“Do things?” Nigel asked.
“Well.” Pete dropped his gaze to Nigel’s chest, his voice husky. “I want to do this with you, not to you. But I want this to be together. Is that okay?”
Nigel frowned, his brow furrowing as a wave of uncertainty washed over him. What was bloody hell was Pete trying to explain? Saying yes felt like navigating a minefield when he wasn’t entirely sure of the landscape. On Umicore Prime, ignorance was a death sentence, a luxury he couldn’t afford. He’d learned to absorb information and fast. He needed to do that now.
“Pete.” He sighed, a ragged breath escaping him. “Just tell me clearly what you want, mate. This is me. You can talk to me. Talk all you want. I like it.”
