After Kamu and Ajtony first met face to face, it didn't take long for the pair to become best friends, even though they mostly only met in the evenings and no one else in the camp even knew that the two boys knew each other. However, this didn't stop the young men from strengthening their friendship and discovering new things together.
However, it wasn't just the younger twin Teike who started making friends during this time. As the years slowly passed in Csito's camp, stranger and stranger figures began to appear around Kele and Keche. Although it had to be noted that even at that time, the only Teike girl preferred to play with Laik than with the other children, mostly older or much younger than her.
Kele, on the other hand, made several friends from several strange families. For example, there was a boy he always hunted with, who was able to summon blue fire around him out of nowhere. Another boy raised a rock wall with a snap of fingers. There were also girls in the circle of friends, some who had learned ghost summoning from the boy's adopted father, but there was one who was able to make a person move with a few movements.
Then there was a girl who, whenever she appeared in the camp, was always so loud that everyone knew that the lady had appeared. Let's say that the fact that she always had a huge lion with her when she played with the others, which could then vanish into nothingness in an instant, played a role in this. However, those traveling with Csito's camp had seen very few soul creature summoners, according to their general, that group usually traveled with two garrisons in front of them.
Even then, this did not prevent the little lady from showing up every now and then and turning the camp upside down. Kamu always tried to sleep a lot on these days to escape the woman's tricks. This was successful in most cases, but when it wasn't, he couldn't bear not having a moment of peace.
However, this didn't discourage the young hegin, who was extremely happy here in the camp of the great Athira's "twin brother". It seemed that he couldn't have been in a better place. His family loved him, the other hegins were kind to him, he had friends. If someone harmed his family or threatened Athira, the favorite of the ghost king, in carrying out his plan, then Kamu made sure that that person could never cause trouble again.
That day, he was on one of those missions. As had become customary by then, he received the appropriate poison from Ajtony, which should hide the real cause of death, and he himself was on his way to the target. This was almost routine, the movements were familiar, the place was known. Kamu would have gone so far as to claim that he could moonwalk with his eyes closed.
Although the boy knew that most people thought of "moonwalking" as a nighttime hunt or raid, Kamu's concept of "moonwalking" had already merged with murder. After all, it was much easier to say that he had been moonwalking if someone asked him where he had been at night than to come up with some excuse to cover up the truth.
So Kamu was on a routine moonwalk when out of nowhere someone grabbed his shoulder. The boy's eyes immediately widened and he instinctively turned around to surprise his attacker with a blow. However, the stranger parried the hegin's attack as easily as if he had known where the danger would come from.
"Calm down! I'm not trying to stop you!" The stranger said, but this only made Kamu even more nervous.
"What..." He was about to ask, but his attacker raised his hand.
"No! No! I don't want anything bad. I know you could kill me and I know you were about to commit a murder." As those words left the other's mouth, Kamu raised his weapon again to do what he had always done best, fight. "I would like you to kill someone for me!" The surprising request interrupted the movement, causing Kamu to slowly lower his weapon and blink at the man suspiciously.
"You want me to kill someone for you?" He asked back, not really understanding the situation.
"Exactly. If this person dies within a week, I am willing to reward you." His attacker pressed a thin leather-like material into Kamu's hand.
"What is this?" The boy squeezed the material.
"Paper, like the scrolls your father uses." The stranger chuckled, then waved and turned away. "I hope you accept the invitation." After saying this, he left the hegin standing there, unable to do anything but sigh.
However, the strange encounter could not stop his routine, so he returned to his original plan, after which he visited Ajtony to discuss the situation with his friend. It must be said that Kamu was not at all surprised when Ajtony immediately wanted to accept the request, but the pair still hesitated until today.
Finally, the situation decided that they would accept the request. Kamu didn't have to think long about killing the target when Ajtony appeared one night with a black spot under his eye, which turned out to be from none other than their potential victim. So the young Teike boy put the unfortunate man away, and their payment for the murder arrived two days later in the form of a bag of gold, which a raven brought to the boys.
"Then he asked us to do a few more murders, always with a black raven. Later, others asked us too. I'll be honest, I don't know how the ravens know who to come to, but they always know who to come to. And that's how our organization was formed." Kamu waved a hand in the present. "So that's it in short." The ghost-man shrugged.
"Hey! You can't stop here! Now comes the best part! What happened next, how are you here?" Citar asked the questions in quick succession and looked desperately at the leader of the Immortal Mist.
"Did the old people never tell you stories? You always have to stop at the best part." The man spread his arms.
"But... " Citar was about to object, when Kamu grinned.
"But you know what I'm having a good day." He patted his knee. "I'll tell you about our organization's first large-scale request." He pulled himself together.
"Since then, the best ones have been the ones that require a lot of preparation." Biaskoncy interrupted.
"Oh, yes they are and this was the first. It was months of hard work, we had to prepare for everything, we couldn't mess anything up." The ghost-man explained, nodding.
"What was the job?" Benkó asked the question, and Kamu grinned and turned to Razvan.
"Killing Athira."
