Chapter 109: Vacation Spot

Tobirama was satisfied with Kagami's report but still encouraged him to keep working hard. He then curiously asked Torifū and the others a question.

"Do you notice any issues with the current ninja system in the village?"

At this, Torifū immediately understood. Tobirama was about to establish the Genin, Chunin, and Jonin system! It seemed to be in its early stages, still gathering opinions. Torifū thought for a moment, then said, "The power divisions among ninja in the village aren't clear, and the way they take on missions is a bit too casual."

Tobirama hadn't expected Torifū to hit the nail on the head. "Exactly. The power divisions among ninja in the village are too vague, leading many ninja to take on missions based only on their own perceptions. This has caused significant losses for Konoha over the years. Money is a minor issue, but the safety of the villagers is not something to be trifled with."

Hashirama picked up from Tobirama, saying, "So Tobirama suggested that I clarify the class divisions of ninja strength." Torifū nodded repeatedly; the benefits of doing so were obvious, and this kind of division would be implemented throughout the entire Ninja World in the future.

Then Hashirama added, "But dividing strength is a troublesome matter, and implementing it specifically is even harder."

"Most ninja don't have a clear understanding of their own strength, so we can't categorize them based on their subjective judgment."

Torifū smiled. "Sensei, isn't that simple? Just have tests."

Tobirama found this idea somewhat interesting and asked Torifū to elaborate.

"You can basically divide all ninja into multiple ranks, from low to high, with a promotion test at each stage. Succeed in the promotion, and you advance; fail, and you stay the same. This way, ninja will understand their own strength and be motivated to work hard for promotion."

Tobirama stroked his chin, pondering for a moment. "This way, we can regulate missions, preventing ninja below a certain rank from taking them. It can significantly reduce unnecessary casualties."

Torifū nodded. "Exactly, that's it."

Torifū and Tobirama went back and forth discussing how to divide the ninja ranks, while Hashirama sat and Kagami stood by, unable to interject. Towards the end, they couldn't even understand what Tobirama and Torifū were talking about.

After a while, Tobirama burst out laughing again. "Hahahaha, excellent, this is already perfect." While chatting, Tobirama had recorded everything. He showed it to Hashirama, explaining it as he went, and Hashirama quickly understood the benefits. While this wouldn't necessarily make Konoha stronger, the discipline of ninja within the village could improve significantly.

However, since the ninja in the village had no prior experience with these matters, it would take some time to implement. Tobirama was naturally unconcerned; it had been so many years, another month wouldn't hurt.

The mission report was done, and the ninja division idea was provided, so the two prepared to leave the office. All the pressure on Kagami instantly dissipated, and he seemed much more energetic.

"Kagami-nii, are you going home to rest or looking for Koharu-nee? The vacation spot hasn't been decided yet."

Kagami scratched his head. "I won't go for now. Just let me know when you decide where to go." Since Kagami said so, Torifū didn't press further. Mental fatigue needed time to recover. For today, he'd let Kagami rest well.

After leaving the office, they bade each other farewell. Kagami walked towards the Uchiha clan's compound, while Torifū went to the small alley where he met Hiruzen yesterday. Thankfully, he arrived early today, and Biwako hadn't come to bring Hiruzen lunch.

After greeting Hiruzen, Torifū chose to ignore him directly and walked towards Koharu.

"Koharu-nee, the mission's over. You can go back to your usual selves now."

Hearing this, Koharu was overjoyed. The clothes she'd been wearing these past few days were simply too ugly and didn't suit her at all.

"Did Torifū come here just to tell me this?" Koharu was a bit puzzled. Logically, someone would come to them soon anyway, even without a reminder.

"No, no, mainly, where should we go for fun these next few days? To relax?"

Koharu smiled. "You mean that? Naori and I discussed it, and we finally decided to go to the Capital to play. What do you think?" Torifū had no objections; he hadn't been there either, so any place would be new to him.

"Did Hiruzen-aniki and the others agree?"

Koharu blinked, looking mischievously playful. "Of course! He's the captain, how would I dare suggest it if he didn't agree?" This made Hiruzen shiver. How could he dare to disagree? If he disagreed, Koharu would really beat him up. After beating him, she'd heal him with medical ninjutsu, then beat him again. She was truly like a tigress.

Now that the vacation spot was confirmed, Torifū didn't stay any longer. Hiruzen and his team also had to report to Hokage after their mission. Torifū really wanted to hear why Hashirama had assigned them such a mission. And Torifū didn't believe that Hashirama didn't notice Hiruzen and the others slacking off in the alley every day.

But these weren't Torifū's concerns. He was currently planning to go home and lie down for a rest, even though he hadn't been very tired that morning. Just as Torifū reached the entrance of his clan compound, his peripheral vision caught sight of Mamiko. And Mamiko today seemed to be dressed differently from usual; her clothes were noticeably looser.

Torifū greeted her first. "Auntie Mamiko, where are you off to?"

Mamiko hadn't noticed Torifū's return until he called out to her. "Oh, it's Torifū. Have you returned from a mission?" Mamiko's tone was gentle and soft, like a kind mother.

"I don't have a mission, I just went to help someone. Auntie Mamiko, are you going to buy groceries?"

Mamiko nodded. "Yes, the house is short on vegetables, so I plan to go to the market to buy some. But at this hour, there might not be many fresh ones." Torifū then simply took out some vegetables from his spatial ring, which he had bought when he went to find Kagami that morning. Mamiko didn't hesitate and accepted them, then invited Torifū to eat at her home, which Torifū didn't refuse.

They chatted for a long time, but Torifū was too shy to ask Mamiko why she was dressed differently than usual. After all, Torifū and Mamiko were familiar with each other, and in all these years, he had never seen Mamiko wear clothes of this style. But perhaps her personal taste had simply changed. He guessed for a long time, and the more he guessed, the more curious Torifū became. So, he decided to ask directly, otherwise, he might feel uncomfortable all day.

"Auntie Mamiko, you usually don't seem to like wearing this style of clothing, do you? Why today..."
