chapter 10

Metro stood between heaven and earth, suspended in an endless void of golden clouds and deep, echoing silence. He yelled out, voice trembling with fear and confusion, but all he heard was his own voice bouncing back, echoing into eternity. "Where am I?! Hello?! Can anyone hear me?!" The silence mocked him.

He kept yelling for minutes, maybe hours — time felt meaningless here. Just as his voice began to grow hoarse, the atmosphere around him shifted. A radiant glow poured down from above like the descent of a star, and from it emerged a golden figure of celestial beauty — the Goddess of Creation herself: Purify.

She passed through Metro like mist, unable to see him. He gasped and whispered, "Isn't that... the Goddess of Creation, Purify? I've read about her… but to see her in person... this is unreal."

As she floated through the space, Purify began shaping the cosmos — stars flared into existence from the flick of her fingers, galaxies spun at her breath, and the infinite tapestry of space unfolded like paint on a divine canvas. Metro stood dumbfounded. "So this is how things were created... all of this."

Suddenly, the aura changed. A dark, regal energy crept through the heavens. Another goddess descended, her form as powerful as Purify's but cloaked in shadows — her beauty terrifying and alluring. She was unfamiliar to Metro. "Who... who is she? I haven't read about this one."

Then a voice echoed behind him. "She is the Goddess of Life and Death. Her name is Sara."

Metro turned sharply and saw a figure that looked exactly like him. His eyes narrowed. "You again? What do you want this time? Why bring me here?"

The clone-like figure, Metro's power in human form, smirked. "I didn't."

"Then who did?"

"The Realm Link."

Metro frowned. "What kind of name is that?"

"Focus," his powers said. "Just watch."

Back in the divine realm, Purify and Sara greeted each other with grace. They hovered above creation, gazing at the spiral of galaxies they had just conjured.

"It's been a while, Purify," Sara said with a soft grin.

"It has," Purify replied. "I've missed your company."

"Then why did you leave the Divine Court for so long?"

"I needed solitude. To think. To create."

Sara looked around at the vibrant cosmos. "And you've done more than just think."

They laughed together, floating past supernovae and nebulas, discussing the intricacies of balance in creation, cosmic order, energy alignment, the pull of gravitational fate, and the soul resonance of living things. Their discussion grew deeper.

"These galaxies," Purify said, pointing, "I aligned them with star souls. Every flicker of light will birth a lifeform somewhere in the future."

"You're still fascinated with mortals," Sara noted.

"Aren't you?"

"Not as much as you."

Purify smiled and stared down at a young, green planet. Earth.

"What's troubling you?" Sara asked.

"Have you ever been… bored? Tired of seeing the same divine faces every day, locked in eternity with no change, no uncertainty?"

Sara narrowed her eyes. "No. Eternity is balance. It is peace."

"But isn't peace boring?"

"Are you bored?"

Purify avoided the question. Instead, she asked, "What if we made something on that planet? Something… perfect. Beings in our likeness. Beings who could grow. Learn. Love. Maybe even become divine."

"That's not a good idea," Sara replied sternly. "You know that."

But Purify turned to her with soft, pleading eyes, like a curious child with the heart of the stars. Sara sighed. "Fine. Let's at least observe."

Back to Metro and his power, Metro whispered, "So you brought me here just to see the creation of Earth?"

"You need to see this. You've lived all your life not knowing where you came from. Watching this is important."

Metro crossed his arms. "I thought humans came from monkeys through evolution."

His power groaned. "Surely, I say to you, you're more stupid than you think."

Metro blinked. "Did this little thing just insult me? I own you."

His power rolled his eyes. "And yet you act like a brick with eyes. Just watch."

Back in the divine realm, Purify and Sara descended to Earth. Together they shaped its rivers, mountains, oceans. Trees sprouted at their will. Animals emerged from their breath. And then came humans — sculpted from divine essence, life, and flame.

Purify looked satisfied. Humans began worshipping her, building temples, praying, writing her name in the winds of time. She was revered. She blessed them with intellect, language, even fragments of power.

Other goddesses soon joined her on Earth, forming an ethereal pantheon that guided the human race.

But Sara stood at a distance, her gaze growing cold.

Purify smiled at her. "Come, share this joy with me."

Sara replied flatly, "You've changed."

"What do you mean?"

"You've become… obsessed. With them. With being worshipped. You're not the same goddess I knew."

"They love me."

"They love you because you bless them. Take it away and they will spit on your name."

"That's not true."

Sara's voice rose. "They're selfish, Purify! You've created a species doomed by greed. I begged you not to!"

"They deserve a chance."

"They don't care about you! Look at them — killing, stealing, betraying. Even those who kneel only want your gifts."

"Enough! I will not war with you over this."

Sara's eyes glowed with rage. "Then I'll prove it. I'll go down to their world, strip away your blessings, and show you what they truly are — ungrateful creatures of desire."

Purify stepped forward, calm but firm. "I will not fight you."

"Then stay out of my way."

With that, Sara descended to Earth, her presence shaking the realms.

Back in the void, Metro was left speechless. "So... all of this… our history… started from a divine disagreement?"

His power crossed his arms. "And that disagreement... will return again. In your time."

Metro's heart pounded. "Why me?"

The vision faded.
