Everyone's perception of the Uchiha clan had gradually changed; though it was just a little, it was still a good start.
"I probably wouldn't be suitable to be Hokage. I don't have sensei's strength, nor Tobirama-sama's intellect."
"Just being able to become an elder would be a blessing." Naori said, half-jokingly.
However, if Torifū and Naori wanted to become elders, they only needed to reach the appropriate age. In terms of status, Torifū and Naori were higher than Hiruzen and the others.
"It's not just about being powerful to become Hokage; it's about gaining the villagers' recognition. That's what Sensei said."
Naori glanced at Torifū. "That's right, the villagers really recognize you."
Torifū, seeing Naori trying to set him up again, abruptly changed the subject. If anyone overheard their conversation, they might think the two had intentions of usurping the throne.
"Look at that tree, it's quite beautiful, isn't it?"
Naori could only quietly cooperate with Torifū's act. "Hmm, not bad."
The wind on the mountaintop was strong; sometimes it made it hard for them to open their eyes. Now that there were no grand ideals to discuss atop the Hokage Rock, the two descended the mountain and returned to the village.
As expected, they heard villagers discussing the commotion on the mountaintop. Seeing Torifū and Naori descend from the mountain, they all gathered around, incessantly asking questions. A crowd of people speaking at once led to countless questions, and Torifū didn't know how to answer. In the end, he vaguely told them that the Hokage had been sparring with someone on the mountaintop and that they needn't worry.
The villagers firmly believed Torifū's words. After all, he was the Hokage's disciple and had witnessed the entire event firsthand, so it had to be genuine information. They immediately dispersed and returned to their homes to share the news, most of them embellishing it somewhat. Some even spread false rumors like the Hokage fighting aliens! And astonishingly, some people actually believed it.
Torifū then realized he might have created a small problem for his teacher, but he figured these wouldn't be issues for his teacher.
Torifū and Naori had lunch and then returned home to rest.
However, what puzzled Torifū was that the chaos event regarding Kakuzu had not yet shown as complete. Just as Torifū was pondering what was going on, a flash of inspiration struck him.
A smile then appeared on his face. A golden mark flashed on his arm, and four streaks of light shot out, rapidly fleeing towards the outside of Konoha Village. "I hope it's as I think."
Watching the puppets disappear into the distance, Torifū felt a bit uneasy. If the chaos event wasn't successfully completed, he would get more of that damned chaos value. Although he could erase it with Peace Points now, Peace Points should be used where they matter most, and spending them on something that could be completely avoided was a waste.
Torifū had thought about taking a stroll down the street, and perhaps seeing if there was anything he needed to buy. But as soon as he stepped out, he heard villagers nearby discussing the Hashirama's fight with the aliens. After listening closely for a while, Torifū thought the person should just write novels instead; their description felt even more detailed than his, who had actually witnessed the normal fight standing beside Hashirama. The only difference was that the target had changed from Kakuzu to aliens.
Seriously, didn't anyone care why the aliens also used chakra? Why weren't they talking about that? It could even contribute to the Ninja World's scientific research. But joking aside, Torifū realized that this was absolutely not a good time to go out. If his neighbors caught him and started gossiping for three days straight, the chaos event would be completely game over.
"Forget it, I'll just lie low at home for now."
Snowflake in the yard looked a bit confused seeing Torifū go in and out, but she still said warmly, "Welcome home."
Torifū thanked her and then lay on his bed, completely immersing his thoughts into the Sharingan puppets. He looked at the surrounding terrain, estimating that they were now roughly in the central region of the Land of Fire. He hadn't expected Kakuzu to be quite the runner, but with the Byakugan puppet in hand, there was no fear of losing track.
Torifū controlled the puppets to accelerate again. This level of movement barely consumed Torifū's chakra. Finally, after Torifū's burst of acceleration, he saw a ninja leaping through the treetops in the distance.
Kakuzu also noticed the four puppets behind him. He thought Konoha Village had sent ninja to kill him. He immediately sped up.
"What the heck! They're so fast!"
"Earth Release: Lightening Boulder Jutsu."
The Dust Release puppet perfectly replicated all of its master's abilities, naturally including this secret technique of Iwagakure. The four puppets, their weight removed by the Lightening Boulder Jutsu, immediately soared into the sky, rapidly advancing towards Kakuzu.
Kakuzu had thought he had shaken off his pursuers, but when he looked back, he thought, 'What the hell, how are they flying now?!'
This was really an attempt to kill him! Kakuzu desperately wanted to run faster, but he was already at his limit. Although he hadn't been injured in the fight with Hashirama, he had consumed a massive amount of chakra to defend against Hashirama's ninjutsu. His chakra was now almost depleted, and it would take some time to recover. He could only gamble that these people would give him a chance.
But he was clearly wrong.
Golden chains appeared from seemingly nowhere, binding him in successive loops! He tried to break free with brute force, but he couldn't tear the chains apart.
"Don't waste your effort. These are Adamantine Chains; even tailed beasts can't break them."
This made Kakuzu's hair stand on end, not because of the Adamantine Chains, but because the Uzumaki puppet's voice was utterly hollow, devoid of any emotion. This made Kakuzu think it was a living corpse.
At this moment, Torifū manipulated the Sharingan puppet to approach Kakuzu. "You certainly made me chase you for a long time."
Since Torifū had poured all his thoughts into the Sharingan puppet, the puppet's speaking tone was identical to Torifū's, though the voice itself was different.
"Why are you chasing me?! The First Hokage already promised to let me live!" Kakuzu continued to desperately struggle against the chains, constantly twisting. This made it difficult for Torifū to talk to him normally. This greatly annoyed Torifū.
Suddenly, a white skeletal claw appeared from behind him and grabbed Kakuzu. The sudden grip almost made Kakuzu spit out a mouthful of blood. Even if Kakuzu didn't recognize the Uzumaki clan's Adamantine Chains, he certainly recognized Susanoo. Not to mention the Sharingan clearly visible in its eye socket, though why was it golden? But if Konoha really wanted to kill him, why send so many strong individuals? The one next to him, if his guess was correct, should be the Byakugan.
Various thoughts flashed through Kakuzu's mind, but he dismissed them one by one. Just as he continued to let his imagination run wild, Torifū spoke calmly.
"I have a proposal. Would you care to hear it?"
