Anna's colleagues arrived, and they all gathered around a long table. During their entrance to the clubhouse, I caught a glimpse of the two most handsome men I had ever seen, but couldn't see them clearly because of the crowd that surrounded them and the room was dimly lit with bulbs of different colors.
I hate a crowded area. That was the reason I always chose to stay back at home whenever Anna and Sophie suggested we go to a clubhouse.
I move to a corner of the room, it's more like a private area. Likewise, I brought out a book and started reading.
" Hey!" A voice said, making me look up from the book I was reading.
"Hi" I said, looking as lively as I could.
" I also like the Trojans," he said, pointing to the book I was reading.
" Really!" I ask surprised because most of the handsome guys around the area don't always appreciate stuff like this, they prefer to talk you into going to bed with them.
So I was amazed that a handsome guy like this could be in love with stuffs like this. Even though I couldn't see his face clearly in the room, I know he is charming and the Aura that exudes from him as he speaks shows that he isn't just anybody, his voice is deep and sexy. Nobility shows in every aspect of his. Thank goodness the room is dimly lit because I couldn't help but blush hard.
" Yes, I really admire the Greek. They are great warriors, dramatist, poets, writers, and philosophers" he said, taking a seat beside me.
" During the Trojans war, what did you think might have happened if Achilles hadn't fought alongside Agamemnon?" He asks, smiling.
"Oh! He looks so charming." I thought, but quickly brushed off the thought.
" Well, obviously the Trojans would have won the war." I answered confidently.
" Why did you think so?" He asked, feigning innocence.
" Because, Prince Hector is a great warrior who is so dedicated to his country, he is a great Patriot of Troy, a soldier at heart. His way of strategizing war is just so great." I remark sharply.
" Wow!" He said, grinning widely as he claps his hands.
" Who did you think caused the chaos?" He asks, smirking.
" Prince Paris." I answered.
" Yes, but did you think he was the only culprit here?" He asks, staring intently at me.
" And Aphrodite, the goddess of erotic love, maybe." I said, in a not so sure tone.
" That's great! It was because of Aphrodite's promise to him that made Queen Helen fall in erotic love with him, and that was the beginning of the Trojans doom." He said firmly and calmly.
" By the way, my name is Paris". It's a pleasure talking to you.
" Tara, I'm Tara by name." I said, accepting his handshake.
" It's nice meeting you, Tara" he said, grinning widely.
" And you, Paris." I said smiling.
" Oh!" I said as soon as I catch up with his name.
" So you snatched king Menelaus's wife! That's so brave of you." I retorted jokingly.
" Don't blame me, I couldn't resist beautiful ladies." He replied chuckling.
" Your cup is empty, mind if I fill it up?" He asks, leaving me stunned.
" Waiter." He calls out before I could decline.
" Fill the cups with the best cocktail of mixed spirits you have." He ordered.
The waiter returned as quickly and filled our glasses.
" Prince Paris back then might have been a weakling, but this Paris in front of you is a brave man."
He said, chuckling.
" I love Hector, and Achilles." I think those two are the main definition of warriors because all they ever fought for was their kingdom.
" No matter what you say, Paris is still the best, that gentleman is a great vibe, he even kills Achilles, the great warrior of that time." He said in a serious tone.
" Yes, but that was just out of luck." I retorted firmly.
" Well, coward, Paris remains after the war, where the great warriors of Greece and Troy had fallen." He said happily.
" Why are you sitting here all alone." Paris asks curiously.
Then I remembered that I had been sitting alone waiting for Anna, I checked my wristwatch, then I realized I had spent two hours waiting.
" I am waiting for a friend." I said curtly.
" Where is he or she?" He asks.
" She said she will be having a get-together with her colleagues, I bet they will have been done by now."
" Sorry, will you excuse me, I have to go look for my friend, it is nice chatting with you though?" I said, smiling and offering my hand to shake him.
He looked at my hand and said," let's look for her together. I would like to meet with her." He said, grinning mischievously.
" You are so funny, and I like that a lot." I said.
We got to the table that was reserved for them, no one was there. This got me so angry I wanted to scream, but I had to compose myself.
" Oops. It seems they left already." I said, forcing a smile to hide my anger.
" Yeah." He replied curtly.
" Thanks for keeping my company tonight, I really appreciate, but I must take my leave now." I said heading out.
" Wait, let me give you a lift." He offered.
" No, I really appreciate that, but my friend must be waiting for me in the car." I said, declining his offer.
" Alright then let me see you off at least" he offers again.
I obliged, and we left for the parking lot, but to my horror, the car wasn't there either. I became angry, and without caring about my surroundings, I screamed in frustration.
" Fuck you, Anna."
He looked at me in shock and laughed, I joined in with awkward laughter.
" If you don't mind, I can still drive you home." He said calmly.
" I was thinking if I could get a cab, then you wouldn't have to pass through the stress giving me a ride." I said, feeling embarrassed.
" No, you're not stressing me at all, and everywhere is dark, so it's not safe for a pretty lady like you." He said.
" Alright, thanks." I said, accepting his offer.
