Jacinta opened the book, her eyes widening in surprise. The pages were filled with concepts and illustrations that resembled scientific theories from Earth. The terms were different, but the ideas were clear enough for her to understand.
"The author of this book," she asked, curiosity burning in her gaze. "Where is he now?"

Sadly, he passed away… a century ago." His fingers brushed over the edge of the table. "But his legacy lives on. Many of his theories have influenced my magical inventions."
Jacinta's hands lingered on the book's cover. "Then if you already knew everything I wrote in my letter, why meet with me at all?"
