The world of Starborn is built upon a diverse and layered power system that blends science, magic, and cosmic energy. Each faction—humans, aliens, machines, and ancient beings—wields power in different ways, but all stem from fundamental forces that govern the universe.

1️⃣ Celestial Essence (Primary Power Source – Rei's Power)

A mysterious energy force that exists beyond time and space. Only a rare few, called Starborn, can naturally harness it. Capable of reality manipulation, energy attacks, and physical enhancement. Grows stronger based on emotion, willpower, and battle experience. Forbidden knowledge suggests it is linked to ancient cosmic entities.

Stages of Celestial Essence Growth Dormant State – Subconscious activation in moments of crisis.

Awakening – Rei starts controlling small amounts of Essence.

Manifestation – Can create weapons, shields, and energy-based attacks.

Ascendance – Begins altering reality and bending cosmic forces.

??? – Unknown level; legends speak of god-like power.

2️⃣ Ether Manipulation (Magic System of the Universe)

A universal energy field that many species tap into. Divided into elemental magic (fire, ice, lightning, etc.) and advanced magic (spatial warping, necromancy, time distortion). Requires training, runes, or ancient artifacts to wield. The strongest magic users, known as Etherlords, can rewrite physical laws.

3️⃣ Technomancy & Cyber-Augmentation (Machine & AI Power) Some beings merge technology and biology to enhance themselves. AI-controlled warriors use hyper-advanced weaponry, nanotech armor, and hacking-based combat. Machines cannot use Celestial Essence or Ether, but they develop neural processors to counter it.

4️⃣ Genetic Enhancements & Alien Physiology Some races are born with inherent abilities, such as telepathy, super-strength, or shape-shifting. Bio-engineering allows individuals to modify their DNA for increased power.

The Drakenborn race, for example, naturally wields fire-based Ether, while the Nyxians manipulate shadows and illusions.
