140. Friendly dinner

The evening came too quickly in Kamu's opinion. It wasn't that he had any problems with his brother, he just didn't feel like having a good time in front of his brothers' friends before what was supposed to be a particularly long day. He wasn't the type to easily get along with others, people usually avoided him and he liked it that way.

The assassin's team was the only ones who didn't keep a four-step distance from him. Maybe that was also the reason why Kamu spent more and more time with them instead of with his siblings. Well, it wasn't like he would admit it, there was no question of it, but there are undeniable things in the world and this was one of them.

That evening, Kamu, who was already a young man at the time, and Kele, also dressed in green and blue clothes, went to a yurt on the edge of the camp to meet the friends of the older half of the twins for that particular dinner.

"Come on! I don't want to drag you." Kele rolled his eyes when Kamu fell behind him again and again. "If I didn't know you, I would think you wanted me to leave you." If he was honest, Kamu did stay behind, with the aim of getting away from the not-so-pleasant event, but what could he do, his brother was watching him too closely.

"Come on, I don't want you to leave me. My leg just hurts, that's all." Kamu shrugged, trying to keep his eyes on the ground so that he wouldn't even look at his brother, lest he realize he was lying. Usually the assassin is good at hiding his emotions from his brother, but that night he was particularly grumpy. And when this is the case, he is not able to keep himself in check. At least according to his other assassin companions and especially Ajtony.

"We are here." Kele stopped and opened one of the yurts. Taking a deep breath, Kamu followed his brother into the pleasant warmth of the yurt from the night cold that was slowly enveloping everything. "We arrived." Although he could only see the back of his brother, Kamu was aware that his brother was smiling broadly at the people in the yurt.

The young assassin's senses were so refined by now that he was immediately aware that there were five people in the yurt besides him and his brother. Three women and two men, all of whom were particularly strong, based on their kí. Which didn't really interest Kamu, who was just thinking about how to get through this whole evening with as little conversation as possible.

"Finally, you're here! We thought you would never shown up, Kele." A familiar voice growled, the owner of which belonged to the lady traveling with the lion creature, who, as always, was grinning broadly at the Teike siblings who had just arrived.

"We tried as best we could, Liza, but my brother sprained his ankle." Kele explained, then stood away from in front of the the young man so that his friends could see him too.

"Ah, he's the famous Camp Groundhog." One of the boys, dressed in blue clothes and sitting right next to the lady named Liza, chuckled.

"I have a name too." The Teike boy standing at the door growled and had to clench his fist before he did something he would later regret. And by regret, he meant that his brother would be angry with him for it. Kamu had a feeling that Kele wouldn't be overjoyed if the assassin just happened to execute his buddies just because they went on his nerves.

"Boikal Zerik." The blue-clad man finally extended his hand, which the younger Teike boy accepted.

"Koál Kamu." He introduced himself politely, but all it did was make everyone blink in surprise, even his brother.

"Aren't you brothers?" The lady with the lion interrupted, pointing first at Kamu, then at Kele.

"Yes, we are." Kamu nodded, not understanding what everyone was up to.

"Okay, explain Kele! Why did you say you were called Teike when he says you share a name with General Csito's scary táltos?" The girl folded her arms in front of her, but her words made Kamu close her eyes in despair.

"Because we are Teike. That's our family name." Kele straightened proudly, then looked at his brother suspiciously.

"Don't look at me like that, brother! I have no problem with our family name. You can call yourself Teike, but I'll stick with Koál, it sounds better to me. And by the way, mom and dad said that they adopted us, so we're a family. If you ask me, it doesn't matter whether we're called Koál or Teike." Kamu explained and shrugged to show that he really didn't care. "So, who am I having dinner with tonight?" He asked suddenly, smiling kindly at the table, as if he had completely lost his mind.

"I'm Ortsuk Liza." The lady with the lion waved.

"I am Zawkaan Szilvia." The lady introduced herself next to Liza, whose eyes were pale peach and black ravens flew in her irises.

"I am glad to meet you." Kamu said.

"Oh! How did you do that?" The girl's eyes widened, and Kamu just smiled.

"What?" The blue-clad Zerik asked.

"His kí bowed to me, but I didn't hear him move." She explained the incident to the others.

"Hm... I don't think the rumors are true. The young lady is not completely blind." Kamu pondered.

"I am not blind. It's just I see nothing except the energies around me." The woman mumbled and turned her head away.

"I apologize, I shouldn't believe everything I hear." Kamu apologized.

"You have to admit, Szilvia, that from the outside you really do look like you're blind. Don't blame the new boy for not knowing everything. I'm Motisz Taksony, by the way." The other unknown man offered his hand, which Kamu accepted.

"And I'm Emese." The last girl introduced herself to Kamu.

"Now that we're done with that. Let's sit down and start eating because I'm hungry as the Fene." Kele clapped his hands and immediately sat down next to Emese, and Kamu sat on the other side of him, so Zerik and Kele were now sitting on either side of the assassin.

"That is what I'm saying too, Kele! I'm starving." Liza yelled and didn't even wait for others to notice, she started eating. "I'm telling you, Emese, your husband and your children will be terribly lucky! I've never eaten as good as when you cook in my life." Liza praised the girl, which made the aforementioned girl blush and wince a little.

"Come on, it's nothing." Emese mumbled. Kamu just sat silently and slowly started to eat. He already knew that he was going to have a really long evening ahead of him. He would have liked to have dissapeared right now, this dinner promised to be horrible.
