Chapter 113: Princess Tsunade Senju

Since Hashirama had nothing left to teach, the two had already mastered what he had previously taught them. This allowed Hashirama more time to spend with his beloved granddaughter. However, with this newfound free time, Hashirama would secretly go gambling, and every time Mito caught him red-handed, she would give him a thorough scolding. But Hashirama never changed his ways; after placating Mito, he'd go back to gamble. Even little Tsunade, at three years old, would be seen clutching stacks of money, counting it over and over again. Hashirama saw that this child was about to be led astray by him and finally, enduring his gambling addiction, he stopped.

Torifū followed Naori to the embroidery shop, which wasn't far from their previous location, less than a hundred meters away. Although it was early morning, there was already a long line in front of the embroidery shop, with many people eager to pick up their precious new clothes first thing. Since Naori and Torifū were on a mission, they were led inside by a staff member managing the order, without having to wait in line.

The staff member led Naori and Torifū into a spacious and brightly lit room, then respectfully said, "Ninja-samas, I will inform the shop owner now. Please wait a moment."

"Thank you for your trouble."

The staff member smiled and withdrew. After about five minutes, a middle-aged woman dressed in a grayish-white garment entered the room with an assistant. Torifū and Naori rose to show respect, and the woman also bowed.

"Sirs, the Nidaime Hokage-sama's cloak has been completed. Please examine it first to see if it meets your standards." She then motioned for her assistant to place the Nidaime's cloak on a mannequin and put it on.

[T/N: I will be replacing the Hokage's numbers with Shodaime, Nidaime, Sandaime etc. Because.]

"This is a medium-length cloak designed to fit Tobirama-sama's physique."

Torifū nodded. He remembered Tobirama saying that he didn't like very long garments because he often had to run around, which was inconvenient. A medium-length one was perfect, and Kagami must have paid special attention to that. Naori looked it over from left to right, finding no flaws. As expected of Madam Beni's work, it was a masterpiece.

"It's excellent. I feel it's perfect, with no flaws. I'll take it now."

Beni breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this, then a smile appeared on her face. "If you need any modifications, please feel free to contact me at any time. The Nidaime Hokage-sama's inauguration ceremony is not to be taken lightly."

Naori nodded. "Of course."

Without much more small talk, Torifū and Naori took the cloak and left the embroidery shop; after all, the shop still had business to conduct and couldn't be delayed for too long. After leaving, Naori prepared to take Torifū back to the Uchiha compound to find Kagami. Torifū had no objections; he had been there many times, and even the Uchiha clan head was very familiar with Torifū.

The two arrived at Kagami's room and saw it filled with scattered documents, thinking something was amiss. However, they found Kagami sitting on the floor himself, looking a bit awkward at them.

"Would you believe me if I said I was so focused just now that I tripped?"

"No."

Kagami leaned on the wall to stand up, tidied his clothes, and brushed off the dust. Then he saw the cloak Naori had placed on the table. He quickly wiped his hands with something and picked up the cloak, examining it carefully.

"The craftsmanship is truly excellent; it's almost identical to the Shodaime-sama's, only the style is different."

Naori looked at her brother and felt that his mental state wasn't great. "Brother, are you too tired? Don't you want to rest?" Kagami shook his head. "If I can't even handle these small matters properly, how can I be a qualified assistant?" Don't let Kagami's usual easygoing demeanor fool you; if he sets his mind to something, he absolutely won't give up until it's done.

"The inauguration ceremony is in two days, right?"

Kagami nodded. "Yes, in two days, Sensei will become the Hokage of Konoha Village." This historic moment would arrive soon.

Torifū chatted with Kagami for a while longer, helping to ease his anxiety, then Torifū left the Uchiha compound. After all, he couldn't offer much help, and Torifū was completely clueless about handling administrative affairs. Rather than staying there and listening to Kagami ramble on about incomprehensible things, it was better to leave early. It would save everyone the trouble.

"Yo, Torifū! Long time no see."

Torifū turned around and saw Hiruzen and Koharu. He looked around but didn't see Danzō or Homura, or even Akamichi Torifū.

"No need to look, they're on other missions," Hiruzen explained to Torifū.

"Then where are you two going?"

Koharu smiled. "We took on a public order maintenance job; it only requires two people."

"Danzō said he was a bit tired of working with Hiruzen, so he let me come instead. I don't mind."

Torifū nodded and told them about his recent experience and how Kagami was struggling with the arduous position of Hokage's assistant.

"We're also contributing to the Hokage's inauguration the day after tomorrow, in our own way."

It seemed everyone was busy, yet Torifū was the only one leisurely strolling the streets. From time to time, he'd run into a familiar ninja and get dragged into helping out.

After bidding farewell to Hiruzen and Koharu, Torifū also found himself with a bit too much free time. So, he decided to head to the mission assignment office to see if there were any solo missions to pass the time. However, after looking around, there weren't any good missions. It seemed that due to the approaching Hokage's inauguration ceremony, all the good missions had already been taken. Everyone wanted to complete their missions before the ceremony; missing it would be a lifetime regret. After all, who knew how long it would be until the Sandaime Hokage took office?

With no missions to take and his friends all out on assignments, Torifū found himself in an awkward predicament. He didn't know what he should do, so he decided to go find his teacher and see what he was up to. There was still some time until noon, but if he was thick-skinned enough, he might even snag a free meal.

No sooner said than done, he arrived at the Senju compound. The Senju clan members all recognized Torifū, so they didn't stop him. Upon entering the compound, Torifū saw Hashirama leading a blonde little girl around the yard.

"Sensei, are you taking little Tsunade for a stroll?"

Before Hashirama could speak, Tsunade excitedly cried out, "Torifū-nii, Torifū-nii, you haven't come to see Tsunade in so long!"

Hashirama also chuckled, "Mito just fed her fruit, and now she's clamoring to go out and play. She's truly a difficult little imp to please."

Tsunade's face immediately puffed up with indignation. "Grandpa's talking nonsense! Tsunade isn't a difficult imp! Tsunade is a very good girl!"

Torifū walked forward and stroked Tsunade's head. "Sensei is completely wrong. Tsunade is the cutest little girl."

Tsunade turned triumphantly to Hashirama. "See, mean Grandpa! Torifū-nii said I'm the cutest!"
