Without hesitation, Xiao bai's body shimmered with blue light, and in an instant, she transformed back into her exotic beauty form. With long, graceful strides, she walked elegantly to his side.

Neptune gazed at her expectant expression and raised his palm. The surrounding spiritual energy gathered, condensing into a water blue pearl.

"Swallow it," he instructed simply.

Xiao bai blinked her beautiful eyes but didn't hesitate. She trusted him and was merely curious about what effect the pearl would have.

As she took the pearl from his hand, she could feel the concentrated water essence within. Without further thought, she placed the pearl into her delicate pink lips.

The moment it entered her mouth, a wave of pure water energy surged through her body!

"It's a Water Spirit Pearl, condensed from pure water energy," Neptune explained. "Your transformation is different from ordinary soul beasts. Normal soul beasts permanently evolve into human forms, but you merely borrow a human form temporarily. In essence, you are still a marine creature, unable to survive without water. "The Water Spirit Pearl continuously releases water energy inside your body, replenishing the moisture you lose while on land. This keeps you in a balanced state."

Upon hearing his explanation, Xiao bai's face lit up with joy. "So that means… I can stay on land as long as I want now?"

"Of course not."

Neptune shook his head. "The Water Spirit Pearl is not permanent. The energy within it is finite it won't last forever. I estimate it can only sustain you for about half a month."

She was even more enthusiastic than Neptune, the actual trial candidate.

Neptune couldn't help but laugh he never expected Xiao bai, who was usually so composed, to act this excited just because she could stay on land longer.
