Chapter 7

However, I never expected Asher to find me so quickly...

The moment he saw me, Asher's previously lifeless eyes suddenly burst with intense light.

I sat in my wheelchair, retreating as he advanced, until I could back up no more, cornered by him:

"Melody, I've finally found you."

As Asher drew closer step by step, my heart grew increasingly nauseous. In the end, I couldn't help but throw up on him.

Asher was startled by my reaction. To my surprise, he ignored the vomit on the floor and crouched down to look at me with a face full of concern:

"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell? Should I take you to the hospital?"

I disgustedly shook off his hand that had landed on my shoulder, then forcefully pushed him to the ground:

"Don't touch me, you make me sick!"

Asher clearly hadn't expected this reaction from me. His voice was a bit flustered, choked with emotion:

"Do you hate me that much?"

"I know I was wrong."

"If you don't like Scarlett, I won't see her anymore."
