80. The secret of the Mo clan

After the Athamanas got away from the Mo clan members to free their master, the group split into two. Rather, Razvan left the others to deal with the detainees while he sought out Master Mo. Of course, the boys didn't have to be told twice what to do, they got to work right away. However, it was handled much faster than expected.

It was a bit like those certain captors weren't really concerned about their hostage escaping, but more about saving their own lives. That is why that the team was left with nothing to do after just a few minutes of fighting. Sure, they could have gone after Razvan, but they all knew it wasn't the smartest thing to do. Their leader seemed quite grumpy and it's better not to get under his nose when he is like that.

"The Zovárd's swamp-drenched táltos horse!" Achilleus squealed, making all the team members turn towards him, but the boy only looked at one point, so the team followed his gaze. Close before Achilleus, a young man dressed in brown, typical of the Mo clan, rose from the ground, with a very ugly scowl on his face.

"Next time I'll have to try to land in a different way." He muttered under his breath

"How did you end up here in Athira's wrath?" Benkó asked, but the chán boy didn't even have time to understand the question when the tip of a sword was pressed against his throat.

"Just to make sure you don't move." Came Wandi's harsh voice. The boy swallowed hard as he looked over the team.

"You better answer. The hegins are not the most patient kind of people." Rahul announced, folding his hands in front of him.

"Like you." The chán boy answered, which only managed to get Benkó to step in front of him. A blue flame burned above the hand of the Bokló boy.

"Where did you get hot ice bricks?" He slid his free hand towards the boy, but the boy just rolled his eyes.

"As if you need the brick..." He muttered under his breath, attracting Rahul's attention.

"You can't do it without bricks." Benkó countered, as if he were talking to a madman.

"Of course I can, this is just a simple space-bending field, you just have to find out its parameters and imitate it is child's play." The chán boy snarled. Hearing his words, Benkó slowly lowered his hand, and Wandi lowered his sword, when it was clear that the boy had no intention of running away.

"How did you do it?" Rahul also stepped closer, his curiosity was piqued by this strange turn of events.

"It wasn't that complicated. You called it seven-mile tower. I thought that's a unit of measure, one brick is seven miles, the direction of the bricks means the four heavens, where you pull the vriks out depends on where you are traveling. Your boss pulled bricks from the second level. So the distance was about twice seven miles, the direction clear. After that I just needed something to replace the... What did you call them?" The boy looked at Benkó.

"Hot ice brick." The Bokló boy blinked.

"Yes, those. Honestly, a few tree branches did it." The boy finally shrugged.

"She Tao!" At the sound of the sudden cry, the chán boy pulled himself out.

"Ooo.. I'm going to get told off really bad now." He muttered before turning around and straightening out with a big smile. "Mo shizuin, I'm glad you're safe!" The boy bowed, but as soon as he stood up he received a huge slap. The Athamanas all looked in surprise at the suddenly appearing Master Mo, who was trying to kill one of his clan members with his gaze. Razvan was the only one who watched the incident with only a faint smile.

"What did I tell you about our abilities?" The master asked the question, and the younger boy bowed his head.

"That we don't say anything about it in front of strangers. And I didn't say anything, but shizuin, these are the Athamanas you talked about so much, it's as if they were my shidis and anyway you should have seen how idiotic the others were with bows and swords." The boy explaned.

"I don't want to interrupt, but I think I missed something." Citar raised his hand, with a wide frown on his face.

"You are not alone with it." Rahul remarked.

"They shouldn't have come here. I thought you would found me a long time ago, it's not true that you couldn't have found me." The master grumbled, while the chán student crossed his arms in front of him.

"I could have found you on the first day if I really wanted to." He muttered under his breath.

"What?" Master Mo asked surprised.

"I..." She Tao started, but bit his tongue.

"If you could find me, why didn't you do it?" The master narrowed his eyes, and the Athamanas watched the conversation curiously. The disciple simply spread his arms.

"But it was a test Shizui. If I found you on the first day, no one would have time to think." The boy said confused. "So I let them think, and I..." Here he continued more quietly. "I listened." He shrugged.

"Master Mo, don't scold the boy too much, he could imitate our seven-mile tower, I haven't seen someone who was not a hegin and could imitate it yet." Benkó interrupted.

"He is a member of my clan." The master shrugged his shoulders, when movement was heard from one of the nearby bushes, the Athamanas moved at the same time, when something huge thumped, a man dressed in black fell out of the bushes, and the Mo disciple held a strange weapon in his hand. "I told you that you can only use that in an emergency."

"But it was an emergency master, forgive me for not having time to take out a bow." The boy grumbled.

"Okay, that's enough. Turns out it was all a misunderstanding." Razvan stepped forward. "The master was not kidnapped after all." He declared, then looked up at the sky. "The sun is already very low." He said softly, then turned to Master Mo with a smile. "Would you be offended if you had to spend the night here?" He asked the question, which surprised not only the master, but also the team.

"No, but why?" Mo Ching asked confused.

"Really boss, why? I still have some bricks of cold ice and can get them anytime." Benkó scratched his head, while Razvan just looked away towards the mountains with a faint smile.

"More than a thousand years have passed since I last slept on these lands and saw its stars. Allow me a little nostalgia." He finally said looking at his team. "Does it suit you too young chán?" He glanced at the disciple.

"I can fall asleep even on a tree." He shrugged.

"Well, that won't be necessary." Teveli laughed.

"It's not like there's much room for us to sleep here." The chán boy rolled his eyes, but his face immediately became suspicious when the hegins smiled. "Shizuin, why do they look like that?" The boy turned to his master, who also smiled at him.

"Maybe I should take you to Madüjawr. A little taste wouldn't hurt." He put his hand on the boy's shoulder. "You are talking to hegins She Tao, their villages are made of tents. They can set up a tent faster than you can assemble one of our simplest machines." The master chuckled.

"Boss, we're asking for permission to set up camp!" Citar straightened.

"Permission granted." Razvan smiled, getting the team to get to work right away.

"Go learn how!" Master Mo pushed his student in the back a little.

"Yes, shizuin!" The boy nodded and started following the hegins.

"You look after your clan better than my brother's son look after Madüjawr." Razvan spoke, then shook his head. "You should let them live a little." He looked back at the master, then up at the sky again. "The air is still the same as it was then."

"There are things that never change." Mo Ching agreed with a faint smile on his lips.

"I think you are right." The leader of the Athamanas chuckled.
