Hiruzen was genuinely stumped. He had mentioned it to Sasuke once, and Sasuke also thought Biwako was good and suitable to be a wife. But the actual wedding date, that hadn't been decided yet.
"I haven't brought this up with Biwako yet, mainly because I'm a bit afraid of being rejected."
"But I should probably get married around twenty, right?"
Torifū nodded. Hiruzen's current age was indeed a bit young to be talking about marriage. Afterward, the group chatted about whether they should go out and have some fun after the mission ended. Last time, the trip to Sunagakure had been tough but overall quite interesting.
Since they all had a few days off after the summit, it'd be better to go out and have fun instead of just wandering around Konoha Village. However, they couldn't leave the Land of Fire.
When it was time for lunch, Torifū stopped bothering them. Hiruzen was already staring blankly at his bento. Torifū had also been quite busy that morning and was feeling a bit hungry now. But there were many street food vendors, and tasting a bit from each was usually enough to fill him up.
As for the afternoon, Torifū didn't plan to keep wandering; he'd rest well at home. After all, he had promised to help Kagami tomorrow.
Back home, Torifū opened the system store and exchanged two more [Blood Puppets]. The crimson skeletons in the room looked indescribably eerie, as if he were conducting some horrifying experiment. While Torifū could handle it, he still felt a bit disgusted, so he quickly placed Mū's blood and Shishin's blood into the hearts of the two puppets, respectively.
Flesh grew from the skeletons, eventually forming two handsome, androgynous figures. One had golden eyes, while the other had no golden parts.
Torifū manipulated the puppet activated with Mū's blood and unleashed Dust Release on the table. After paying the price of the golden silkwood table instantly vaporizing, Torifū confirmed that the puppet indeed possessed Dust Release. The Byakugan puppet didn't need testing; the golden eyes were the best proof.
Now Torifū had four puppets: the Uchiha puppet, the Uzumaki puppet, the Hyūga puppet, and the Dust Release puppet. Not to mention self-preservation, this strength was more than enough to conquer a small country, so Torifū decided to save his Peace Points for now. Torifū also wanted to see how long it would take him to break through to Kage-level if he only relied on his own training.
Torifū spent the entire afternoon controlling the Byakugan puppet. He had always seen the Byakugan's effects in the anime, and Torifū always wanted to experience it firsthand. But after unexpectedly transmigrating, he found he didn't possess a dōjutsu, so he gave up on the idea. After all, it was harder than climbing a mountain for an outsider to obtain the Byakugan, because most of those on the battlefield were from the branch family, and digging out their eyes was useless. But now, the puppet had fulfilled a dream.
After feeding the old hen, Aokumo, and Ryūfū in the evening, Torifū went to bed early. The next morning, after washing and dressing, he went out to find Kagami. The Mizukage and Tsuchikage were probably also getting ready to pack up and leave the village around this time. The summit itself had already taken three or four days in Konoha Village, and with travel time, it was almost half a month.
When Torifū arrived at the Mizukage's and Tsuchikage's residence, Kagami was already waiting there. "Kagami-nii, I'm here."
Seeing Torifū arrive on time, Kagami breathed a sigh of relief. Today, he finally wouldn't be too tired. "You're just in time, Torifū! The Mizukage-sama and Tsuchikage-sama are preparing to leave the village. We just need to escort them to the gate, just like yesterday." Torifū nodded, indicating he understood.
In a short while, the two teams gathered at their respective residences. Because both Kage were older, there were more escorts, which was understandable. Getsuji saw Torifū there and walked over to chat for a bit. After all, the two had cooperated quite well in the mixed sparring match, even if Torifū easily defeated him in the end.
"Torifū, we're leaving now. You're welcome to visit Kirigakure if you get a chance."
Torifū didn't pay too much attention to Getsuji's invitation; on one hand, they weren't very familiar with each other, and on the other, he probably was just being polite. But Torifū still feigned a pleasant expression and said, "I'm quite fond of the Land of Water. I'll definitely visit Kirigakure if I get the chance." Getsuji smiled after hearing this and didn't bother him any further; there wasn't much to talk about between the two. After all, counting this time, they had only met three times.
Mū from Iwagakure also came to chat with Torifū for a couple of words, and Torifū seemed surprisingly enthusiastic towards Mū. This left Mū a bit bewildered; he had overheard Torifū's conversation with Getsuji just now.
He thought Torifū was a rare opponent, so he came to say goodbye, even if Torifū was aloof. He hadn't expected Torifū to chat so much with him. But Torifū's positive attitude towards Mū was due to Mū's blood, which had given Torifū the Dust Release puppet. If another Ninja World War were to break out in the future, Torifū would simply use Dust Release to flatten Iwagakure.
Their casual chat was naturally not noticed by Getsuji; otherwise, wouldn't that affect neighborly goodwill?
"The next time we meet, I wonder what our respective stances will be."
Torifū smiled calmly. "My stance probably won't change; after all, I'm only seven years old."
"Seven..."
Although he had known Torifū's age for a while, every time Mū heard the number seven, he was astonished. It felt like a dream; a seven-year-old boy could defeat him. What about in the future?
After Mū said goodbye to Torifū and returned to his team, the teams from Kirigakure and Iwagakure were given notice to depart. The two teams even tried to outdo each other in how they walked, probably because of Mū's battle with Hōzuki Gengetsu.
"Uh, that, young Torifū."
Byakuren slowly spoke. "Young man, your strength is impressive, quite reminiscent of your grandfather in his youth."
Torifū's interest was immediately piqued. "You knew my grandfather?"
Byakuren nodded. "I knew a bit. Your grandfather traveled all over the Ninja World in his youth; almost every country had someone who knew him." Torifū didn't know much about his grandfather. Perhaps because his father also died young, there wasn't much mention of his grandfather in the family records. So, hearing the Mizukage bring him up, he wanted to ask.
"Mizukage-sama, were you and my grandfather friends?"
Byakuren shook his head. "Not really. He was like a gust of wind, coming and going in a hurry. I had only known him for a few days before he disappeared again. So, we weren't really friends, but we did spar once."
