Chapter 86: Isshiki Otsutsuki

After all, there wasn't the rich variety of cuisine and seasonings that his previous life had, so he only aimed to fill his stomach.

After eating his fill, he had nothing else to do, so he simply started developing ninjutsu again. Honestly, Torifū felt incredibly bored right now. Even though it was vacation time, there was nothing to do besides wander the streets.

On Earth, he had phones, TV, games, and so on, but here there was nothing. Although he could exchange them through the system, the current technological level hadn't even reached the most basic stage. Even if he made a phone, it would just be a brick, completely useless. Torifū himself knew nothing about technology; such things could only be handled by professionals.

While the Naruto world did have appliances like televisions, air conditioners, and refrigerators, it was unknown who invented them. If he could find this person and nurture them well, he could use the various blueprints from the system to rapidly advance Konoha's technological level! Then, mobile games and the like wouldn't just be a dream!

But again, he could only let nature take its course... After all, Orochimaru and Jiraiya at least had some clues to follow, but this potential scientist had no leads whatsoever. And Orochimaru was a biologist, not really involved with technology, which further reinforced Torifū's decision to let things happen naturally. Anyway, these were all future considerations, so he set them aside for now.

Last time, he had planned to develop a large-scale destructive ninjutsu, but he stopped halfway through. Later, various missions caused delays, leaving Torifū no time to develop the technique. Since he had a day off today, he decided to see if he could succeed in one go.

Several hours passed. On the Kumotsuru clan's training ground, crystal fragments were scattered everywhere. They sparkled under the sunlight, and Torifū looked at the shattered pieces on the ground with a smile. Clearly, he was quite satisfied with the result.

"Hmm, it just needs a bit more refinement, and then my first large-scale destructive ninjutsu will be complete!" The complexity of this technique had reached S-rank, and its power, once used, would be immense! Using it to clear out small-time thugs during a mission would undoubtedly be a waste. However, in war, it could deter enemies, making them hesitant to attack rashly, and it would also be a symbol of power.

Torifū only hoped he wouldn't have to use this technique too soon, as unleashing it would inevitably lead to bloodshed. Torifū didn't want to cause such a large-scale slaughter, provided no one provoked him. If he could continue living a peaceful life like this, that would be good too. He looked up at the sky and saw that the sun was already setting; he hadn't realized so much time had passed.

"An entire day just flew by. Tomorrow, the training begins again."

Hashirama's training was as exhausting as ever, always pushing him right to his limits. It was certainly not enjoyable, but both Torifū's and Naori's strengths were growing at a visible pace. So, neither of them complained about the training being too tough or tiring. After all, they were both individuals with their own pursuits and wills. They wouldn't be defeated by a little training.

After feeding the two celestial cranes and the old hen again, night had completely fallen. Torifū prepared to go to bed. All in all, it had been a rather fulfilling day for Torifū himself... He lay contentedly on his bed, awaiting the arrival of the next day.

In a certain temple somewhere in the Ninja World, a man dressed as a monk sat on a stone chair, his fingers continuously tapping on the armrest. Only a few candles dimly lit the entire temple, but it didn't seem to affect the man's vision.

"More than a month has passed; that person's presence has completely vanished from this world," the man muttered to himself, his voice cold and devoid of emotion. "Someone actually arrived in this world before the Otsutsuki clan. Their strength is so immense that even that woman Kaguya might not be their match."

At the mention of Kaguya's name, the man's voice clearly held a hint of anger and resentment, but it quickly returned to normal. Then he chuckled softly, "The one who betrayed me was eventually betrayed by her own biological sons. How laughable."

After a while, the man's expression returned to calmness. After a long moment of thought, he said, "Since that strong individual from another world has left this world, I can begin my plan."

"This body is too fragile to withstand my power."

"If it weren't for Kaguya! How could I have fallen so low!"

This man was Isshiki Otsutsuki, betrayed by Kaguya! He and Kaguya had come to the Ninja World together. As the lower-ranked Kaguya, she was supposed to be sacrificed to the Ten-Tails to produce the Chakra Fruit. But who would have thought that Kaguya, unwilling to die in such a way, suddenly rebelled! She severely wounded Isshiki and threw half of his body into the Ten-Tails' mouth, causing it to produce the Chakra Fruit. However, Isshiki did not die; instead, he possessed the body of a monk named Jigen. Due to his extreme weakness, it took him a very long time to suppress Jigen's ordinary consciousness and successfully seize control of the body. He could also resurrect himself at any time using the Kāma mark, but Jigen's body was too fragile to withstand Isshiki Otsutsuki's power. Even after resurrection, he would only have two days to live. Therefore, Isshiki had to find a suitable vessel, but because Kumotsuru Kajin's divine consciousness remained in this world, Isshiki had been hesitant to act.

Now, Isshiki Otsutsuki, sensing that Kumotsuru Kajin had completely disappeared, began to plot in secret. But he wasn't the only one planning.

In a certain cave somewhere, a half-black, half-white figure with something resembling a pitcher plant growing on its shoulder was smiling at the unconscious person on the stone bed. This was Black Zetsu and Uchiha Madara. However, Uchiha Madara, who had been easily annihilated by the power of the gods in that battle, remained unconscious.

White Zetsu questioned, "He's not really dead, is he? Why isn't he waking up?"

"He should be fine. He's probably just avoiding reality because his pride was wounded."

"These people are always like this, thinking their strength is quite good."

Then White Zetsu asked again, "Was offending that person really worth it? Is this person really that important?"

Black Zetsu, unfazed, chuckled in response, "He possesses the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, which is the key to awakening the Rinnegan. He cannot die." He then added, "Offending that guy was indeed not good, as even Mother was no match for him, but he seems to have already left this world."

"Oh?"

"I can't sense his presence anymore."

White Zetsu seemed relieved. "Perhaps he died. But his descendant is still in the world. Should we kill him?"

Black Zetsu recalled the little "Jet Boy" from a year ago and said, "No need. After all, he isn't Kumotsuru Kajin."
