gently. "Could you direct me to Kathryn's office?"
Recognizing Kimberley, the receptionist couldn't hide her fascination, staring for a moment before regaining her composure. "You mean President Kathryn's office? Of course, ma'am. But do you have an appointment?"
Kimberley was impressed by the receptionist's professionalism. At least she didn't lose her head like so many people she encountered daily. Smiling, she replied, "No."
"I'll call her office to inform her of your visit," the receptionist said respectfully. "Please have a seat, Miss Kimberley, while I make the call." She punched in a number on the office telephone. "Ma'am, Miss Kimberley Banks is here to see you..." A brief silence followed before the reply: "Send her up."
"You can go up now, ma'am. The top floor," the receptionist said.
"Thank you," Kimberley replied, smiling as she entered the elevator.
As soon as the elevator doors closed, a flurry of questions bombarded the receptionist.
"What's she like?" one asked.
"She seemed really nice and very down-to-earth, I'd say," the receptionist answered.
"How can you tell after just a few minutes?" another employee scoffed.
"Like you said, I conversed with her. Doesn't matter if it's two hours or a minute."
The questions continued for fifteen minutes before the employees dispersed to their sections.
---
The elevator chimed, signaling its arrival at the top floor. Kimberley gracefully stepped out into a spacious hallway, intricately decorated with a feminine touch.
"Nice," she murmured, walking forward.
Turning a corner, she saw a beautiful young woman emerging from an office that appeared to be the president's.
"Could you direct me to the president's office?" Kimberley asked.
"Just a moment," Yvette replied, stepping back into the office. She returned a few seconds later. "You can go in now."
Stepping into the exquisitely decorated office, Kimberley couldn't help but marvel at its beauty.
*Definitely better than my brothers'* she thought.
"You have such a beautiful office," she commented as she strolled towards the couch and made herself comfortable.
"Well, thank you," Kathryn said, smiling slightly at Kimberley's reaction. Surely such décor and design is her normal everyday exposure… Kathryn mused.
"You look pale. Have you had lunch?" Kimberley asked, squinting as she observed Kathryn.
Just then, Rebecca walked in, having changed into a stunning mauve dress that fell just below the knee.
"Well, who do we have here?" she said, smiling.
"Hello to you too, beautiful," Kimberley replied, winking. She was such a chronic flirt! You would think she plays for the home team.
Kathryn sighed inwardly. What a character.
"What brings you to my office, Kim?" Kathryn asked.
"Let's go for lunch, and I'll tell you. I promise."
Kathryn squinted at Kim, considering her offer. Even she was curious to know why Kim had come to Star Corp. They had only met last night, yet she was already acting like they were old friends. Plus, she was an A-list celebrity, a top actress at Zetrov, and the sister of Davin Banks. It would certainly be huge news if reporters got wind of her presence here.
"Sure," Kathryn said.
"I know the perfect place, and it's my treat," Kim said ecstatically.
The three gorgeous women walked out and into the private elevator, which whisked them directly to the underground parking lot.
"We'll take my car," Kathryn announced. Just then, her driver pulled up in a white Rolls Royce.
"Good day, Boss," he greeted, opening the door for them. They climbed in.
"Where to, Boss?" the driver asked as he started the engine.
Kathryn raised an eyebrow at Kim.
"Take us to Ultraviolet," Kimberley directed.
"I've never heard of it," Rebecca said.
"It's our new restaurant. Just opened last week," Kimberley said, fiddling with her phone.
As they passed the entrance of Star Corp on their way to Ultraviolet, they were surprised to see a crowd of reporters.
"Someone clearly knew you were at our company," Rebecca said.
"Imagine my shock," Kathryn teased, causing both women to laugh.
"In my defense, I tried to conceal myself as much as I could with these…" Kimberley said, displaying her face mask and sunglasses. Kathryn and Rebecca burst into laughter.
Seeing Kathryn genuinely relax and enjoy herself in new company warmed Rebecca's heart. She wouldn't mind having Kimberley around, especially since she seemed genuine and fun to be with.
