Over the next few weeks
Our love grew more,
But our daily lives kept us apart,
Our jobs, areas, and responsibilities.
I worked an endless job as a cashier,
She worked a somewhat pleasant job as a teacher.
Very unfortunately however,
My role got replaced by a machine.
A robot!
An artificial intelligence!
I was already behind on rent
So when my landlord found out
He took the opportunity
And booted me right out.
When She found out
She was sad yet happy,
I could live with Her, She said
As She twirled Her hair around Her finger.
I accepted yet I couldn't hide
The fear of not being able to work.
She saw or sensed this,
Not like I could tell.
She rubbed Her cold palm on my cheek
And laid me down upon Her lap,
Soothing me with sweet calming words
"It'll all be okay, believe it, it's true!"
She gently stroked my head
And gave it soft kisses,
"I'll take care of it my Dear."
That's what She said, with such conviction.
The next day I woke up,
I was still laying on Her lap as She stroked me.
"Good morning Dear.", She said,
I could tell She hadn't slept.
"I need to go out and run some errands,
I won't be too long.
Just sit tight okay?"
She said with a warm smile.
I kissed Her goodbye,
Then She was gone an hour.
She stepped back into the room
Holding a slightly stained knife,
She said She'd got my job back,
And a promotion too.
Knowing Her, I don't know if the knife was for Her
Or my boss.
Though I paid no mind to it
And thanked Her honourably.
"What could I do to repay you?", I asked,
She giggled and sat next to me
And pointed the knife to Her palm, saying,
"A blood oath, always be together!"
I didn't know what to say,
But before I could speak
She'd already cut Her palm
As She smiled at the blood.
I grabbed a hold of Her frantically
Yet She simply passed me the knife.
I don't know what I was thinking,
Perhaps it was my guilt?
I took the knife
Then slit my palm.
She put Her hand in mine,
Fingers interlocked,
As we both recited,
"I promise to always stay together
From now until forever
I love you."
She let go
Then got some bandages.
She treated me first
As Her blood dripped upon Her clothes.
When She was done
She laid a gentle kiss upon the bandage.
I told Her to sort Herself,
So She carefully wrapped up Her wound.
When She was done
She grasped onto me with a tight hug.
Her nails dug into me,
But I did not care.
Her hair was in my mouth,
But I did not care.
Her hands were cold,
But I did not care.
Her back was so bony,
But I did not care.
I swore,
I would kill for Her.
I swore,
I would die for Her.
I would do anything for Her.
I would give anything for Her.
I would take anything for Her.
I loved Her more than I could love.
My Angelic, Precious Sweetheart,
Rosie.
