Chapter 125: Live Broadcast

Inside the office, Torifū discussed implementation details with Hashirama and Tobirama. Torifū also offered some of his personal insights for Hashirama and Tobirama to consider.

Progress was excellent. At this rate, the Konoha Military Police Force could be officially established in two weeks. However, it would probably take more time before it could be fully operational, as recruitment and training of personnel also required a certain period. The police personnel would certainly be ninja, and if they accidentally killed an ordinary person while dealing with public order issues, that would be disastrous. Ultimately, the Military Police Force's main purpose was deterrence. If people had a sense of fear, they would surely think twice before doing anything bad.

Time passed quickly; an hour went by in a flash.

A knock sounded at the door. Naori's soft voice spoke from outside the office: "Sensei, Tobirama-sama, I'm coming in."

Naori pushed open the office door with one hand, holding an exquisite bag, likely made of some kind of silk, in the other. After bowing to the two lords, Naori placed the bag on Hashirama's desk.

"Tobirama-sama, this is the Hokage cloak you'll be wearing soon. I've been keeping it safe."

Tobirama smiled, then patted Naori's head. "Well done, Naori."

Tobirama didn't fuss; he directly took the cloak from the bag and put it on. The white cloak, embroidered with fiery red patterns, and the five large characters "Nidaime Hokage" on its back, made Tobirama's authority skyrocket. Combined with Tobirama's slightly cold expression, it made Torifū and the others swallow.

"Tobirama-sama has such presence!" Naori said with immense admiration.

Hashirama, seeing his own student admire his younger brother so much, felt a surge of jealousy. But there was nothing he could do. One was his brother, the other was his student, a female student at that; he couldn't hit or scold either of them. He could only endure the sour feeling.

However, seeing his brother wear the Hokage's cloak, Hashirama also felt incredibly emotional. He hadn't expected Konoha Village to welcome its Nidaime Hokage so soon; he still felt like Konoha Village had just been built. If Madara hadn't gone astray, how wonderful it would have been; he should have been part of today's grand occasion. But what's done is done; there's no need to sigh in lament. Hashirama wasn't that sentimental; he turned around and dismissed the thought from his mind.

At this moment, Hiruzen and the others also arrived. Hiruzen was walking with his back as straight as a bamboo pole, eager to prove himself. After all, he was about to become the Hokage's disciple, a title he had coveted for a long time.

"Hashirama-sama, Sensei, we're here." Hiruzen knocked on the door, then pushed it open and entered. Danzō, Koharu, Homura, and Akamichi Torifū followed him into the office. Thankfully, the office was large enough to accommodate all of them. After exchanging glances with Torifū, Kagami, and Naori, they quickly returned to their normal expressions.

Tobirama looked at Hiruzen. "How is the order being maintained?"

Hiruzen respectfully reported the situation to Hashirama and Tobirama. "The order outside is stable. Ninja are stationed at regular intervals to prevent stampedes or theft."

Tobirama nodded, satisfied with Hiruzen's report. He had always been very strict with his disciples, demanding that they do everything perfectly. That's why Hiruzen and the others possessed such strength, making them top-tier ninja throughout the village. According to the ninja ranking system he had just drafted, Hiruzen and the others would be considered Jonin or Elite Jonin level.

"Very good, keep at it."

"Yes, sir!"

After receiving the order, Hiruzen left the office with his teammates. All six of his disciples, including Kagami, had now graduated and were working for Tobirama. Hiruzen and the others, including Kagami, served as Tobirama's bodyguards as the Nidaime Hokage. However, Tobirama intended for Kagami to help him handle some political affairs to cultivate his abilities. This way, when Kagami became the clan head in the future, he would be more adept.

About four hours later, it was almost time for the inauguration ceremony. Hashirama had already put on his Hokage robes two hours prior, but Torifū always felt that the robe was too bulky. It didn't suit the God of Shinobi's demeanor; instead, it looked somewhat like a Sand Village outfit. But since it would probably be the last time he saw his teacher wear this outfit, it didn't matter.

Tobirama's cloak was much more stylish than the robe. It looked quite simple and efficient, perfectly fitting Tobirama's decisive way of doing things.

"Alright, it's time to go."

Hashirama said, then rose from the Hokage's seat, gently stroked the desk, smiled, and left the office, heading towards the rooftop.

Initially, the villagers were quite calm, discussing various topics with their friends, and order was not difficult to maintain. But when Hashirama and Tobirama appeared on the rooftop, the entire Konoha Village erupted! Everyone loudly cheered for Hashirama and Tobirama, their emotions incredibly high! Even the most aloof person would be ignited by the villagers' fervor at this moment!

Everyone surged towards the Hokage building. The ninja tried to stop them, but how could the strength of a few individuals contend with a sea of people? All the ninja who attempted to stop them were swept along by the villagers, carried all the way to the front of the building. But it was far from over. Villagers still at home heard the shouts outside and knew the ceremony was about to begin, so they poured out of their homes and onto the streets. The crowd instantly more than doubled.

Just as the ninja were powerless to stop them, Hashirama spoke: "Everyone, please stay where you are. I understand your excitement, but please also look at our compatriots around you; some are already being squeezed badly."

When Hashirama spoke, it was infinitely more effective than having ninja manage the order. Not a single villager continued to push towards the building. Hashirama looked at Torifū and nodded at him. Torifū understood, then quickly formed a hand sign: "Crystal Release: Giant Crystal Mirror!"

In an instant, many huge, light-pink crystal mirrors appeared above various streets in Konoha. Then, a miniature mirror was created in front of Hashirama. At this point, the villagers realized that they could watch Hashirama through the mirrors. Since that was the case, there was no longer any reason for anyone to keep pushing. Some even retreated a few meters. This way, the entire situation was brought under control. It had to be said that this live broadcast technique was very useful. Konoha Village was too large and too populous. Everyone wanted to witness the handover of the Hokage's position firsthand, so they naturally squeezed desperately towards the front.
